Yesterday I found out that there is a few vehicles in GTA IV and V which you can also find in Vice City and San Andreas with almost identical appearance (based on the same Make, Model and Generation anyway).

These cars are Sabre, Blista Compact, Voodoo & Stallion (the oldest one, being in the Series since GTA 3!)

Well, there are the obvious: Police Car, Ambulance, Fire Truck, etc, but they changed design so much they could hardly be considered the same vehicle. The Stallion is probably the oldest to keep its original inspiration, being similar to a mix of Oldsmobile/Mustang since GTA I.

The Sabre changed its looks in IV, where it ended up looking like an 80s Monte Carlo instead of a 70s Cutlass. Then the old III generation Sabre got renamed to the Sabre GT or something like that. I mean it's kinda the same but technically naw

Also would the Rancher and Sanchez count?

No, police and taxi cars are TOTALLY different in every game. SA, IV & V Banshees are Vipers, but not the same generation + there is no Viper-based vehicle in Vice City. I thought about Rancher, and I think it can be counted, since Rancher XL is basically FBI Rancher in VC and SA.

Also we got Cheetah (named "Cheetah Classic" in GTA Online) which is pretty the same Ferrari Testarossa in VC, SA and GTAO. But since GTAO is not counted as GTA, the car can't be counted as well.

Yes, kids, before GTA cars started flying, me, Chiro, Algonquin Assassin and many other true GTA fans were used to run away from VCPD detectives who have been driving undercover Cheetahs and drive ones ourselves down the hilly San Fierro streets back in the 00s.

In IV the Sabre GT still looks like a 70s Cutlass

But the Sabre itself is an 80s Monte Carlo.

Again, minor but still technical.

The Sabre GT/Turbo looks more like a Chevelle SS, rather than a Cutlass IMO, or a mix of both.

It was a BMW in every generation we've seen in the series, but the 3D era cars were based on the E28 M5 (VC, VCS & SA), and the newer E39 M5 (LCS & III). The HD era ones were M3's rather than the M5. The M5 is reestablished with the current-gen Oracle though. It wasn't just one particular model unlike the Blista Compact (Honda CR-X).

Too bad the Infernus don't count. Jaguar in 3/LCS, Lambo in VC/VCS/4/5 but why in SA is it a stupid Honda?

Mind you the Infernus in SA also bears a resemblance to a Lambo/Ferrari concept that looked like an NSX.

The III/LCS Infernus is a Vector M12. Not a Jaguar. Its looks bear little resemblance to any Jaguar of the late '90s. It certainly looks nothing like the two listed on the wikia.
