You know what I noticed when I played through GTA SA on the PS4 earlier this year? Most of the clothes in the game are f*cking terrible.

Very few clothes look decent. GTA IV might have less, but atleast nothing looks stupid on Niko. Oh and as I said above it doesn’t take him 500 years to change a shirt like CJ.

You can do a drive-by shooting in 360 now rather than just looking left and right and shooting, which was treacherous

Dider Sachs or whatever the Perseaus equivalent is in SA was such a disappointment. Tweed bullsh*t and green suits, just awful. In IV none of the clothes are goofy looking, it's enough to go through the story and change outfits every day.

The controls. I wish I could change them in SA, maybe then I'd be able to play the game like a competent human.

The fanboyism is strong with this thread, but here's my go:

  • moral decisions
  • better storyline
  • Liberty City feels way more detailed than Los Santos, San Fierro or Las Venturas
  • DLC
  • believable characters
  • different approaches to missions
  • oh and the missions - I wouldn't say they are 100% better than the ones from San Andreas, but they surely do a great job at entertaining you without being too over the top
  • friends and girlfriends system
  • side missions that actually have some storyline (any side character from GTA IV > quarry and valet missions from SA)
  • immersive surroundings - hell, GTA IV was the only GTA in which acting like a normal citizen felt satisfying to me

Niko doesn't need to eat to stay alive and get fat. I always thought this was a dumb and pointless gimmick in San Andreas.

Oh look CJ can get fat lolz. So cool.

It should be kept simple as an alternative to gaining health. That's it. If I wanted this Sims like bullsh*t I'd play The Sims.

Some more..

-Interiors make physical proportional sense to their exteriors. In San Andreas it used to make me cringe going into one of the random safehouses and finding out they were in no way proportional to their exteriors. Even GTA III and Vice City done a much better job. It's another one of those things where quality trumps quantity.

-No need for Hollywood star power to make the characters memorable. Since GTA IV has the best characters in the series its writing stands on its own.

-No pointless underwater diving ocean adventures. Swimming is all that's needed.
