GTA V SPECIAL VEHICLE GUIDE

FOR XBOX 360 & PS3

Special Vehicle Properties Legend:

UC = Unique Colour - Vehicle has a colour that cannot be found in traffic and LS Customs colour lists.

UC2 = Unique Secondary Colour - Vehicle has a secondary colour that cannot be found in traffic and LS Customs colour lists, sometimes can't be even changed.

UWC = Unique Wheel Colour - Vehicle's wheels have a colour that cannot be found in traffic and LS Customs colour lists.

UPC = Unique Pearlescent - Vehicle has a unique pearlescent colour that cannot be found in traffic and LS Customs pearlescent list.

BPT = Bullet Proof Tires - Vehicle has tires which cannot be popped by gunfire.

BTS = Black Tire SmokeVehicle has a unique black tire smoke (unequipped type), but is special only if exists only on blank plate vehicles which cannot be modded in LS Customs. Example: BTS/BPT/BP/NE Taxi. NOTE it is also 'unequipped', so if you mod and repair it in LS Customs (e.g. in case you want to impound it), this property will be removed.

UP = Unique Plate - Vehicle has a unique plate that cannot be found anywhere except on this vehicle. Example: DR3YFU55 on Dreyfuss's Landstalker.

BP = Blank Plate - Vehicle has a plate that is completely white.

SP = Set Plate - Vehicle has a plate which is always the same when you meet this vehicle, even in different savegames, but still matches the usual plate design standards.

NE = No Extras - Vehicle lacks something that it usually has, e.g. Taxi with no roof light, a Mixer with no mixer in the back.

UE = Unique Extras - Vehicle has unique extras that cannot be found on usual this type of vehicles. Example: UE/RV (TP Inc. graffiti) Cargobob.

RV = Rare Vehicle - Vehicle is obtainable after 100%, however not normally; it requires you to buy one (without unique properties, of course), obtain one requiring headache-techniques or is featured in game events, which' rarity is random and obtaining one takes helluva lot of time.

Unique = Unique - Vehicle is featured only in a certain mission, you can never find one outside this mission.

Garages And Impounds:

Garages: Every GTA V save can hold a maximum of 20 road vehicles safely, 3 helicopters, 3 boats and 3 planes. Interior garages have a maximum space of 4, safehouse garages 2 and strip club parking aslo 2 vehicles. In the early state of the story, you can also use Franklin's aunt's house for 2 special vehicles (although one should be a bike, it is very small), or Trevor's Vespucci condo for 2 as well. Be aware though, these saving places are only recommended to 'unlock" and 'repair' vehicles, they are willing to eat your saved vehicles randomly. Other vehicles can be saved only one per character. Without online access you cannot (you can if you have possible free weekends to play online) buy a hangar, marina, helipad and an interior garage early in the game. You can try completing Epsilon Program for 2,100,000$ for Michael or collect briefcases on sea floors to earn money, 2 spaces is surely not enough.

Impounds: You can also save road vehicles into impounds to get additional 6 saving spaces. In order to do it, you should know how they work.

-To impound, you have to mod the vehicle somehow in LS Customs. The easiest way is to equip a new plate type. Then abandon the vehicle by leaving it far behind and it should be impounded.

-To avoid discarding by random vehicles, just do not use any traffic cars while passing the story. Use character vehicles, taxi service, planes, boats, helicopters.

-Impound is a garage that deletes the UWC property.

Glitches And Notes:

GLITCHES:

GLITCH 1: Teleport Into Locked Vehicle (removed by patch 1.07)

This glitch helps you to obtain locked Special Vehicles from missions, but you have to downgrade your game to remove all updates in order to do it. Simply stand in front of a locked vehicle, open your phone camera and while it opens, rapidly press Y or Triangle and for some reason, player gets teleported onto a driver seat. If you accidentally leave the vehicle and close the door, you can use the same trick again.

GLITCH 2: Save Any Road Vehicle In Interior Garage (removed by patch 1.21)

This trick allows you to save trucks, vans, buses as well as cars into an interior garage. Pretty cool, huh? This is extremely helpful if you have trouble with garage management. Just drive a vehicle you want to store in front of the garage door and get out. Game says "press <- to enter a garage". Now enter your vehicle instead and while the character is entering, press the <- key. Screen goes black, but your vehicle should also be inside. Don't worry if it is doing funny dance moves between the ceiling and a floor, you should still be able to enter it.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Never save a HWY Dump in there. It is the only vehicle that is too big for it, and after entering, you along all your saved vehicles will fall into a grey hell. Only one who survives this fall, is the player.... ALSO never store something big as a fourth vehicle. If you save e.g. a Phantom to the slot nearest to the door, player can NEVER enter this garage again, and all 4 vehicles are gone + game crashes.

GLITCH 3: Tire Rack + Gray Hell (removed by later patches)

This glitch allows you to get some Special Vehicles with an extraordinary teleportation glitch. You have to jump onto a tire rack in your interior garage and get stuck. For further details check out the Video by fnxrak .

GLITCH 4: LS Customs Trick

This is a simple trick that can allow you to obtain various vehicles featured in missions. It only applies to vehicles that can actually be driven during the mission, though. Once inside the vehicle of choice, go to an LS Customs garage. Enter and modify the vehicle in some way. This will set it as the "active" vehicle for that character, and it will appear parked nearby after the mission ends, even if it's a mission-important vehicle. However, sometimes the vehicle in question will be impounded instead; in that case, just go to the impound lot and pay to get it out of impound. Don't forget about it! Some missions result in a message stating that LS Customs is closed. In these cases, it is sometimes possible to "re-open" them by failing the mission and choosing to retry.

GLITCH 5: View Any Pearlescent

This trick allows you to view the pearlescent colour menu without purchasing a metallic respray. Useful to find the pearlescent of a vehicle without resorting to a save editor. To do so is simple. Enter LS Customs and enter the respray menu. Choose to change the primary colour, then view the metallic menu. Exit out to the main modification menu, and select plate. Change the equipped plate type. Return to the primary colour menu and select pearlescent. It will now show the pearlescent colour list, including which colour is currently equipped (unless it is a unique pearlescent, in which case it will show nothing as equipped).

NOTES:

NOTE 1: If a vehicle is broken, you can retrieve it by switching characters. Helpful with special vehicles which' engine is damaged. Sometimes a game decides to make your vehicle vanish after switch though, so pray for that better not happen.

NOTE 2: GTA V's Safehouse Garages have a desperate need of eating vehicles. It is rather easy to avoid. Just after you store something, ALWAYS look at the garage if it closes. Drive far away, come back and look if it saved. Some missions don't allow to save into Safehouses after completion. Also check your garage ALWAYS when you switched to a character who was in his own house.

Sometimes game is too slow to spawn garage vehicles and they disappear. This frequently happens with Franklin's aunt's house garage.

NOTE 3: If you do everything right from the note above, then the game also have "periods", which will make character's garages seem empty during the specific moments in the storyline. This happens with Michael or Franklin's new house. Don't worry, after completing several missions, your vehicles should spawn back. If they don't... note 2 is your best friend.

NOTE 4: Never choose to kill someone in the end, if you want to keep all garage spaces. Killing Michael/Trevor causes at least 10 vehicle capacity just disappear. So, always pick option C. Luckily it's the best ending  :)

NOTE 5: Unless you choose to pick the best vehicles for a one complete savegame, 1 savefile is clearly not enough to obtain them ALL. Definitely choose different heist options to get everything out of the game. Also, a starter save should be your best friend. I suggest doing the following:

- Start a new game, fill garages with first vehicles available. Then save the game to a different slot, and complete the old one 100% (or story, if you don't care). When finished, take your saved slot, now dump all the vehicles which you already obtained, and take another set of vehicles without starting a new game! Then save on a new slot, again complete the game on an old, and load a saved slot, another set.. this is a good strategy to skip annoying things in the beginning, e.g. Scrap Letters, Under the Bridges, Stunt Jumps...as you don't have to do them repeatedly.

Special Vehicle List:

PROPERTY CHECK IN PROGRESS

DO NOT OBTAIN VEHICLES WITHOUT A NUMBER

Always check all sections before obtaining, e.g. some switch event vehicles can only be obtained in a certain period of the story!

How To Obtain:

1.0. UC Worn Blue Silver Gallivanter Baller

Mission: Repossession

Pass or fail: -

Requirements: Small Towtruck

How to obtain: Welcome to obtaining special vehicles in GTA V! This is a nice vehicle that features a worn variant of bluish sliver which is not found anywhere else in the game. First of all, I will be explaining how to get this and 1.1 UC2 Metallic Blue Silver Benefactor Schwartzer at the same time. This is rather simple, but takes some time, and is much quicker if you obtain these two together. It is a pre-mission vehicle so you don't need to start the mission to obtain. What you want to do first is to drive all the way to Paleto Bay on top of the map and look for a small version towtruck near the Beeker's Garage. One should always spawn, parked next to the garage door. Jack it and drive all the way back to Los Santos. Another thing you need is a handgun, take one from any spawn location or earn money and buy it, 2 bullets is enough for now. Next, drive your towtruck back of the dealership and make sure you DON'T enter it. Instead, shoot a bullet inside and the mission should be 'interrupted'. Tow e.g. a Baller into Franklin's garage, follow NOTE 2 on the guide and then, in order to store the UC2 Schwartzer as well, store Baller into interior garage. You can now place the towtruck into Franklin's garage so you don't need to bring another from Paleto Bay. Do the same for the UC2 Schwartzer and now you have obtained first two special vehicles from GTA V!

1.1. UC2 Metallic Blue Silver Benefactor Schwartzer

Mission: Repossession

Pass or fail: -

Requirements: Small Towtruck

How to obtain: Check 1.0. UC Worn Blue Silver Gallivanter Baller in order to obtain this and the UC2 Schwartzer together. This is the only vehicle in GTA V that features an invisible UC2. You cannot edit secondary colour on Schwarzer in LS Customs, but it still exists and can be seen via editor. The colour is blue silver (in LS Customs list bluish silver) which is not unique itself, but traffic default Schwartzers share usually the same colour as primary and secondary, and you can never find this one in traffic.

Notes: -

1.2. UC Worn Light Orange Bravado Bison

Mission: Repossession

Pass or fail: Fail

Requirements: GLITCH 1

How to obtain: In this mission you can get two UC Bisons, this one is the easier one. Again you have the opportunity to obtain the very special worn variants, a variant which doesn't even exist in LS Customs. Simply do the mission like normal until you have to walk behind Lamar in the alleyway. Soon you will see this UC orange Bison sitting there, parked and doors locked. Simply use GLITCH 1, you will be teleported into vehicle and the mission will be failed. Exit, find a way out of the alley (gates are stuck, but there are wide-enough gaps between houses) and save it to your garage. This Bison can also be obtained while passing the mission, but it is not suggested, as in GTA V there are no mission attempts in the stats and you will skip UC green Bison, as those two have to be obtained separately either way. But, as the UC green Bison needs a failure, you can first obtain this and later return to UC orange Bison. Continue with the mission until the shootout begins. Kill first set of Vagos, and leave one next to the gas tank alive. At this point, jack the Bison so the game can register that you have used it. When the engine starts, get out of the car and kill every other Vago that shows up in the mission, but make sure you stand near the Bison. After everyone is dead, get into your Bison and drive out the alleyway, a bike should appear. Wait and make sure that Lamar enters YOUR Bison, as he will first enter a vehicle you used when you arrived to mission point, but if you hang near him, he changes his mind and enters your Bison instead. Now, simply chase the bike down and complete the mission, the Bison will be sitting in the parking space, and you have now obtained the UC worn light orange Bison, along with a mission pass!

1.3. UC Worn Dark Green Bravado Bison

Mission: Repossession

Pass or fail: Fail

Requirements: GLITCH 1

How to obtain: This Bison is only a bit more tedious to obtain, but still a must-be in your UC Bison collection. After you start the mission, drive a little bit further from the actual destination, like shown in the video. Exit your car, jump over the fence and slowly sneak behind the UC green Bison. Be aware though, you have to use the GLITCH 1, but you MUSTN'T touch the Bison, sometimes Vagos inside will be interrupted, the mission will be instantly failed, and the Bison disappears after you exit. fnxrak managed to pull this off while he touched the Bison, however it is all boiled down to luck. Just stand as close to it as possible, perform the camera trick, exit the mission and drive away using some alternative ways exactly how you did for the orange Bison, because the gates are stuck here, too. Save it to your garage and this UC Worn Dark Green Bison is fully yours!

1.4. UC Worn White Bravado Bison

Mission: Complications

Pass or fail: Fail

Requirements: GLITCH 1

How to obtain: This is another nice Bison to add to your list, and it's pretty easy as well. It is not the usual Bison, we can get a different Mighty Bush company variant with a wooden roof rack. All you have to do is follow the mission normally until you have to enter Michael's house using this UC white Bison to jump on. Instead, use GLITCH 1 and exit the mission when it is failed. Franklin will be on foot, but this Bison is parked right next to him. Simply take it and store to any garage!

1.5. UC/SP 57EIG117 Worn Taxi Yellow Karin Beejay XL

Mission: Complications

Pass or fail: Pass

Requirements: -

How to obtain: This is Jimmy's Beejay you use to drive into the dealership. After the mission is completed, this UC/SP Beejay will still be inside the dealership window, so simply take it and store into garage. It also has a unique louder engine sound, which is apparently unobtainable.

Notes:  ! ! !  If you leave the area or switch characters and then return to dealership, this UC Beejay will still be there until Father/Son is completed, however the SP feature will be converted into random plate, making it just UC Worn Taxi Yellow Karin Beejay XL.

Video by fnxrak / Video by MM KJ ChromeExhaust <-SOON

1.6. UWC Unidentified White Karin Beejay XL

Mission: Complications

Pass or fail: Pass

Requirements: -

How to obtain: Also check vehicle 1.7. UWC/RV Unidentified White Obey Tailgater as these two can be obtained via same strategy. These are the vehicles found inside the dealership after completing the mission, 2 Karin Beejays and 2 Obey Tailgaters. Those give us a wheel colour that is not in LS Customs list, also it is not seen in garage editor - all that makes it the most UWC you could have in GTA V. Simply choose which one you like more and drive it to your garage. You can also obtain both Beejay and Tailgater by double-driving to Michael's safehouse. If you return later, the red Karin Beejay is replaced with another matte yellow Beejay, which is NOT unique because it is doable via GLITCH 5. Pearlescent is formula red.

Notes:  ! !  This vehicle is UWC ONLY after completing the mission. Returning to the area later or switching characters causes the wheel colour to become usual alloy. Also, the impound will delete this property.

Video by fnxrak / Video by MM KJ ChromeExhaust <-SOON

1.7. UWC/RV Unidentified White Obey Tailgater

Mission: Complications

Pass or fail: Pass

Requirements: -

How to obtain: Check vehicle 1.6. UWC Unidentified White Karin Beejay XL as these two can be obtained via same strategy.

Notes:  ! !  This vehicle is UWC ONLY after completing the mission. Returning to the area later or switching characters causes the wheel colour to become usual alloy. Also, the impound will delete this property.

Video by fnxrak / Video by MM KJ ChromeExhaust <-SOON

1.8. BPT/BTS/BP Canis Mesa (1 of 3)

Mission: Complications

Pass or fail: Pass

Requirements: -

How to obtain: This is the last special vehicle you can get from this mission, and it's pretty cool and easy one as well. All you have to do is switch to Franklin after completing the mission, he will be talking on the phone. Turn around and walk a bit, soon you will easily notice a Mesa with a completely empty license plate. Jack it and store into a garage. As it is the last vehicle from Complications in the list, I suggest obtaining it after everything else as well. Obtain UWC vehicles or UC/SP Beejay before that, you can even double-drive and waste time, but you can still get this Mesa if you haven't switched yet. Good luck with this mission!

Notes:  ! ! !  Saving it in safehouse garage deletes the BPT property, and interior garage and impound delete the BTS property. So take your pick.

Video by fnxrak / Video by MM KJ ChromeExhaust <-SOON

1.9. UP/RV LAMAR G Vapid Speedo (1 of 3)

Mission: Chop

Pass or fail: Pass

Requirements: -

How to obtain: This is one of those vehicles you are simply given after mission, although it can also be got after 100% completion. When the mission ends, you will still be driving this UP Speedo, save it and that's it!

Notes: -

Video by fnxrak / Video by MM KJ ChromeExhaust <-SOON

2.0. UC/RV Metallic Light Brown Brute Boxville (1 of 3)

Mission: Father/Son

Pass or fail: Fail

Requirements: -/GLITCH 2 if you want

How to obtain: Another main mission, another set of vehicles. First you will meet this Boxville which can be actually obtained after 100% as well, but can be a headache; this mission is actually the easiest to take this brown Boxville from. Do the mission like normal until you have to shoot a guy on a yacht. Then, Jimmy should say 'It's the guy from the dealership!' At this point, this Boxville should show up driving on your lane, quickly stop your car in front of it and jack it. If you manage to drive the Boxville before the mission fails, you can exit. Store this into safehouse garage or use GLITCH 2 for interior garage and go hunt for a next special vehicle. If you miss that one, there should later appear another brown Boxville on the highway intersection between two big bridges, driving on opposite lane. You can jack that one too.

2.1. UC Metallic White Atomic Declasse Burrito (1 of 2)

Mission: Father/Son

Pass or fail: Fail

Requirements: -/GLITCH 2 if you want

How to obtain: This is a nice opportunity to obtain UC white Burritos with ease; different liveries and variants all featured in the same mission. Also take a look at 2.2. UC Metallic White Pharte Gas Declasse Burrito (1 of 3) as those can be obtained via same technique. The Burrito will show up a bit later in the mission than the brown Boxville, it is driving on your lane on top of the biggest bridge in LS. You will notice this white colour from the distance for sure. Interestingly enough, the mission features 4 liveries, but only 2 - white Atomic and white Pharte Gas are unique. McGill Olsen and LSDWP are traffic-defaults so if you see them, simply lose the yacht and retry the mission. Checkpoint is just before the meeting point with a Burrito, so if you see the proper livery, pull up straight in front of the van, jack it, make sure Michael drives it and then exit the mission, since it will be failed. Take it to your garage and you can start the mission again to obtain a second UC white Burrito too, but it is not suggested, as both UC variants come up later in the story. If you want, then you can choose from different roof-design-jam as well, since every Burrito features 4 different roof designs, from being totally empty to having pipes and ladders on it.

Notes: -

2.2. UC Metallic White Pharte Gas Declasse Burrito (1 of 3)

Mission: Father/Son

Pass or fail: Fail

Requirements: -/GLITCH 2 if you want

How to obtain: Check 2.1. UC Metallic White Atomic Declasse Burrito (1 of 2) as those can be obtained via same technique.

Notes: -

2.3. RV Vapid Prison Bus

Mission: Father/Son

Pass or fail: Fail

Requirements: GLITCH 2

How to obtain: This is a very good chance to get the rare Prison Bus without entering a prison and getting wanted level. This Prison Bus is the latest to show up on highway, so in order to see it, you should not rush with the mission progress. It drives on an opposite lane near the intersection between two giant bridges. Simply pull up in front of it, jack it, make sure Michael is driving, and if the mission fails, exit it. Now you will need to use GLITCH 2 in order to store it, since no safehouse can fit one and normally you can't put it in interior garage either. So if you want this one, good luck!

Notes:  ! ! !  It is suggested that you store it in Franklin's interior garage, since the entrance to Michael's is too low in order to drive though.

Video by fnxrak / Video by MM KJ ChromeExhaust <-SOON

2.4. BPT/BTS/BP/NE/RV Taxi (1 of 3)

Mission: Father/Son

Pass or fail: Pass

Requirements: -

How to obtain: This is definitely, without doubt, the coolest variant of taxi you could have across all other GTA series. Lightless taxi in GTA V with bullet proof tires and empty plate - man, this is a must be. And it is very easy to obtain as well, no need to fail the mission. As soon as you pass the mission, switch to Michael, he will be exiting this taxi. Usually BP vehicles are parked, but this one you have to jack as soon as you gain control over Michael by holding the Y/Triangle button, otherwise you will just lose it, which is pretty dumb. Drive it into your preferred garage and that's it! Note that the same taxi can be obtained later in the game as well, but both late methods are not so easy as this one, and finding the right switch event for one can be a headache. So why let go?

Notes:  ! ! !  Saving it in safehouse garage deletes the BPT property, and interior garage and impound delete the BTS property. So take your pick.

2.5. UE (winch) Bravado Bison

Mission: Marriage Counseling

Pass or fail: -

Requirements: GLITCH 1

How to obtain: This is a nice variant of the usual McGill Olsen Bison in the game, featuring a permanent winch in the back. Also check 2.6. UC Utility Red Dinka Blista as those are both, again, pre-mission vehicles that do not require you to start the mission and can be obtained similarly. When you reach Michael's house, just walk in front of a vehicle you want and use GLITCH 1 to jack it. Drive it to any garage and all the work is done! Be careful though, you don't want to accidentally walk into yellow marker near the Bison.

Notes:  ! ! !  It is suggested that you obtain this vehicle with Michael, and trade it with Franklin later, if you need. When you walk inside Michael's garden using Franklin, the coach will be pushed out of the window and the mission starts.

2.6. UC Utility Red Dinka Blista

Mission: Marriage Counseling

Pass or fail: -

Requirements: GLITCH 1

How to obtain: Check 2.5. UE (winch) Bravado Bison for the strategy.

Notes:  ! ! !  It is suggested that you obtain this vehicle with Michael, and trade it with Franklin later, if you need. When you walk inside Michael's garden using Franklin, the coach will be pushed out of the window and the mission starts.

2.7. UC/UC2 Matte White/Metallic Dark Blue Zirconium Journey

Mission: Marriage Counseling

Pass or fail: Fail

Requirements: -/GLITCH 2 if you want

How to obtain: This is a very unique variant of the Journey, as it features 2 visible unique colours. Which makes them unique, is the fact that you cannot mod a Journey in LS Customs. Obtaining is not so hard: when you have to chase the coach, this Journey backs up in front of you near a hillside house and stops your chase. Simply exit the Bison, jack the Journey and abandon Franklin. Mission will be failed, exit it and save it to a garage you like more.

2.8. UC2/SP 07KZF345 Worn Black Albany Emperor

Mission: The Long Stretch

Pass or fail: Fail

Requirements: -

How to obtain: After competing Marriage Counseling, this additional mission should occur for Franklin. It features a nice vehicle with a visible secondary colour, which is a unique worn variant above everything else as well. Not so hard to steal, too. When the mission starts, try to jack the car and drive away while leaving Stretch, Lamar or both behind. Mission fails because of abandoning your homies, exit and go save it into your preferred garage. This one can also be obtained while passing the mission, but it is a lot more tedious, requires you to use GLITCH 4 and also, GTA V doesn't have mission attempts stat, so it is much less time consuming when simply failing it. You can obtain the next special vehicle by passing the mission, though.

Notes: -

Video by fnxrak / Video by MM KJ ChromeExhaust <-SOON

2.9. SP 345MTA729 Albany Cavalcade

Mission: The Long Stretch

Pass or fail: Pass

Requirements: -

How to obtain: This is quite a cool vehicle as it features a plate reading MTA, which could possibly mean Multi Theft Auto, as this one can be used as a getaway vehicle by Franklin, Lamar and Stretch. This is a way to obtain it. When you reach the point in the mission where you have to jump over the wall and escape from cops, this Cavalcade should be parked nearby, headlights on and surrounded with people. Just jack it and wait for your homies to get in, then evade the police. I suggest using the nearby tram tunnel, as cops won't search underground. Then you can keep the vehicle after you pass the mission.

3.0. UC2/UE (Humane livery) Metallic White Brute Boxville

Mission: BZ Gas Grenades

Pass or fail: Pass

Requirements: -/GLITCH 2 if you want

How to obtain: You cannot do much by yourself in order to steal it from mission, as the mission itself is about stealing this van. Pay attention though because obtaining it is pretty easy to miss. So you have to take certain steps if you want to get this one most easily. When you approach the Hs letter, jack the Boxville and evade the cops. It might take a while with this van, but it should be no problem. After you evade, shoot back doors open so you can crab a BZ briefcase; this gives you a gold medal and also saves more time if the mission is passed later. Go to the garment factory, but deliver the briefcase, not a van. After mission passes and if you didn't pass Bugstars Equipment yet, this van is sitting outside the factory. Steal it and take it to your garage, or trade it with Franklin. If you delivered a van instead, you need to stay close the Boxville after completion, switch characters and now you can jack this vehicle. Otherwise it will be locked and you can use GLITCH 1 to get it.

Notes:  ! ! !  This vehicle can ONLY be obtained if you choose a "Smart" approach for the jewel store job, and ONLY if you complete this setup mission before Bugstars Equipment.

Video by fnxrak / Video by MM KJ ChromeExhaust <-SOON

3.1. BPT FIB Granger

Mission: Carbine Rifles

Pass or fail: Fail

Requirements: GLITCH 3

How to obtain: Not so hard to obtain, but takes some time. Before approaching Hs, you need to use a pretty interesting GLITCH 3. Explanation in here may be confusing, so do exactly like in the video. As soon as you are spawned in the world, but with a black radar, you need to jack the truck by entering it, as you cannot use any weapons. Also you cannot steal other vehicles. You can cause a traffic jam on highway by walking in front of the vehicles, this makes jacking the truck easier, as when it approaches, it slows down because of the traffic jam. Enter it and you will instantly be spawned in front of Michael's interior garage. Go to Michael's safehouse, get into his Tailgater instead and abandon the FIB truck. Mission will be failed, but when you exit, this BPT truck can be retrieved from impound by paying 250$. Save it into interior garage and that's it!

Notes:  ! ! !  This vehicle can ONLY be obtained if you choose a "Loud" approach for the jewel store job. Saving it in safehouse garage deletes the BPT property.

Video by fnxrak / Video by MM KJ ChromeExhaust <-SOON

3.2. NE Canis Bodhi (1st chance)

Mission: Mr. Philips - Hang Ten

Pass or fail: -

Requirements: -/GLITCH 2 if you want

How to obtain: This is pretty weird vehicle to name NE, as it only misses a teddy bear in front before "Hang Ten", after what it becomes permanent. Any other property for it would be even more confusing. Obtaining this vehicle is simple, and can be done during a long period of the storyline, so it is suggested to get one later to save garage space. Between missions "Mr. Philips" and "Friends Reunited", just use GLITCH 2 to save it into Trevor's interior garage. Later, it is easier to just trade it with Franklin or Michael.

Notes:  ! ! !  This vehicle becomes unobtainable and unique after mission "Hang Ten", so make sure to obtain one before that.

3.3. UP TPI1000 Nagasaki Blazer

Mission: Nervous Ron

Pass or fail: Fail

Requirements: -

How to obtain: Take a look at 3.4. UP B3L13V3 Nagasaki Blazer, as this one is so easy that writing down a strategy is useless.

Notes: -

Video by MM KJ ChromeExhaust <-SOON

3.4. UP B3L13V3 Nagasaki Blazer

Mission: Nervous Ron

Pass or fail: Fail

Requirements: Sticky Bombs

How to obtain: Finally a challenging vehicle to obtain, compared to upper one, which' obtaining doesn't even require extra time. It took me a sweet time to find out how to obtain both of these vehicles without a suicide. As soon as you start the mission, you can see two Blazers sitting on the street. Jack TPI1000 one and just park it to your garage. Now, you need to travel across the map to find yourself a Packer. Why Packer is much better than Phantom or any other truck, I'll explain in my video one day. Once you have the Packer (easiest to find one is in Paleto Bay), go to the water tower where Ron's Blazer is parked under. Climb up the tower and place some bombs next to Ron, but MAKE SURE you don't explode them! As those cannot be bought from Ammu-Nation at this point of the game, you have to search for a spawn location to get some, they are useful when you don't want a wasted stat. Then go back to your Packer and now what you need to do is place the Blazer in front of the truck and push it from it's SIDE all the way to Trevor's home. With Packer it is easy as eating pizza, for example I pushed it to the garage in one go, almost with a max speed. Sometimes when you reach in front of Trevor's garage, it won't open until the Blazer is so near that it prevents opening. In that case, just push the Blazer straight against the garage door, take a small ride around the block and when you come back, the garage door is open for some reason. Just use your Packer to push it inside. Now, drive away, but NOT in the direction of Ron's, otherwise the Blazer gets teleported back next to the water tower. Now when you are far away, press the button that would explode sticky bombs. The mission will be failed, because Ron dies. Exit and return to your garage, but confirm that you can sit on both of them before saving, sometimes B3L13V3 is still unusable. After all this is done, congrats, as you have just obtained a really easy Blazer together with a hard one.

3.5. UC Metallic White Pharte Gas Declasse Burrito (2 of 3)

Mission: Crystal Maze

Pass or fail: Pass

Requirements: -/GLITCH 2 if you want

How to obtain: Easy. As soon as Trevor explodes the house, jack a nearby parked Burrito instead of given Blazer. Drive away, pass the mission and save it to your garage. This is also by far the easiest UC Burrito to obtain in GTA V.

Notes: -

3.6. UPC Dark Blue/Sea Blue/Marine Green Jobuilt Phantoms

Mission: Fame or Shame

Pass or fail: Fail

Requirements: GLITCH 1/GLITCH 2 if you want

How to obtain: UPC CHECK IN PROGRESS...

Ah, I get it now.  However, it's still ambiguous in the long run...Unobtainable means just that, no matter what, it can't be obtained or saved.  For example the Unique Cargo Plane.  You can't "get it" and even if you could, you can't store it as no Hanger is big enough.  THAT is what Unobtainable is.  Whether you pick a specific Heist Setup or not is irrelevant, as this is a Special Vehicle Guide.  The Special Vehicle in question IS obtainable, though.  If the Player wants it, they'll obviously pick the proper Heist Setup to get it.

So is the Guide based on Version 1.00, with all the Exploits included and also the Garage Bug?  Or is this based on the NEWEST, most up to date Patch?

Interesting.  I personally never obtained any of those Special Vehicles with PP Tires, but considering you can make 95% of all Vehicles in the Game PP with the BP Tire Addition in any Los Santos Customs and those SAVE in ALL Garages, then it would make sense that those PP Tire Vehicles in which can't be modded in a Los Santos Customs can save in any Garage, too.

Also in "Fire Truck" Heist Setup Mission, the Fire Truck that is left there before the Heist begins is AP.  You can shoot 9,999 Bullets of the Minigun into it, 25 Grenades/Sticky Bombs, 25 Molotovs, ram the sh*t out of the Fire Truck with any other Vehicle, and it does not smoke, catch fire, or blow up at all.  But if you enter it with Snapmatic Camera Trick, all Properties are deleted and only the PP Tires remain...

All I know is all of my Special Vehicles in which could enter a Los Santos Customs, Snow Asea included, have PP Tires and KEPT them.  None of them are gone even if they are in Safehouse Garages or Impounds...

Ohh..that makes things complicated, even for me. Well the guide is mainly based on the 1.00 version, but I planned to add something like "This vehicle is unobtainable after patch 1.21"

If this AP variant of Firetruck is somehow obtainable, then cool, would be great if someone tries it and shares info, even if its hard. Probably a Towtruck? God I dunno..maybe also an AP Bugstars/AP Humane Labs van?

Well at least in the 1.00 version, all BPT vehicles from missions (not modded) for some reason lose this property when put into Safehouses. Now I tried this with BPT/BTS/BP/NE Taxi as well..

I will remove U property from the guide if its confusing. I thought REALLY unobtainable vehicles are ones not mentioned in the guide, and the ones are, can be left out when choosing a different approach. Especially if you want only one savefile. Although Guide states clearly: Vehicle is unobtainable because of the variant you chose for the heist/final mission. Players should not get confused when they read it..

Is it necessary to have Unobtainable in this guide match III, VC, SA.. and PP is better than BPT?..I thought I can improvise abit..make a brand new guide..

I really dont like "unobtainable" list myself, why bother listing it when its not OBTAINABLE, seems useless to me.

Yea same, this is why I'm ok with heist one-time-situation Unobtainables. No need for more, but I actually don't want to remove them as well, bcs then players read oh, first one on the list: Bollokan Prairie. Will take it. *Reads the strategy: hmm complete subtle, switch to Trevors bla bla bla..ez.* *does it, saves the game*. Then player looks oh, black conversion trick next. *Looks up the strategy: obivous approach...WHATA?? I SAVED* :D so I need to be aware of this, honestly, theres all kinds of people in the world, espec. Playing GTA V probably never seen older series.. need to prepare even for the worst case scenario :p

Good luck on this Guide, MM KJ! Yeah, I would've made a V Guide but I honestly don't have the knowledge for the Game and Lancet Jades' V Guide seems a bit out of order to me personally.

I though 35 was the Maximum Garage Space you can have?

Also, what is the difference between SP and UP anyways?

Can you tell us more about that EC Black Conversion?

I have some complaints though, first no need for listing Unobtainable Vehicles, that's useless because not obtainable = not needed. I see Heist/Choices Unobtainables, like for example you can't get the Skylift if you choose the other The Big Score Approach. I'd honestly say it in the explanation on How to Obtain that you need that specific Approach to get this Vehicle etc. If the reader sucks at knowing the Mission Tree and miss out on any of those Heist Approach Vehicles, then it's their fault.

Rare Vehicle (RV) is unneeded too. Rare = Not Special, thus no need to list it. Unique = Special. Also, no need for the Difficulty. It's a subjective kind of stuff. There's people who suck at 1 star Vehicles, there's people who have NO Problems with 5 star Vehicles... It's all subjective and that part isn't really needed.

I know Michael's Tailgater and Trevor's Bodhi become Unique Vehicles when you choose Ending A and B. But this is nonsense to do, as you'd lose a lot of Storage Room, all for a price to make a non-Special Vehicle into Special.

The Properties confuse the heck out of me lol... UWC, UPC, BPT, BTS etc. Anyways, good luck on the Guide!

Thanks bud, but I still don't want to take away your opportunity to make a guide for next gen.

Across all three characters, yes you can have 35 road vehicles/boats/planes/helis.

UP = Vehicle has a totally unique plate e.g. D1P5H1T. SP = vehicle has a plate that is always same, e.g. 34MTA729 (haha Multi Theft Auto, I'm always sayin, Franklin, Lamar and Stretch jacking it to escape..) but it meets the normal plate requirements (2 numbers - 3 letters - 3 numbers)
It is far less unique than UP, rather Extremely rare, you have to be made in heaven to find another same model with this plate generated in TRAFFIC.

RV - yea I actually thought about it real long, but believe me, some players actually look for these kinds of stuff. Instead of wasting money for expensive Maverick, you can buy helipad and obtain one from a mission for that money. Actually the army Cargobob is RV, but it is hard to get, as it comes in black when bought, and its tedious to shoot it down from a sky and jack it, in an army base.. so better list ez one in here. You can actually buy an army version as well, but it can take several tries, cuz the colour is random, and why waste time for that? Free Z-Type..istead of 10mil. Y not?

UC Black Conversion - Coming in strategies, believe me, it's pretty awesome.

So ok, I will remove U, not needed tho, but not RV and last two vehicles, so I can mention they exist, if someone REALLY wants them...then let em go for it..

Nah, I'm fine with your making a V Guide, you can make it a Next Gen one too. Though the Last Gen Guide would be much more work, while the Next Gen one is just some useless Vehicles with a AP Bike Conversion. No Blank Plates in Next Gen, no Skylift and who knows when that Snow Asea will be removed. I NEVER played the PS4/XONE/PC Versions of V and never will, I'll always stick to PS3 1.00, so I would have zero idea what to do if I made a Next Gen Guide.

Yes but UP is basically the same as SP. UP only exists because of human psychology reading out a word (sounds stupid but it's true), SP isn't "readable" for people, but both are Unique Plates. Sure maybe you will find this SP in Traffic, but what are the odds that the SAME Plate will be seen in Traffic? Maybe even DIP5H1T or Dreyfuss' Landstalker Plate can be seen in Traffic...

People usually only care for RV if it's a P-996 LAZER or something like that. Even that Z-Type is RV because it costs 10 Million and can only be bought, so it's the Rarest of them all. Still, RV = Not Special.

Lol, come on from which Mission is the EC (UC) Black Conversion? I don't remember seeing that on Lancet's Guide.

Because Lancet a silly boy hasn't added it yet :p, he got the info from me as well. It exists in Obivous final heist and happens to your getaway vehicle if you..[error, continue reading if the guide author adds strategies]... Jacking it properly is actually fun for all of us in here, tho, because it is exactly the same, same time consuming, same lucky, same quick as beating Pulaski to his AP/UC2 Buffalo in SA, except with no jetpack. It's obivous that it's UC Black conversion if you do not use a vehicle that can be modded black in LSC tho..

P.S. Only thing I know about new gen GTA V is that OFFROAD cheat spawns Sanchez, first person and that the mining tunnel is open. Nothing about vehicles, so I'm out.

Also I'm out with that chit-chat in here, I'm gonna read your replies SpriteFan274, MorsPrincipiumEst and Bender, but probably not answer anymore. I'll finish my job above first.

LOL, all you do is start the game on the Latest Patch, since the Flight School Update way back when, you're given all the 4 Car Garages (Interior Garages), Helipads, Hangers, Marina Docks for free...Once you start the game and are given this stuff, you just delete the Patches and go back down to 1.00, yet you still have all of this stuff and can use the Interior Garages, which are reliable for earlier Special Vehicles.

fnxrak's Videos show him using all the storage space early on for his Starter Save.  Even shows how to use the Interior Garage Trick to store LARGE Vehicles inside, usually not accepted by the Garage.  This was once again patched, though, so it only works for unpatched games.

And...

Beware of the Garage Bug on Version 1.00, though.  This can be deadly for the Safehouse Garages and any Special Vehicles stored inside there.  However, I know what causes it and how to avoid it.

1) How to prevent random impounds during the whole game (if possible)

2) Info if something is is wrong in the guide for PS3 (I made this guide mainly based on XBOX, so any fix is appreciated.)

Easy.  Just use Helicopters, Planes, Boats, or Character's Personal Vehicle.  Never jack random traffic Vehicles as sometimes these get impounded and then overwrite what you have in there.  The Impounds are very reliable, but you just need to understand how they work.  Just like SA's Impounds...

If you're going off Lancet Jades' Gamefaqs Guide, then I can tell you right now that on PS3, obtaining the UP Blazer (Ron's) is a bit different.  You can't leave a Phantom or anything at Trevor's Trailer before starting the Mission or it vanishes.  You must start the Mission first, and THEN search for one in traffic, but you must find one sort of close by.  I THINK (can't remember as it's been a while since I did anything with V) if you go too far away, you fail the Mission for abandoning Ron or something...

Ok yeah to my mind I even obtained it this way that searched for a heavy truck, not arriving to Trevor's trailer. Such comments are good, if anyone else has experienced differences, let me know.

Now you can take a look at mission-featured special vehicle list and check if there is something missing.

I am sure there is more things that I am forgetting to mention at the moment as I haven't did anything with V in ages.  I remember talking to Lancet Jades a while back about some stuff that differed for me on PS3 compared to Xbox 360, though.  But as of now, only that UP Blazer (Ron) is all I can remember...

As for the List, the f*ck if I know...V is the least known game for me.  Not cuz it's the newest, either.  But because I just don't like it very much (hence why I never made a Guide for it in the first place, while I made a Guide for the other 9 GTA's) and the Special Vehicle aspect is dull and dumbed down beyond belief, so it doesn't really interest me all that much.  If you're just basing the Guide off of Lancet Jades' Guide, then the List should be easy and everything should be included.

The whole Rare Vehicle terminology and Vehicles in here doesn't make sense, though.  Why not include the Lazer if you include the Prison Bus?  Lazer found in Fort Zancudo just like the Prison Bus is found in Bolingbroke (?) Penitentiary.  It can be obtained any time, at any stage of the game.  You get 4 stars in Fort Zancudo, you get 3 stars at the Prison.  However, it's possible to get the Prison Bus by parachuting in and only getting a 2 star Wanted Level...Is the Rhino Tank and Buzzard Attack Chopper going to be included or the plethora of buyable Vehicles, too?

Also, you should ask the Staff to pin this Topic.  The other 9 Guides are pinned, so this should be as well...

I agree with Mors about the Rare Vehicle part. Also, why include the Cognoscenti Cabrio from Missions as a Rare Vehicle, when you also have the UP Cognoscenti Cabrio listed?

I thought the Fixter Bicycle is Unique, but turns out it's Rare... Is it buyable? Where do you even find it outside of the Rampage Five Mission? Rampage Five, or how Next-Gen calls it, "Rampage: Hipsters"... Dumb name change from Rockstar, but ohwell.

Make sure to mention which Vehicles can be saved in which Garage. Some Vehicles will lose their Special Properties when they're saved in a specific Garage.

He did that with the Vacca, too.  Vacca from Meltdown is all you need since it's UP on top of being "Rare."  The one from The Wrap Up is just a plain old Vacca, nothing special about it...

Fixter can be obtained from those Strangers and Freaks Missions.  The one lady rides it.  It's also UH, but UH doesn't save in any Garage.  It does abnormally high Bunny Hops and sh*t...

First - you can obtain Prison Bus from a mission without any effort and wanted level. I don't include rare vehicles randomly because they are 'hard to get' or 'cool'. RV is the topic I won't be discussing anymore.

Second - Fixter, to my mind, can be obtained from the fifth Rampage. You can always return to that rampage later.

Third - yea I'm keeping an eye on that which ones can be saved in Interior and Safehouse without losing properties.

Fourth - pinning? How to do it?

Fifth - sorry that I'm slow with this guide. Everyday life is busy..and now problems with other GTAs.

If my guide is containing to much 'unecessary' stuff, is confusing af, or anything else negative, then take it over somebody I wouldn't give a damn f*ck anymore. Seems that I'm not the right GTA Special Vehicle guy. I just thought I could finally practise my GTA V experience and make good for all of you guys, and then start doing videos for all of these vehicles since the other guy stopped.

Actually Im the Obtain-the-AP-Greenwood-and-then-BP/FP-Greenwood-and-FP-Greenwood-and-EP/FP/DP/MP/UT-Greenwood-in-the-same-save kinda guy, so I include both Random Plate Cabrio and UP Cabrio.

Even though you can obtain that Prison Bus in Father/Son, it still requires an unnecessary Mission Failure.  Fortunately, GTA V doesn't have ANY Mission Attempts/Failures Stats AT ALL like past GTA's, HOWEVER, when you fail a Mission in V, the game actually removes ALL of your Ammo from Weapons that aren't unlocked through the Story yet.  For instance, I did a 13.30% Starter Save for V and picked up tons of Weapons on land and in the ocean, however, when I failed for a Special Vehicle, I lost basically all of it.  If the Weapon isn't unlocked at the time of a Mission Failure inside Ammunation, you lose it entirely from your Weapon Wheel...

Fixter is definitely in one of the Strangers and Freaks for either Michael or Trevor and some lady is riding the Bike and you have to beat her.  It's embarrassing how I can't remember sh*t in V, but yeah.  I know this Fixter for a long time and I know it's also UH and been discussed to death years ago...

To get it pinned, report your own Topic and ask for it to be pinned.  Or just PM someone in the Staff and asked for it to be pinned.  I am sure it will be pinned, since it makes sense as all the other Guides are pinned, as should this one...

You can continue the Guide.  It's no rush.  It's why I gave my Guides to SpriteFan274.  I didn't want anyone to make a Guide.  The RIGHT person needs to be the OP; one that has the time and passion for Special Vehicles and capable of writing and such.  Also who has a full understanding of the game and has knowledge of the Special Vehicles within and has obtained them himself in their own Saves, thus can write from experience.  It's kind of hard to make a Guide if you never played the game or never obtained the Special Vehicles within.  It's why in the IV Guide I made note of heavily basing it off of Lancet Jades' Guide since I personally have only obtained 10 Special Vehicles in IV, despite 100+ existing.  I surely will be doing a 2nd Save in a couple months, but that will only make 20 obtained, while still 90+ more to go.  Most are easy and boring, thus I don't even care to do more than a 2nd Save, and same would go for V.  2 Saves for IV and V would be good enough for me and satisfy the Special Vehicle aspect in both games for me...

When there is only so much space, there is no point in obtaining inferiors while the space can be used for something else, superior or completely different.

The UH 'Fixter' you talking about is actually the UH Super Scorcher Mary-Ann uses in her Exercising Demons mission for Trevor. Yes its UH which cannot be stored.

But alright I think you got what you wanted. I remove RV from the guide, although I'd like to get some info about missing/wrong vehicles and note if something is not UC or UPC or such. I have given my best to test them but I may have missed something important.

So I finished the list and started with strategies. First enthusiasts can take a look :)

Sorry about my rough descriptions and english overall, I'm from Estonia and not really home with this language.

Looks good!  So you're going to be recording Videos for the entire Guide with ALL Vehicles and show how to get them?  Good luck.  I guess it'll take a while...

First discoveries:

UWC/UPC White/Red Karin Beejay XL is fully LS Customs-creatable using GLITCH 5. UWC does not exist on this vehicle.

UC2 Worn Grey Albany Emperor is a traffic-default.

UWC property can be saved in interior garages, only impounds eat it.

BTS property will be deleted when you enter LS Customs and repair your vehicle, because it is an unequipped type; editor says tire smoke is usual white.

2 vehicles went into trash bin.

So, I will try to finish with vehicles from Father/Son and then I won't be doing this guide for 10 days or so, due to a trip. First set of vehicles is carefully checked and descriptions fixed, so you are free to start obtaining if you want. Removed some vehicles that were actually not special at all, and changed some property details.

I see the Guide under way! :)  Like I said before, good luck!

You found some Vehicles that weren't real?  This is the problem with the HD Era (IV, TLaD, TBoGT, CW, and V).  When it comes to anything with a Luster/Pearlescent or an EC, you haven't a clue if it's real or not.  People have just made educated guesses up to this point, basically.  Nothing is truly confirmed at all...

Yeah that is the only challenge for me with this guide, actually. Obtaining? Hehehhehe...nothin'..

So far I have compared first ~30vehicles with an editor (which is suprisingly accurate), saved them into different garages to make things sure, searched for similar vehicles in traffic for hours (and see - it was worth it, found out that UC2 Worn Grey Albany Emperor spawns in traffic with same primary, secondary, pearlescent and wheel color as in the mission). Though my best discovery today was that the special pearl roof Beejay from the dealership isn't unique AT ALL.
You have to use GLITCH 5 but through this you can always equip matte yellow as primary, cast iron silver as secondary and add formula red pearl via this trick - boom exactly the same Beejay. About the experience, I can actually rely on myself because I have obtained every single vehicle from the upper list, some twice, some thrice and some even more, I have messaged Lancet to fix handful of inferior stuff in his FAQ. And most of all, I had 8 save files, which were all deleted, and now I have 6 already..though I'm still in Paleto Bay Heist section with my obtaining, all garages and saves are full of this stuff above.

Right now I have to start checking UC Burritos, though. Another long driving, searching for ones spawn in traffic. So I can compare them all 100%. White Atomic and Pharte Gas are definitely unique, white McGill Olsen is definitely not, but some say white LSDWP spawns parked randomly...whilst I think it doesn't.

So my job is to check such things, I don't want to post sh*t to you guys. If I started a guide, it better be a GUIDE :)
