I just use them in the missions. I think this might be what you're looking for though: http://gtaforums.com...entry1069815570

But the savage has infinite missiles and cannons. The Hunter actually loses its ammo as you can see the missiles disappearing from their pods. All other weaponised vehicles such as Ruiner 2000, Tampa and Oppressor, have the same feature of limited ammo count.

They're not limited on the mission version. They respawn on it.

I kind of doubt they'll be limited on the version we own. You'd run out way too quickly. If they are though, then that would be a massive downside. But I don't think they will be.

That also reminds me, I think it's a very nice detail that they go. Looks great in editor videos.
Sorry to say, but if their is any hint of the ammo being limited, then this will be the case for the freeroam pv version.

Went up against a Hunter in my Hydra yesterday. After shooting down 4 other people in a row, I saw an odd icon on my map and flew over to destroy it. I blasted it a couple of times with my cannon before realizing what I had shot at. Surprisingly it did not go down. As I whizzed past it it blasted me with missiles and I gained a profound respect for it as my wreckage hurtled towards the ground.

I think I managed to damage it enough so that the pilot ended up having to land, but he stayed in the sky for a good few minutes after engaging me.

Yes

It also has barrage missiles, which the Savage does not.

Well, I love the Savage, but I can't deny that the Hunter looks sweet. Not to even mention that the Hunter will be the superior of the two.

Do the homing missiles not work on the mission version? I couldn't get them to lock on to anything.

That missile Barrage is like a giant flying explosive shotgun. Pretty fun even though I'm not particularly good at blind firing missiles.

It seems to be able to take six missiles before it catches on fire, and 8 in a row before it explodes.

Homing-On is just disabled versus relay-antennas(the mission objectives). I was able to lock peoples, NPC, players. Mostly aircrafts and cars, haven't tried to lock pedestrians.

The Hunter model looks just well, unfinished compared to the Savage.  The Hunter just looks weird to me.

Anyone else see that?

Yes me too! It looks too long for it's wide, but it's fun to fly and has powerful guns/missiles so I'll buy one when it's available (around new year)

Hunter, why? infinite missiles, barrage missiles, it's also more agile than the savage feels like flying the maverick or frogger, you can evade the HL easily with the special move i called swerve and whip

It feels sort of overly large and clunky to me.

I do love the front though.. it's mainly the rear half that grinds my gears just slightly lol

Honestly I keep trying it but I find its not as maneuverable as the savage it doesn't respond well at all to R1 and L1 unlike savage and buzzard they spin on a pin head

I think it's the tail rotor. It kind of blocks your view of the engines and wing tips, which are one of the most prominent features of the Apache.

In the editor without that tail in your face, you can see its Apache features more and it looks better in my opinion.

My heart have been moved today:

First, the splash on the Barrage missiles is horrible small it seems:

https://youtu.be/ThKHvHHQN1I

But... I killed a fu**ing Hydra with it, teach him to come after my cargo, he left afterwards :D :

https://youtu.be/zkgPKTYOrVg

I'm definitely buying a Hunter when it's released.

I think it's more just getting used to where the missiles are going to land. We don't get a lot of time with the Hunter, so it's hard to really get a good feel for it.

I think it's pretty good anyway.

That jet kill is really nice though. It looks like you got him with a homing missile, then got him again with the barrage. Very sexual.

I haven't had a ton of time with it but based on what I have managed to get in, the Hunter feels better suited to attacks where you come in fast with a barrage or two on your way in, then maneuver to get above the enemy and go to work with your bomb load while keeping yourself in their vertical firing deadzone as much as possible. I find the handling stiff, especially when it comes to rudder rotation, and trying to orbit the opponent like I do in a Buzzard or Savage is awkward and difficult.

Not a bad chopper by any means, quite effective in fact, but definitely something new to get the hang of. I can only imagine how much better it can get with a competent gunner to rely on...

Ironically the Mi-28 (Savage) has fixed gear and the Comanche had retractable (for RCS)

I prefer the hunter, already flown on missions and it's very stable and can fire multiple missiles, also is from the 3D era, something very nostalgic.

You found it stable?

I find the savage or the buzzards more stable than the hunter

I literally have no idea what you people are talking about. I have had no difficulties flying the Hunter.

You have to be playing a different game than me.

The Savage is slow and heavy to move. The Hunter is much faster and easier.

Could it be platform related because it's certainly not as stable in my game, and there must be some truth in it as many people have said the same, we do appear to be getting conflicting reports although those that do like seem to be the majority

I think he means that it's harder to aim. Hunter is certainly easier to maneuver, but harder to aim. As long as you don't touch anything, the Savage is very stable and easy to aim, but a bit slow to actually turn around. Hunter is the opposite, easy to turn, but due to the some variables it's less stable. Is has recoil, first and foremost, but also it has this weird habbit to turn back when you use the R1/L1 (or platform equivalent) to turn it  slightly.

Cannot turn it fast on PS4 R1 L1 seem to fight each other although you apply only one at a time the only way to turn it on my PS4 is the 360 jog/style steering type button and it aint fast, Using savage or any other Helo i press R1 or L1 and they spin on a pin head very fast Hunter doesnt

Im beginning to think its maybe bugged or something
