Hello everyone. I introduce myself, this is my first post in this forum, so I will try to explain several things. I have been working with the mods for a long time in GTA San Andreas, but for two years I started with a project which I am introducing to you, which is still in progress.
This project is quite special for me since, in addition to the taste for history, I am a historical re-creator of the Second World War, and therefore I dedicate myself to investigate everything as much as possible (ie from the German and Soviet uniform of 1945, equipment, weapons, vehicles, units, scenarios, etc.) so that the project is as realistic as possible (although historical errors may exist, nothing can be 100% accurate, but we try to be as precise as possible)

"GTA SA WW2 - BERLIN 1945" (project 2013-2017, still in progress, does not cancel, but has this story):
2013: In the middle of this year, the project began to be modified by the map of Los Santos, or rather, by adding destroyed buildings (most of them from San Fierro ...) to the areas of Groove and surroundings to the neighborhood Big Smoke (to the west) and Jefferson (to the north), although this project is still on hold since it not only modified the map, but also mixed with the story mode of the same GTA San Andreas (modifying some objects and characters in the short films) giving in itself the sides:
-Ballas: Soviets
-Groove: Germans
-Vagos: American-British
-Cesar Band: Japanese (or, in its absence, Italians or voluntary units WH / SS)
- Police: Soviets (from the front led by "Tenpenny")
Already with these data, I clarify that was called at first this project "GTA SA WW2 Deutsche Stories"
 
although this was quite complicated as it would also have to include changes from GTA3.IMG, CUTS.IMG, and also included a modified PED.IFP, not to mention changes in textures of streets and objects such as the massive addition of vehicle modifications, weapons and characters / people.
 
Here we come to the new:
2017: It began in itself in 2015 (November-December), as part of the scenario for a Machinima, it was good idea to completely modify said map (based on the downloadable map "The Last of Us", taking part of his idea of the city placed to the south of the beach of Los Santos, and modifying its map a little). Said Machinima is still in process (titled "") and supposes that part of the maps to be mentioned next along with everything that would include the complete mod of Berlin 1945 (Ver. 2016) or also called " 1945 "Welt im Krieg" (World at War, reference to the famous game Call of Duty 5 "World at War"), it is also worth mentioning that it will take a good time, maybe some months, since I work alone in the project, I also have some assistants (ie friends and contacts) who give me a hand / help with the project
 
the "BERLIN 1945 'Welt im Krieg' (Ver. 2017)" would include:
 
1) Pack of soldiers:
    - Soviet
    - Wehrmacht (ground troops and possibly Luftwaffe)
    - Waffen SS
    - SS Honorguards (mainly surrounding the Reichtag)
    - Volkssturm (yes, a pack of German militia will be included, maybe some Hitlerjugend will be included along the way)
    - Civilians

2) Vehicle Pack:
    - Germans (tanks, transport vehicles, airplanes)
    - Soviets (tanks, transport vehicles, airplanes)

3) Pack of Weapons:
    - Germany (mainly: Kar98, MP40, STG44, G43, G41, FG42, MP28, MP41, Panzerfaust, flamethrower, P08 Luger, P38, M24 Garnet)
    - Soviet (mainly: PPSh41, PTRS41, Mosin Nagant, DP28, TT33, Granada F1)

4) Different Maps:
    a) Train stations and part of Berlin (this includes two train stations)
 
    b) River area (where the river that divides Berlin, with several bridges, includes another section of Berlin buildings)
 
    c) Pankow; WaW style; (WaW for CoD 5, since Pankow, apart from a neighborhood on the outskirts of Berlin, is where the Soviets enter Berlin in CoD 5, so I would try to imitate that area)
 
    d) Flughafen Tempelhof (?) (It is not yet known if this part will be done, Tempelhof Airport, which would occupy almost all the map edited, so I do not know if I would do it, although looking good occupies TOO much more place than that of edited , so it would be half discarded)
 
    e) Seelow Heights (?) (yes, the countryside, I do not know if I can do it too, since apart from being a little bigger also as it is complicated by the grounds)
    
    f) Reichstag (?) (both on the first and second map the structure is included, but in this case it would be like to make the style "Heart of the Reich" (from the avenue to where the Reichstag is, and I mention that would be used modified objects, bone, change the .DFF / .TXD and even the .COL of the building so that it can be entered to this, pity that I do not have the Reichtag model of the CoD 5 to do, but ...., also remains in "it is not known if it will be done")
 
    g) FlakTower (the famous German anti-aircraft towers, are also prepared to appear in this project)
 
    h) Berlin Streets (this map differs from the others since in its great majority its objects are added and not replaced, that is to say, all created in 3DS Max such as buildings, streets, etc.)

5) DYOM missions
    will include totally random packs of missions, differentiating difficulties, objectives, flocks, among other things.
    These missions include the following project types for each one (each mission folder will include the mission and a readme / read me where it indicates the description of the mission and the map to be used in each one that not all the maps are the same) also, these same would be the first pack of missions, since a total of 3 or 4 packs of missions for the project Berlin 1945 (ver. 2017), these are the first ones:
 
    a) Training (Volkssturm): you are a soldier of the Volkssturm, along with several Berlin civilians will have a basic training of the Volkssturm, which would basically use a rifle (kar98), pistol (P38) and rocket launcher (Panzerfaust ) (possibly adding to the Iron Front or CoD 2 some combat by appearance of enemies in the zone).
 
    b) Training (Wehrmacht): unlike the previous one, in this case you are a German soldier, beginning his training in a training camp in Seelow before the Soviet invasion to the area of ​​Seelow Heights, a training (kar98), assault rifle (stg44), grenades, precision rifle (kar98 or g43, with telescopic sight), machine gun ( mg42) and rocket launchers (panzerschreck).
 
    c) Reconnaissance Patrol (Wehrmacht): With a group of German soldiers going from the train station to a factory where there are the presence of nearby enemies.
 
    d) Advance Pankow (Red Army): You will be part of the Soviet offensive, you will disembark from a train car to the vicinity of the main avenue eliminating any resistance that crosses you.
 
    e) Carrying the Mail (Wehrmacht): In this mission you are a Wehrmacht motorcyclist who from your command post will have to cross the river to the outpost of your comrades to deliver the new orders. Along the way you will encounter enemy forces so be careful. You're carrying an escort.
 
    f) Saboteur of Bridges (Red Army): You must place explosives in two bridges to delay the german advance that pushes strongly in retreat to the Red Army.
 
    g) Good Neighbor (Volkssturm): Protect your family and neighbors before they are riddled by Soviet troops entering the building. After eliminating the Soviet troops join your comrades of the Volkssturm to fight in a resistance in the street, when you finish returns to your home to verify that everything is well.
 
    h) Countryside Massacre (Waffen SS): In the rain outside Berlin, in the countryside, you are fighting the Soviets. He calls on the artillery to "soften" the ground to force the Soviet retreat. By doing so, several Soviets will be surrendering or wounding, here you decide, or you let them live or eliminate them. Advance to the point indicated with your comrades and protect the point indicated until there are no more enemy forces, then you will have a well deserved rest.
 
    i) Resisting the Bombardements (Wehrmacht): Maintain the position, the enemy approaches you while the Soviets bombard the area, your officer will give you the order and you will go with a comrade to an antiaircraft gun on a roof so you can shoot down the bombers , when you finish, you will return with your platoon.
 
    j) My Honor is Loyalty (SS Honorguard): You are an honor guard of the SS, defend until your ammunition runs out, to the last drop of blood by the Führer.
 
    k) Panzer Jäger (Wehrmacht-PanzerDivision): Berlin is not only targeted by ground troops, but also Soviet heavy armored vehicles as well. With your Jagdtiger, hide in good positions and wait for an enemy armor to cross (REMEMBER: Unless the Jagdtiger's model does not move its barrel horizontally, you'll have to keep looking forward so there is no problem with the mission and the tank).
 
    l) Vampire der Nacht (Waffen SS): It is Night, not much is seen by the darkness, hardly the waves of the river and the shots in the distance or some airplane that passes by the area. You and two other comrades watch from an apartment floor one of the sections of the bridge, they have to prevent the enemy from advancing. A comrade will put an explosive in the way, when the Soviet tanks advance with the infantry you will have to destroy it. In doing so, one of your comrades who waits on the ground floor will begin to create a barricade so that the Soviets can not pass and thus have them at bay.
 
 m) Cover the retreat (Wehrmacht): There are civilians trying to escape from the war zone, your mission is to cover the retreat of these as they cross one street to another, as the Soviets have appeared (this mission could basically be based on the scene of the Fall when at night they see civilians running and SS troops firing at the Russians and while a group of the Volkssturm appears).
 
    n) Room by Room (Red Army): They are already closer to the Reichstag, but resistances must be eliminated, and this means entering all the buildings clearing rooms and rooms, soldiers or civilians.
 
    o) Scharfschutze (Wehrmacht): You are a Wehrmacht sniper, your duty is to keep the Soviets at bay while you give support to your comrades who are retreating from the area.
 
    p) Between the Flames (Waffen SS): The Pankow area is being heavily bombed by katyusha rockets and Russian incendiary bombs. This is why you have taken refuge in a building that has begun to burn, but there are enemy troops inside as well. Fight until leaving the building that is consumed by the fire and meet with the survivors of the platoon.
 
    q) Eye of the Panther (Waffen SS Panzer-Division): It's time to defend what's left of the Seelow site, along with an armored division to cover your retreating comrades and keep the Soviet tanks and enemy infantry at bay.
 
    r) Street ambush (Red Army): A German convoy heads for a post passing a street, before they cross explosives to destroy their front vehicle. In doing this, they will stop and try to defend themselves, shoot them with your comrades.
 
    s) Angriff !!! (Wehrmacht): You are resting in your position, next to several of your comrades, when suddenly the enemy is heard and the only option is to leave to defend your position until the enemy withdraws.
    
    t) Das Ende (Wehrmacht); And here it is, the end. In this mission you will start fighting a small group of enemies, after this you will move to another position but in that appear your other comrades giving you the news that Germany surrenders, then they will guide you to a place with all soldiers and officials, of all the forces, already surrendered waiting for the Soviets, the mission ends up leaving your weapon on a desk, giving up completely to not suffer more fighting

6) Sounds (?) (This is not yet clear whether it will be done or not):
    it was thought to change some sounds (but it is possible the redundancy that can be done by oneself like the other mods but it is to give it more realism), perhaps in the final version it clarifies it
    planned: add Soviet and German songs, or maybe in the missions add some effect or something to be heard soundtracks

Hmm... seems interesting, but place it mess in sa state looks weird.

Better use some other map. Maybe custom one?

Thanks, I missed that.

I know it's been said before but using SA map objects for a mod set in ww2-era Europe is really offputting, like those mods that're like GTA SA INDONESIA or whatever and it's just the same map but with different textures. Making or porting a new map would be a lot more work than rearranging SA stuff but the end result would be very well worth it imo

My mind gets just bizzare when u recall that a german invasion into the USA...
