Various conspiracy related aspects added in game, and the expansive map with countryside and creepy nights, which lead to several interesting rumours like Big Foot, etc. Its so addictive to form theories from all kinds of interesting things sprinkled around throughout the game. It was a lot of fun back then for conspiracy buff's like me in finding clues to discuss and come up with all kinds of theories, and it's still as interesting as it was in the past.
But, what really stands out to me about SA is how imaginative most of these theories, and rumours are, based on several fan made videos, write ups, and tons of other stuff posted over the years.

No GTA comes close to this awesome experience.
Unfortunately, there are people (don't understand what harm there could be in having missions like green goo, etc ) who couldn't tolerate their inclusion that added a new aspect to the GTA formula, beyond just mafia based plots, and murdering psychpaths running the errands, and driving for the most part, lacking enough freshness to keep it interesting outside the story, and this is where SA managed to take the idea of GTA to a different level, while still sticking to it's roots.

So, I never understood all the whining and complaining about the Green Goo, and other stuff added like the jetpack, or teased within SA based on their existence in real life.

You can customize your character haircuts/clothes etc. and in GTA VC, GTA III, GTA 4, GTA 5 you can't do that.

I agree; this is two missions and once you did it, it's finish.. Gone! Two f*cking missions on a total of 100..And at least, you get a jetpack, which is fun.

The ability to explode a vehicle by shooting the fuel tank makes the fights easier and gives the opportunity to kill many enemies in a row without having a powerful weapon. It's a little but useful feature.

This game has style. Pedestrian comments are cool. Cj's replies are ciool. Radio is cool too. I love it how DJs diss each other and random people call in and talk sh*t on every station. SA was the fisrt game whre radio hosts made mention oimorniong/evening/nighttime. It is all dynamic in SA. aS player makes progress radio t<lk will change accordingly. Like when you rob stores in countryide you'll hesr s mrntion of it on K-Rose.

Everything in SA kicks ass. All the poissiblilties, places you can got to, tjngs to

GTA San Andreas is a perfect game. There will be nothing like it ever again.

I like the aesthetics of the empty desert late at night. In general the atmosphere is pretty great, especially on the PS2 with its effects.

The pizza delivery job pays much better than in Vice City, you can replay it at will and the asset generating money is a much more immersion-friendly reward than the 50% additional health you receive in Vice City.

Yeah man, the game looks beautiful on PS2 - even with standard composite cables-

PC has draw distance, AA - but still it looks best on PS2 - sunrise, sunset, everything - I don't ever wanna play it on PC again.

Man, I still can't believe I'm playing this on PS2 - a dream come true.

In Vice City all the safehouses you buy are just nice exteriors you can never visit and the big manor you get is just an empty nutshell filled with hallways, in San Andreas your safehouses really look like houses and when you buy a luxurious house you really feel wealthy.

What's more even if CJ has some lame savepoints at least he didn't pay to get them contrary to Tommy Vercetti with that crappy garbage Scumhole shack.

To make it short apart for the hotel suites the San Andreas safehouses are much better made than the Vice City ones.

Contrary to Vice City leading a gang is useful, you can gain power, conquer territories and earn money. This feature increases the gaming pleasure and adds to the achievement feeling when you reach the 100% completion. The fact your enemies can take your territories back and you nearly can't conquer some adds to the immersion and to the replay value once you completed the game.

Contrary to Tommy Vercetti who waits like a pussy bitch for his enemies to attack his companies CJ manly attacks his enemies to control the city like a true kingpin. Here's at least one point where CJ looks like a true badass where Tommy looks like a pussy, a point where CJ's personality is largely better designed than Tommy's and where San Andreas' scenario makes more sense than Vice City's.

The players can book a flight ticket to travel to other cities. I was so happy to know about this feature the first time I came to know that it existed in game. Such a cool, nice little feature.

The Pizza and Burger shop interiors.
One of the best designs and makes you feel you are in in-world. While Vice City did have pizza shop but lack of npcs inside it made it feel empty.
While in sa there are people ordering food or eating on table

Yeah I really enjoyed this feature. It's a small feature but it does a lot to make the already big SA map feel even bigger. I only remembered it on my 2nd playthrough, and I was thinking, "wow I forgot about this !"

You'll change your mind about PC if you play SA with SkyGfx and Project2dfx.

Features all around. The most gameplay depth of all gtas. Almost Unlimited interactivity. It is objectively the most fun to play out of the series. Incredible missions, you could be sneaking into a mansion to steal a rhyme book, robbing casino controlled by the mafia, driving a motorcycle into a f*cking jet!, stealing a jet pack from a top-secret military facility, and whole lot of other crazy sh*t.

What does it better than the rest?

1. Lot of new features (swimming, climbing, etc.)
2. Some of the silliest, but seriously awesome cheats are from this game
3. Its rpg-like stuff ( separate clothes, you can make cj fat or fit, etc.) that attracted lot of casual gamers to play it.
3. Some people would say its storyline are better written than older game (like some people in YouTube made numerous video (theories) about characters in this game to prove their point).
4. Its expanded vehicle capabilities.
5. Its unused stuff that made some people including here on this forum, felt attracted to brought it up.
6. Some of the area in this game are so eerie and dank that it became source for bogus rumours that spreads around the net and caught a lot of gamers to prove it.
7. DYOM
8. You can expand the rest

I guess that's what I can say about it.

Speaking just for myself of course, I would say that the ability to change practically anything and modify it. It gives you so much to use and draw from and work with.

I was practically heart broken when I'd heard how much was removed from V, so much so that I've convinced myself that the V generation was just a test and that it would all come back in the next edition. Even as retarded as San Fierro is by game-design, not having it or Vegas in V, or mini games or eating is all missed, by me at least.

How easily you can easily start fights between pedestrians, and having them even killing cops...

In GTA Online you need to jump towards one while he falls into another to start a fight between them, and even then there's a chance that the other one attacks you instead of the dumbf*ck who falled into him.

In San Andreas you can even put a prostitute to kill 3 or 4 pedestrians and then congratulate her in your car...

Killing pedestrians and cops with the cable car in San Fierro is also great...

And of course the legendary Julius Thruway massacres, a great place to kill cops, change your melee weapon constantly and get some bucks, because only fools die there burned or with the explosions.
