You guys totally missed the whole point here. Stemming from the original thread where this poll came from, it serves no purpose at all.

No one said to get rid of the B&M topic hence there was no need for the poll.

The whole point was to make this forum a better and more organized place.

The whole point was to stop hiding the issues of this game and to bring them more out in the open.

What happened to the help section revamp one of the mods suggested. This is what this poll should have been about.

Now we are back to square one. Nice job guys.

You can make a thread in site suggestions detailing your suggestions, the thread was more to get a general feeling about the B&M thread.

I already gave my suggestions.

You guys as mods should take the initiative to better organize the help section. You dont need me to make suggestions. You guys knows what needs to be done.

Imo it comes down to laziness. Its easier to hide all the issues in one thread and not be bothered.

I found your reply in that thread, so I guess I'll respond to that.

The help and support section is just for people looking for solutions to their problems...people pretty much go there to post topics, not look at the other topics there; pins do even less than the do normally and the only people who browse it are those looking to answer threads. Chucking all the ongoing issues with the game into that section would pretty much destroy any traffic they'd get because of how the section gets used, and it's not gonna get any big enough changes to focus on those threads since we'd still need to have it as a place for people to get their good ol' general game support. And generally? Threads about ongoing problems, if they get posted to the main section, don't just get locked and dumped, they're allowed to stay (or at least I don't lock 'em) - I'm not really sure if threads get made by anyone, they might and I'd be wrong about them not getting locked which would just mean being less lock-happy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Either way, I'm not sure there's much of an issue with staff hiding things and more the community not getting the activity going in the first place.

Well my example was the current missing ammo bug though there are many other issues that can be addressed.

There are scattered threads all over the forum regarding this bug. It is known about by everyone.

I mean why are there not dedicated threads for the bigger issues such as this one.

As the largest gta forum in the world we have the perfect platform to highlight and bring things like this out in the open.

If we have 10 threads with 2-3 responses each what good does that do?

Where as if we had 1 dedicated thread with 100 responses then wed have something to bring forth to R attention.

Dedicated threads are up to users to create if they feel it's necessary, there's already a few PSA threads out there so it's not like we lock 'em or anything.

Any problem threads in help & support we can't really do anything with due to how the section works; merging them all wouldn't really do anything to the effect of PSA threads in the main section anyhow.

As far as I can tell, we'd just people creating the threads in the main section in the first place.

This is the point dude. Users create 10 threads of the same subject. Its up to the mods to organize them and put them all into 1 thread. Users can not do this and instead search through 10 similar threads to find answers.

There's a balance here.

A couple of threads asking the same question separated by a few pages, then either leave open both or merge.

Ten threads on the same topic, three of which are on the front page, then the nine least active get locked.

Anything between is basically moderators discretion.

The search function exists and works reasonably well. Even if it didn't, there's no excuse for people not even skimming the first page of topics to make sure there's not one already there.

You guys are either missing my point or purposely avoiding it.

If no one gives a sh*t then whatever I guess I tried.

If they're in the help & support section then it doesn't make much sense to organise them in any way for the reasons I stated earlier. If they're in the main section, then yeah they should be funnelled into one thread...but if staff don't realise that they're duplicate threads then there's no harm in reporting a thread to point that out.

A lot of the time I will redirect to an existing thread, and no one posts in it, or a thread just dies out on its own. There's little we can do in those cases.
