Do the bunker gun range challenges permanently unlock weapons?

Just wanted to know if the grenade launcher and RPG that you unlock from the tier 2&3 gun range challenges are ''temporary'' (you lose them if you leave the session) or permanent (you can go to ammunation and it'll show up as owned). Because I haven't unlocked them yet (too low level) and wanted to know if it would allow you to bypass the level requirement like how the MOC does (was able to buy all the guns despite being too low level to buy them in ammunation)

 

Also I just cannot do the pistol and SMG challenges on tiers higher than 1. I've already done all the other ones, these are the only ones I still need. Any tips? Oh and sometimes the range won't use the correct version of my gun, my pistol and SMG are both MK2 but for the SMG it keeps giving me the MK1, How do I fix this?

Just managed to unlock the grenade launcher. For the record, it doesn't become a permanently owned weapon, sadly. Still got 40 or so levels to go for that.

Yeah I suppose it makes sense that it'd be temporary or just for ammo. Didn't they do the same with yachts?

Not like it would make a huge difference, but I guess Rockstar wouldn't want people giving free grenade launchers and RPGs to players who haven't unlocked them yet.

 

But speaking of the yacht (I haven't been on mine in ages), doesn't it also have a grenade launcher or RPG inside?

Or did it only have a heavy sniper rifle and something else? Hmm..

You might want to check if you have custom weapon loadout enabled before you start the shooting range. I had mine enabled the first time few times I tried and was wondering why I was being given a normal smg, pistol and assault rifle even though I just upgraded them to mk2 beforehand.

Yes, buggy. But the molotovs are literally the only thing i can pick up at any time. For example, i can pick up RPG only when i have it at 0 and it gives me just 2 rockets.

Maybe it's because I always have molotovs anway then.

The Yacht have Special Carbine, Combat MG, Heavy Sniper, Proximity Minds & Homing Launcher ammo.

If you try picking it up when you 'freshly' joined session - will only work when you're low on ammo (as you mentioned with RPG).

If you try picking it up in a session you landed in from a job (race, survival, mission, whatever - I think pretty much anything works) - you can pick up all weapons till you're fully stocked on ammo, works with bunker/yacht spawns and weapons dropped by enemies.

Please not permanent. Because we're not able to sell undesired weapons so once they are permanent, they will be stuck forever in your weaponwheel.

And carrying a sh*tload of weapons is just very tedious. Yes, i already know about the gunlockers and I have it but gunlockers doesn't work in setups/heists.

Grenade Launcher, yuck! Compact Grenade launcher? Hell yes! And pretty cool about the molotovs, such funny weapon :lol:
