Some of these liveries will rock with a chrome paint, matching old bombers... Might be my first chrome paint job ever.

Chrome + Livery looks pretty ugly unfortunately

The upgraded explosive cannon on this thing is naughty. 

 

At least twice the power as the Valkyrie's cannon and a huge 500 metre range. This literally means you'll be out of firing distance from anything with lock-on that's fired from the ground. The main problem will be the explosive sniper rounds.

Ooh that's pretty great! How much damage can it soak up? I hope it's like the MoC; that would let it stand a chance against jets/choppers that use the explosive cannons.

No idea, the explosive resistance of vehicles in single player is different to that in Online. 

 

Besides, because I'm not getting the proper camera for aiming, the only cannon that worked when I had two Trevor's in the cockpit was the front one, and that would only shoot upwards into the sky rather than down (because of me doing it in GTA V and thus lacking the proper camera I'd get if I was Online).

I wonder if the engine upgrades will do anything about the speed of this air tank. I really hope so. And i also hope somehow rockstar manages to find a way to let us walk around in the plane freely

Not really, if anything they'll add 5mph to the top speed but this is one aircraft you may as well fly around with the gear down because of this value in the handling file: <fGearDownDragV value="0.000000" />

 

Actually, I had the aircraft with gear down at 75mph (using Menyoo in single player) on a bank angle of probably around 20 degrees, and I was completely off the controls and all the aircraft was doing was circling around, maintaining that altitude and speed. May as well be an AC-130 with that sort of setup! 

And yeah, this is another bomber aircraft.

I mean you can scramble Fighters but a single one or two are gonna get shredded by the Explosive Cannons.

If it has MOC cannons then even worse, you could circle the skies above LS and just snipe everyone.

I don't see it being too much of a problem - you'd go against this with the Heavy Sniper rifle Mk.2 with explosive rounds, not with another aircraft.

Guess it depends what kind of angles the cannons can aim at. Can they aim straight up?

 

I'm thinking another aircraft could attack from above.

 

There's got to be some blind spot anyway.

 

Edit: Hold on, how are we even going to see people from 500m away? Does it have some extreme zoom camera or something?

I'm sorry to crush someone's dreams now...

 

STOCK: 
3 Homings. First homing stalls two of the four engines, second stalls all engines, third blows it up. 

4-5 bullets from the Explosive Sniper.

 

UPGRADED:

Literally the same as the Stock one. Armor does NO difference. Maybe less deformation? idk. But it'll allow the Bombushka to take around one more round from the Railgun Explosive Sniper.

5-6 bullets from the Explosive Sniper.

 

Bullet-wise, it was not tested. I would personally assume that it would be able to take 500 to 1000 bullets from a Minigun - but again, this has not been tested. 

 

 

 

Both tests were done in an Online session, and the Bombushka was occupied by a player.

Another case of "R* does it again" then. What the hell is the point of a huge plane if it's just gonna be a massive, slow, poorly maneuverable target with next to no armour? Seems like we've gotten the plane version of the Savage and Rhino, something that's supposed to be a flying tank but instead is way too fragile.

This thing can be deadly if you got the right Crew to control the explosive guns, though. It has more than twice the Range of the Valkyrie's gun, so killing people on the ground is no issue.

 

Hydras and Explosive Snipers, on the other hand...

A head on attack might be a solution to counter it.
If it's 5 explosive sniper rounds to kill it, since it's an unmissable target, .....
Hopefully, it will change when released and be a MOC style resistance.

Was this tested once or multiple times? 

 

Aircraft - from before this update at least - had strange properties when it came to explosives. A Pegasus Buzzard would blow up in 1 shot from the explosive sniper rifle, or it would blow up in 3. If it took 3 shots, the next time it'd be 1, and if it took 1, the next time it'd be 3. I gave up testing explosive weapons on aircraft because of that (and it was lots of different aircraft, not just the Buzzard). 

I'm hoping the aircraft from this update have that fixed though.

Well, after thinking about the pros and cons...
Even if it gets blown by a clip of explosive sniper, or by 3 homing, I'll get one.
Just to have fun with friends in contact missions and on crew events.


But man.... Please.... MOC resistance....... Give the explosive canons a true contender...... Pleeeeeeaaaaase !

 

Forget about using it on missions if its anything like the MOC

How long is the explosive sniper's range?

 

1500 metres. 

 

So if the Bombushka is being flown at "the proper altitude" - around 1000 to 1,500ft, it's the only weapon you should really have any worry about.

It's so big that if you're flying and you record gameplay, you can't position the Free Camera further back than the rear turret. It's also the slowest thing in the world.

I like its looks and overall magnitude... But I'm not gonna buy it. Since I'm playing mostly solo or with just a few friends in non-hostile environments, I see no practical use of this plane for me, apart perhaps 'owning' it... Like some already mentioned I think (for me) the Tula is a better purchase, which I already made... More practical for a solo-oriented player.. 

 

So I'll save some money again (before spending it later)... :-)

3 homings is kind of disappointing. If it has counter measures than it may be decent, if not, that armor is definitely going tO need a buff.
