Molotok and the Hunter.

Molotok for its missile fire rate and the Hunter for being a more powerful and capable combat helicopter than the Buzzard.

Up to you. In my opinion there is only two at the moment: Ultralight and the Retinue (Escort). Skip the rest, though some of the unreleased vehicles are worth getting, but only when they will be discounted.

Think of the hangar as a collector's dream and an opportunity to store, peruse and generally admire airplanes and helicopters. If you've already got a healthy stock of Pegasus vehicles, it's a real boon being able to store them, look at them, and call them up as personal vehicles. I thoroughly recommend it.

But don't purchase aircraft as 'must buy' items. They're not really. Can a WWII bomber or fighter seriously out manoeuvre a modern day equivalent? I think not, but if you're into collecting and admiring these things (and have a serious bank balance) then go for it.

The Hunter, however, could be a serious game changer, but it hasn't been released yet.

And the Molotok for being pure sex.

Do the bombs of the Roque differ from the ones of the other planes?

Apart from what others have said....the rogue is my favorite so far. Explosive cannons (slower fire rate than the ones on hydra/lazer but still effective), bomb bay, countermeasures, homing rockets, turns tighter than the hydra and its fast. Yea it's interesting to fly and takes some getting used to. But I've had a blast using it. I've won dogfights against hydras because of its tighter turn and its slightly harder to hit even against hydra explosive cannons due to how well it maneuvers. I've yet to be shot down by an explosive sniper (also a lot of missed shots due to its amazing maneuvers) and the flare countermeasures pretty much eliminates any ground homing rocket threats. I've killed with its cannons, rockets, and bombs way more than I've been shot down and it's fun as hell. Just my opinion.

The Hydra is trash, the laser is the true king of FM, but right now its gonna be interesting to see how the new rogue  fairs against it.. all the other new planes are garbage for dogfighting with the laser.

Rogues have terrible TWR and weak cannons so they lose in vertical fights or head-on passes.  But they do have the advantage if you're forced into a turning fight in the horizontal, or if third parties are shooting homing missiles at both of you.

Most battles aren't a proper merge anyway so it's largely irrelevant, the Rogue is far superior in agility, and the cannons are not weak unless you're trash af like most bum pilots on the game and can't aim them.

With or without flares, most jets can easily avoid homers anyway so that's a moot point.

The king of the sky is actually looking like it's between the Rogue/Laser rn. I think if they centre the cannons more on the rogue it would easily become the new king, but as of right now the aim is trickier than the standard Laser and therefore requires more ability, but that's slightly offset by the maneuverability of the Rogue.

All in all I like the new jets, they'll take some adjusting to, but they've given us some good diversity at last instead of the trash af noob mobiles like the Hydra to make non-skilled scrubs feel special.

It's like I said to someone else... Not only do we get a superb dogfighting plane that can really stick it to the Laser, but we also get the ability to drop a big ass carpet bombs on peoples heads which is so satisfying, especially on car meets.

Yup, pretty much anyone saying the rogue sucks either A) hasn't gotten used to how to fly it or
B) is a novice pilot that doesn't have the ability to actually AIM the cannons, they just rely on the fast fire rate and "spray around the white dot and I'll probably get the kill" of the hydra/lazer.

I'd say the Molotok should be one of your first choices. That being said, none of the aircraft in this update are a "must buy" if you already own a Buzzard/Hydra/Savage. These three can easily take care of everything the new aircraft can do and more.

Bought the MIG yesterday, I love the handling. Even a terrible pilot like me can fly it with ease ;-). Nice Russian masterpiece.

Right now I'm looking forward to the Nokota. Perfect for dog fights.

I'm a little bit disappointed in the Hunter, not that special. Can't replace the Buzzard or Savage. Will still buy it because as helicopter fan it's nice to have an Apache in the hangar though.

So this 'll be my ultimate list:

- Nokota

- Molotok

- Rogue

- Hunter

The rest is optional.

Ne likes the Hunter and the Nokota. If you already got the Buzzard you can skip the Havok - it has just that single gun aiming forward and aiming is kinda hard due to its handling.

Had a sourcing run using the Hunter + one friend in the gunner Spot - was great actually. I love the Hunters armour and the barrage missile mode ;)

For the Nokota: the overall design is great :) some Spitfire and most Mustang - also it's the only aircraft featuring kinda realistic flaps(!). The other aircraft use them as spoilers (WHY oh R*?!)

Why all the praise for the Hunter? Just as the Molotok is made worthless by the Hydra and Lazer, I think the Hunter fails to top the Savage. The Savage has accurate explosive rounds and better maneuverability. The sourcing mission in which you have to destroy signal jammers with the Hunter is really difficult. I mean, the missle barage is difficult to control and each missle has a small blast radius. I can hit right next to a jammer and still not lay a scratch on it. But when I do the same mission with a Savage it's just so much easier.

The Rogue is just as fun as it is disapointing. The explosive rounds have a slow rate of fire which makes it difficult to hit ground targets. The bombing also takes a little getting used to. With the short render distance, I can barely tell if I'm hitting anything. Bombing is also easily topped by a Jet or Savage's ability to wipe the floor with explosive rounds. Overall though, it's the best plane for lone players as the pilot can control bombs, flares and weapons. The extra seat also means you can give people lifts. The handling is... alright.

The Tula is expensive but a load of fun. Bombing is made easy with the VTOL functionality but it's only good against AI targets as any player with a rocket launcher will shoot you down if you dare hover above them. Defo worth the price if you wanna have fun but I wouldn't expect much use out of it against other players.

Honestly, the only new aircraft I think is worth buying is gonna be the Nokota. It handles great in the sourcing missions. Like the Tula though, it probably won't be very good at PvP since the Hydra is pretty much king of the sky but it will make for a pretty fun toy.

The Havok might be my favourite vehicle from this DLC so far after messing around with it... Dominates any other heli in dogfights, and super maneuverable , plus a fast little thing around the city.

Hefty price tag, but worth it if you're actually a solid pilot.

I bought the Havok and the Z1 at the same time. Flew the Z1 first and loved it. Flew the Havok next and haven't flown anything else since. I have no problem landing it, either my PV or the CEO version. They kind of land with a jolt, I can't make it soft, but I land it every time. You can put it anywhere, and just hover around alleyways and stuff like some kind of hovermobile. It's the greatest thing for sight seeing. The controls allow very fine corrections, probably why most people can't land it lol.

100%

I don't know the level of your ability in helis and stuff, but I was one of the best IV pilots and transferred over, so I've always love to dogfight in helis, and the Havok is a beast in dogfights.

The only thing it could do with is the same cannon as the buzzard, and I'd take it over the buzzard every time, but even with it's current cannon it's still great for shredding through helis.

Without flares, you won't hit the heli anyway in a dogfight, auto-rockets are useless for dogfights, but the fact that it has flares means that you're covered for that "just in case sneak attack" auto rocket move by pussies ya know? then you can flip it around and engage them.

The Rogue is just as fun as it is disapointing. .....

........The handling is... alright.

Then the Hydra's handling must be that of an Airbus. I am much more for the Lazer/Rogue than the Hydra.

My 2nd big fight I got in with the "tricky" Rogue. It has enormous air fighting potential. I decided the times it has killed me is because I wasn't worthy to fly it XD. Hydras, Molotoks, Lazers in this one. The handling is race and the challenge isn't getting behind your opponent...it's being able to line them up using race handling(took a while to disable my first plane, also because everyone was spamming me with lock-ons), which to me makes it turn like it's on rails.....when you are good enough to execute it.(Sometimes?)

I only had cannons and bombs bought at this point. Saw an MC at the base and decided to have some fun in my new plane. This was about 5 minutes in. My little show at the end let a tank line his sights on me.

I'll upload another one with a 1vs1 Hydra soon. I definitely agree that this plane wants to kill you at first with its' awkward handling. The pull up on the stick thing you do with jets will put you in the ground every time. This plane is all about the rudder.

None at this point...the hydra dominates and when I say dominates, I mean anyone who knows how to turn the hydra will basically make the rogue look like a small gnat. The havok doesnt have missiles and cant land with ease. The lazer appears to be the only truely usesful vehicle, but I will reserve judgment on the Hunter until the actual pv release. I was unimpressed with mission version.

I just want to say, all the vehicles are fun. I even beat a hydra with a western seabreeze. Cause most players barely know how to strafe the ground.

If you liked the Valkyrie griefing sessions, you will LOVE the Hunter. The missiles of it aren't that of a threat. A skilled gunner however (and since the Bombushka Adversary Mode they will have a bit of PvP practice) will have a field day with its cannon.

I will buy it. Also, the Nokota.

I'd enjoy watching a video clip of that. IME, the Lazer has always been my preferred choice over the Hydra. I can turn really tight in the Hydra, but to get as tight as the Lazer, it seems you will lose speed, and if anyone is sending a missle your way while doing so, it seems to catch you before you can gain enough speed to shake it off/turn/etc. Plus, the Lazer has always felt more nimble to me.

Many agree about the Rogue being a competent fighter.

https://www.reddit.c..._best_value_to/

If I'm doing missions, wanting to strafe - I'll take the Hydra.

If I want to strafe a MKII explosive sniper and go vertical+worry about dogfights, I'll take the Lazer.

I have been having fun in the Rogue and look forward to getting more planes. I feel like the learning curve in mastering it is steeper than other aircraft for sure. It's definitely not "friendly" like the jets, which is part of the fun.

Not knocking the Hydra, mind you - been in plenty of dogfights with it.(Yes, those two were pretty bad - worse than me even! At that time I didn't know to go full throttle and was still treating it like a Lazer)

So, for a lot of ppl it will be expensive to buy all the new airplanes/helicopters. I'd like to hear your experiences so far:

1) which air vehicles do you really like and recommend to prioritize buying?

2) which air vehicles are a disappointment, you regret buying

(of course best is to test them all by doing the missions, but for ppl like me it's hard to keep my purse closed that long :-p)

Assuming you don't already have the no-brainer like the Buzzard, Hydra, Cargobob and Savage i'd say get the Buzzard first. It'll come in handy in all kinds of missions. But for the new SR aircrafts i'd say get the ones you can have the most fun with as they are not as useful as the ones i mentioned above. But for the SR's ones i got..

1. The Tula cause it has VTOL, JATO, countermeasures(eventhough the co-pilot has to operate it) and it can land on water.. tons of fun

2. The Molotok cause it's a classic Mig fighter looking plane and it has countermeasures and spammable rockets(only if you have cash to spare cause the Hydra still is better)

3. The Ultralight cause.. if you don't want one what is wrong with you?

4. The Rogue cause it's a mean dogfighting, bomb-dropping, flare shooting, explosive mg spewing lightning speed machine

5. The Hunter(when it comes out) cause.. if you don't want one what is wrong with you? LOL

6. The Havok cause.. landing it safely is another whole mini mission all on its own(ok i admit i got it cause its small and cute!)

That's what i got for now.. not sure bout the Bombushka cause it would only be fun with friends but useless solo. As for the infamous Lazer.. I'm still torn(probably not gonna get it coz it's so much easier to steal now). The rest of the dripfeed ones i'd probably get them only at a discount rate.. that's my two cents.

I agree with this, in terms of need.  I would add either version of Cargobob if you want to Import/Export.

For fun aircraft in the update I have to recommend the Tula.  It can go anywhere and has some nice livery options.  Bombs, pilot-gun, passenger turret (upgradable), JATO option, countermeasures-optional.  It's pricey, but nice plane to fly around in (probably in Passive Mode)

For a relatively low price, the Ultralight offers the completely unique ability to be off-radar for indefinite periods of time. Depending on the type of player you are, this information can range from "barely worth considering" to "absolutely revolutionary" in terms of potential usefulness.

Having tried it in the supply mission I have to agree. It handles far, far worse than the Buzzard. It just feels really spongy and not really responsive.

Ultralight is the only definite choice. I'll have to wait and see if the Hunter's armor is as good as the mission Hunter's first. INB4 it goes down in two explosives instead of 12..... please take a lot of hits!

The Ultralight's offradar ability is fantastic. Especially for how cheap the thing is. They really need to implant that ability in more vehicles, it'll be easier sneaking up on griefers cause unlike Off Radar and Ghosting the game doesn't sell you out for doing so.
