Two brits, two rockers. Which one is the coolest ?

I was going for McCartney until I remembered the album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. EJ just rocks way harder. Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting, Your Sister Can't Twist (But She Can Rock'n'Roll), All The Girls Love Alice.

I'll have to go with Elton John.

Your pick ?

Ive always been an Elton man. Paul McCartney is great and I do like The Beatles but I love Elton Johns voice and lyrical themes. Plus, he seems to be able to shred on a piano and Ive not known anyone to do that since Liberace or Ethel Smith.

They both suck, lol. JK, I'm not a fan of either one, but their music is respectable. I'll go with Elton, cuz Street Kids and Saturday Night's... are p dope. Also, Lennon vs Elton feels more appropiate.

If it was, that makes my choice easier - John Lennon was a wife beating, abusive hypocrite.

If your wife was called Yoko Ono I won't blame you if you beat the sh*t out of her.. Lol. I'd never lay hands on a woman that way, but Yoko is fair game.

Also I was hoping it wouldn't come to that but, let's not talk about Lennon. The guy was hippie trash and so was his music. Imagine is probably the worst song ever. Guy thought he was such a big deal that it took 6 rounds of a .36 special to calm him down, and unlike the son of god, he didn't come back to life. Guess he was wrong about that whole "bigger than Jesus" deal after all.

I guess I'll go with Paul McCartney. I love his solo music and music with The Beatles so much while I don't know that much about Elton, so.. it's an easy choice for me.

McCartney.

Not a big fan of either. However,  McCartney's depth speaks to me way more than the flamboyance of John.

Plus, McCartney for the win just based on this... John Bonham of Zeppelin sitting on this track.

It wasn't Yoko that he was physically abusive towards though. He did an interview in Playboy talking about how he was a hitter as a youth, which would've been before meeting Yoko, plus he got in scraps with other guys very frequently as a youngster as well, he considered himself a violent man who learned through time to not be violent anymore. He was emotionally abusive to his and Yoko's son Julian however, I believe he even wrote the lad out of his will before he was murdered. I still like a lot of his music, but he's been quite overrated by the media and more so for his social stances than his musical ability.
