Best Answer Mubber, 4 weeks ago

Make sure the audio is mono and you are exporting as 16bit pcm vaw.

So I have tried making a new police siren mod for SA. Recorded the sound effect from youtube, cut & edited with audacity and exported in .wav format.

Then used modloader and made folder and pasted sound files like

.../GTASA/modloader/GENRL/Bank_068/Sound_011

and

.../GTASA/modloader/GENRL/Bank_068/Sound_012

But when I start the game, all police vehicles are using the old default siren sound and not the new one which I added.

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

You know for sure what you replaced? Suddenly these are not police sirens? And for example a siren from a cutscene or for a cutscene. If all the same, something went wrong, then try to replace the sounds with the SAAT program (San Andreas Audio Toolkit)
And anyway, you have all the libraries installed cleo? Maybe you have gta_sa.exe in.1.1?

Thanks! Now I get it. I did it in stereo and 32 bit.
