Download a backup of original player.img and then edit it.

Use the IMG Tool from GTAGarage. It's a much better option.

why should that be better? is it possible to change or add multiple files by one action?

maybe it's better to start as beginner with this simple tool, but on win10 it gives first an error message and then it's normally open in the background

Alci's img editor seems to be the most stable and pratical, however it only works on San Andreas' .img archives.

The seems to be needing help with a San Andreas IMG Archive.

I suggested it because of the simplicity. The error message shows up on Windows 8/8.1 as well.
