GTA 3 on Steam

Hi, I have a problem with GTA 3 on Steam, when i click play a black screen flashes and nothing happens. I play on a 64 bit Windows 7

Try reinstall the game or change the compatibility

I also have windows 7 x64 and I don't experience your problem. Just uninstall the game and if there are any remaining files in the folder - delete them. Then install again and see if it's going to work.

try removing the movies folder

Do you have the gta3.exe executable listed in the Data Execution Prevention?

 

System -> Advanced System Settings (In "Performance" select "Settings".)

Ok, I know this topic was posted 4 weeks ago but i finally found a solution to my problem.

I just installed the Silent Patch for GTA III and now everything works nice.
