I was wondering if buying a boat (currently looking at Speeder) is worth buying or if buying any boat has an benefit which may help in a mission?

Not really, but if you like cruising around on the sea (which I do once in a while) I would get a speedboat like the Toro or Speeder..

Not really seeing as water isn't utilised that much in the game.

If you own a Dinghy you can spawn it through CEO's menu. It's useful in difficult situations.

Yeah a Dinghi and/or a Seashark is all you need, all other boats are just nice to have.

at the moment, no. But when/if we get a watercraft dlc and we get to store/customize new/old watercraft then I would def say yes.

This. Dinghy is the only useful one because of the free insta-spawn CEO option, but it's far from essential.

Water is that wavy monster that wrecks cars when driven into it correct?

Just call MW for a boat pickup if you ever end up far away from land, they'll pick you up and drop you off at land.

It will spawn close to you like any other CEO vehicle, but you must be in the water.

If you crash in the ocean, you can spawn the Dinghy near you.  But if you crash your CEO Buzzard in the ocean, you will have a two-minute cooldown before you can spawn another CEO vehicle.  By that time, it is probably easier to just swim to shore and spawn another Buzzard instead.

You can MW for a boat pickup which takes about 15 sec to arive derp.

I own every boat.

I use zero boats.

If you must get one, I'd recommend the Jetmax. Great acceleration and top speed, plus it's a cigarette boat

Enh, sometimes its fun to do things the hard way. I bought a Seashark years back and there have definitely been a few times I was glad I had it available. Nothing essential but for how cheap they are I figure you might as well just pick one up.

Only useful sea vehicle I have is a Kraken, great tool to escape bounty hunters.

Otherwise, I think I only got my Marquis to spawn to go cruising around.

Even if you own a boat - its still faster and easier to just call MW for 250$

Why not "smuggler" from GTA4 rockstar? Or a the jet powered jetmax from GTS:SA. I do still love my jetmax and speeder though.

Buy a Suntrap. It's super f*cking cheap. One round of HH will pay for it.
It's not all glamorous like the Toro or Jetmax, but you'll never use it anyway. It will just light up the icon for it under your stats.
The APC isn't classified as a boat, but it's the best one in the game.
