Hi, everyone. I have been recently having problems with my GTA V performance. I've been getting around 25 and 30 FPS, and when I move my mouse, I generally see the lackluster performance (both in-game and in the menu). I play on the lowest settings, with my VSync set to 'Half'.

I had to reinstall the game, and after I installed it again, I was having problems with textures not loading, so VSync set to 'half' fixed the problems (so changing that is out, though I do get an increase in performance and FPS if I change it to 'on' or turn it off).

My specs:

CPU: Intel Core i3-2100 @ 3.1GHz

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 430 - 1GB

OS: Win 8.1 Pro x64

Yes, I know it's a sh*tty PC to play GTA V, but when I played it before, the performance was amazing (despite the low settings, I'm used to low-end gaming). Now, I can't seem to fix it.

I had a PC like this, maybe ten years ago, LOL. Your PC doesn't even meet minimum specs - time to get a new PC.

You're not gonna get anything higher then what you're already getting that is a low end PC..

These are the minimum specs for the game

  • OS: Windows 8.1 64 Bit, Windows 8 64 Bit, Windows 7 64 Bit Service Pack 1.
  • Processor: Intel Core i5 3470 @ 3.2GHZ (4 CPUs) / AMD X8 FX-8350 @ 4GHZ (8 CPUs)
  • Memory: 8GB.
  • Video Card: NVIDIA GTX 660 2GB / AMD HD7870 2GB.
  • Sound Card: 100% DirectX 10 compatible.
  • HDD Space: 65GB.

Now lets compare those with yours

CPU: Game Recommendations - i5 Yours -i3

GPU: Game Recommendations  660 2GB - Yours - 430 - 1GB

RAM: Game Recommendations 4 GB - Yours 4GB

The only thing you meet the recommendations on is the RAM everything else you don't come close, Upgrade your PC if you want to increase your FPS or you're stuck with what you have now.
