So after finding out that you can edit the game's animations, this was my first idea. It turned out to be incredibly easy but time-consuming.

And I did it.

Facial anims, walking, running, stopping, standing and sprinting are all fixed, I don't think I could fix anything else without breaking all other peds' animations.

2.0 changelog:

Fixed characters changing height depending on move state.

Added get up and jump animations, no idea how to actually use them yet, since replacing would break normal peds.

Added support for TBOGT and TLAD cutscene models.

Added new walkstyle for TLAD models to make them not float above ground.

Does this mean we can use cutscene anims during normal play?

I could probably do that as well, but this is much simpler than that. It just lets you use cutscene characters in normal game, without their torsos rotating 90 degrees by adding a new "cutscenes" walkstyle that has their torsos rotated back in every animation.

OpenIV can export them to .onim which is actually just a bunch of text files with the bone positions, I'm pretty sure you can edit that using 3DS Max, but I just used Notepad++ because I didn't need to see what I was doing.

Genius. I remember the cutscene actors being broken ingame. It's cool you can actually play as them if you want!

I'd also upload this to GTAGarage for safe keeping. Old, misc mods like this tend to get buried deep in the old pages of the internet.
