Should've been an Annis 190Z. What is R* smoking anyway?

To be fair the the 240Z was never a Nissan anyway, it was a Datsun.

The Warrener was based on the Datsun, but was manufactured by Vulcar. Plus, isn't Karin based on Toyota?

I think they do this just to troll us. ;)

edit ot I think this is a gorgeous car and the rear end works for me because hell it works on the Lusso. The rest is straight up 240Z and I love those dearly since they came out (my first issue of Motor Trend had the new 240Z on the cover).

Which is still Nissan.  Datsun was just rebranding that Nissan did to introduce their cars to the U.S. in the 70s.  The 240Z was sold in Japan under the Nissan Fairlady name, same car.

This has the wooden interior from the Rapid GT Classic. Guess the dials kinda fit but the ones from the Savestra or maybe GT500 would have looked a lot better. Another dumb choice by Rockstar.

900k is a bit much, but I guess it has an excuse for being expensive because a bit of it is based off of the 2000GT and that thing I think is very rare.

Just ignore him mate. Better for all of us. Hes never gone stop and we have to accept it. Dont give him anymore attention than he already gets. His channel will die sooner or later.

@Snoopbr - excuse me while I try to maintain my best fake 'surprised' face... :bored:

Wouldn't kill him to ask first, would it? Yeah, 'it's online, and there's nothing stopping him doing it' - but it's bad form, and even Take-Two's own policy on UGC (user-generated content) is that they'd prefer players to ask each other permission first, and only then re-purpose the work of others with proper credit/links, out of basic courtesy.

Yeah - a lot of the engine things in particular feel like Benny's options. Same with the other older cars in this update, like the decals/liveries/etc. for the Hustler/Hermes, which feel like an improved take on what R* did with the Slamvan Custom.

Almost makes me a bit sad, because (like with the move away from Pegasus towards custom aircraft and whatnot) it seems like R* is just bypassing Benny, and putting the custom parts straight on the cars. And I kinda liked the whole aspect of taking a suitable car to a specialist custom aftermarket garage, like you might in the real world. R* never quite worked out what they were doing with that, did they? :sigh:

Too bad YouTube doesn't ban clickbaiters. Maybe we could convince modders to get MrClickbaitFTL a taste of his own medicine in GTA Online?

RIP Requiem.

...the more I think about it, the more I wonder if the 'Annis Requiem' mod didn't inspire this to happen - and why the back end leans a wee bit too Ferrari (instead of something like a C110 or a Celica liftback), unless you take steps to play up the rest of it, or make it look more 2000GT.

The 'Requiem' really does get me rolling my eyes, though - Mafia III's De'Leo 58 looks as much like an MG MG at the front as anything else, with a rear more like a Ferrari 250 GT Lusso (with four lights like a later Ferrari), and even 250 GTE elements incorporated into the MGB-ish grille. And that makes some sense - after all, Pininfarina worked on the MGB, so there's a tenuous connection, at least.

I just hope R* isn't looking at things like the Watch Dogs Vespid HMI 'Gauntlet Classic' mod, and using that as the basis for an actual GTAO Gauntlet Classic in future - again, that car's an alright blend of Challenger-ish front and Chevelle-ish rear (but with a weirdly bendy body that looks like an elephant sat on it during production...), but something like a proper Challenger front with Barracuda elements would work so much better, IMO.

/rant :p

Okay - just remembered that the Mazda RX-2/Capella exists, and now we can just ignore the Ferrari altogether. :colgate:

Actually now that I look at it the rear takes some heavy influence from Opel GT.

Well, no Rotsun mods unfortunately. Still a nice, unique looking car with a solid list of modifications.

I noticed that the wheels on this car are very thin. If you select the wheels from tuner category, will they become thicker?

Again wrong branding but it looks good and at least they got the country of origin right this time lol.

Other than Datsun/Nissan I also see TVR and Triumph influence's in this car.

Beautiful car, but the fender flares are kinda pointless without proper fitment. They should be more like the retinue imo, or extend the tires outward to fill the emptiness that is the wheel well. Car is gorgeus tho with lots of mods.

They really need to go back to doing stock and custom versions (Specter style). The people who like to keep their classics clean hate the forced widebody kits, but when they're an optional extra, the wheels are lost in the extended arches, and that pisses off the tuners.

Only problem with that is that the stock versions end up with generic interiors, no modifications, etc. - and the custom version winds up more like the Comet Retro, where there's so much cool stuff, but only if you like the forced widebody stuff.

That still frustrates me about the Itali GTB/Custom - the widebody stuff on the Custom is aftermarket stuff, but the racing liveries are based on McLaren's own performance versions of the 570S, which aren't fitted with arch extensions. It's a weak compromise either way - so on balance, this isn't the worst way to handle it.

(best way would be to treat custom widebody/stock versions the same as hard top/convertible versions of things like the Rapid GT and 9F: two different variants, EXACTLY THE SAME CUSTOM OPTIONS FOR BOTH :turn:)
