I'm reffering to every mission and side mission until Roman's Sorrow ,do you think it's too slow or uninteresting ?I like the first missions but they've become stale for me it could be because I always restart the game whenever I f*ck up the timeline between EFLC and IV ,tho.

I think it was one of the best parts of the story.

Yeah maybe replaying something too often makes anything lose it's charm,I still think it's great, though.

I really liked it. Yes it is very hand holdy, seing as every mission is basicly a tutorial, but I liked the depressing hovebeach, it felt the depressing down on luck story pefectly.

It was a slow build-up which I liked, it made sense Niko getting used to life in Liberty while starting on the bottom of the crime ladder.

Whilst indeed it's a slow burn I couldn't imagine it any other way. I love how most of the missions still serve as story pieces yet slowly introduce gameplay mechanics without being overly forceful about it. Even after all these years it still feels like I'm a fresh, off the boat immigrant everytime I start a new game.

Personally it's my favourite part of the story with some of the most memorable moments like Niko's revelation to Roman after killing Vlad what brought him to Liberty City. Mission wise I can understand how some people may find the start boring as you're mostly just doing errands for Roman, but they gradually wind up in intensity with each strand as most side missions are also introduced.

It was cool, the immersive sensation this new universe gives you, where everything is as realistic as it can be.

They could hit me with a mission where you walk in the park and I would not complain.

I hate when stories rush so fast that you don't grow to care about anything. One thing I love about Studio Ghibli movies is they often stop to let you breathe, and I think that's what the beginning of IV does. You get to know the relationship of Niko and Roman, see his disappointment of America slowly set in, and establish how crime ridden and sick Liberty City is.

I found it pretty boring. One half is tutorials, the other half is playing cab driver. In my opinion the game only starts getting interesting once Algonquin opens up and more interesting characters get introduced.

It's a bit boring now but in 2008 it was brand new, exciting and so life like.
If you play IV quite repetitively it's quite boring but have a few weeks rest and come back. It's still magic on a disc.
