Hello people of gta fourms, i have bought gta 4 on steam and is currently trying to mod it. Having disabled live and installed a trainer, i thought i give car mods a go. However i don't have \common\text\american.gxt

Is there any fix for this?

It should be in your \text folder. You cant find it somewhere else in the IV root.

In that case, the file is missing.

You just need to reinstall the game. We also dont share any files or if its even in a piracy case.

Im not sure if steam made errors durring the installation...maybe you should let other programms closed whenever you install something.

I do have one in the text folder, but it doesn't seem to get recognized. Although i have found away around the issue with openIV and that works, other programs like the Vehicle Mod Installer and sparkIV doesn't bizarrely. I might mess around and see if i can work it out, thanks for the help. :)  :r*:
