how would you imrpove the gameplay of gta V?

 we all know whats wrong with the story i'm asking what could've been done with gameplay.

for starters fix all the bugs that causes the weed farm not to respawn and also the briefcases in the ocean.

next i'll say more random events and frequent like in red dead redemption.

michaels nuclear waste side mission was boring although the pay was good why not add competition from an enemy corperation looking to salvage those barrels. some of those locations would have ships around those areas that released depth charges and there would be enemy npc's on sea sharks as well as enemy deep see divers and Michael would have to kill them with a knife or a speargun or maybe he pulls their scuba mask off or shoots their oxygen tank to dispatch them. that's all for starter but I have more ideas how it could've improved. what do you got? one more thing we can talk interiors but please don't bring up burger shot or clucking bell its been discussed so many times.

-Open up all the properties' interiors so it feels like we actually own them.

 

-Remove the stupid "you can't draw out your weapon inside of here" restriction.

 

-Remove illogical design choices like Michael only being able to change shoes while he's wearing a suit.

 

-The property missions should be something we start ourselves instead of being hassled to do them randomly.

 

-Franklin should be able to play tennis seeing as he can play golf.

- Simgle Player DLC.

- Fix the broken random events that aren't spawning.

- There's a basketball court & Outdoor Gyms. Franklin should be able to have these as activities.

- Trevor owns a Meth Lab. There should be property missions associated with this.

- All the interiors that opened up during story mode, should be available always. Life Invader, Tequila La La, Stadium, Simeon's Dealership, Foundry, Jewelry Store, Meat Packing Facility, Chop Shop, Epsilon Secret Room, Franklin's Aunt's House, Lester's House, Martin Madrazzo's House, the Janitor's apartment, Omega's warehouse, Blaine County Bank, Therapist's Office. I understand not being able to go into Floyd's House, Lester's Warehouse & the Oniell Residence because of what happened during the storyline. But the others should be open. There's no reason for Rockstar to lock them after the mission.

- All the online content should be in single player. Benny's, Gunrunning, Import/Export, Bikers, Finance & Felony, Executive, etc..

- Open up the Racetrack, the Casino, Split Sides, Bahama Mama's, Burger Shot, Cluckin Bell, Epsilon Mansion & the other venues

fix the cop system. they are so annoying. and very unrealistic.

 

add a mall interior and allow us to shop there and rampage as well.

 

other than that I love gta 5 and the gameplay.

- Improve first person mode Animations (mostly the driveby ones)
- Open every single interior + Populate them and add the beta ones back

- Implement everything from Beta
- Make something called "4K Texture Pack" which would add a new Graphic settings for "Textures" in main menu , it would work the same way as Watch Dogs 2 one

 unlock special outfits during the game and not after wards for example after I fought the law the cop suits are unlocked also franklins bandana should've been unlocked after chop then lamar suggest robberies for money after they got fired from the repo job and then from there a tutorial is unlocked and franklin and lamar goes on robbing spree hitting up 24/7,  liquor stores, ,gas station and fleeca banks for a small amount say about 10- 20thousand dollars.  also they could randomly rob peds at atms or rob ballas who would show up on the map as big red dots indicating that they are robbery targes.

trevors bounty missions were too brief and the only good  bounites were larry tupper and the parachute who jumps off of mt chiliad. they should of had at least 10 bounties some being listed as highly dangerous , desperate and volatile. for example a bounty is on the most wanted list he's wanted by the feds, he's holed up in a hotel room with a dealy arsenal and batsh*t crazy and not going down without a fight for example.  a barefoot option for wardrobe if a gamer wants to swim in the backyard swimming pool or at the beach. one last thing........ DUEL WEILDING!!!

no. it  all good until you have 5 stars  and have to get away from the police then your instincts tell you to punch it . then you're making wide angle turns no matter how much you ease the breaks and it slows you down instead of  getting away from the  cops with effiecient time.  the driving in gta IV  is over rated and only sports cars like the infernus are fun to drive in that game.

-Open all interiors.

-Let Lamar use his gun when you hang out with him (he drops it when he dies, but never actually uses it, wth).

-Four-way hangouts between the trio and Lamar.

-Switch between protagonists during hangouts.

-Trevor can hangout with Chef, Ron and Wade (who are all armed).

-Let us rob Fleeca's, Pac Standard Bank, and Blaine County Saving's Bank in freeroam, including during hangouts.

Just another thing to add I would allow switching between all three protagonists when they hang out together. I was pretty gutted when I first for went after the Three Man Army trophy that you couldn't switch between them.

Like if you have all three in a car during a chase with one driving and the other two shooting and being able to switch between them at will. Well that's what I thought could be done.:/

Let me free while in interior (run, jump, shoot) like in old gta
Improve health system (the health is overrealistic seeing you died after falling from a very fast bike or thrown from car window and how mountain lion and dogs kill you in a few bite)
Improve the euphoria physics (enemies falling to easy)
Smashing your head against the wall everytime you try to climb should be removed (it's to overrealistic)
Improve the ai a bit

Other than that i love GTA V

-Simulation mode vehicle physics so cars actually feel like cars.

-Ability to crouch.

-Ability to change weapon attachments on the go.


 

More realistic driving physics. Like GTA IV

That's how it should be. Nobody would use a Chevrolet Aveo as their getaway car in real life, and the gameplay should reflect that.

gta iv driving is just not my cup of tea. maybe if they tone down on the vehicle physics and the swaying chasis of the vehicles, car bodies sway and rock even at 15 mph. I can deal with the airbreaking  but its still needs a touch up. mafia III is an example of good simulated driving physics. I turned on that slidie car cheat with the rockstar editor and it was horrendous. even more tasking than gta IV's driving.  sorry but it just wouldn't work in gta v's engine.

 another one I forgot to mention, 3 yrs playing this game I'm now realizing that I don't like the way option c 'Tying loose ends" was handled. I get it Michael killed stretch because no one around that area knows his face and it won't come back to franklin . same thing with franklin going after the Chinese but that was too blazay.  I think it would've been better if it was lamar and frankliln who decided to go after stretch. theres a cutscene with them strapping up with heavy artillery getting decked out in all black and discussing how and when they are going to take down stretch. then lamars phone starts to buzz, its one of his contacts in chamberlain with the word on stretches location. lamar and frank begins plotting and the cutscene fades out then  the mission starts with lamar and frank in a stolen ride and just before they get to the basketball court theres a prompt telling the gamer to press right on the d pad to put on the ski mask.

you are then instructed to let lamar out  of the car up the street a little further from the rec center and you are instructed to park on the corner or across the street to wait for lamar to reach the basket ball court .  when that happens theres a little dialogue of frank and lamar calling out stretch and talking sh*t then they open fire franklin approaching  from east the and lamar opening fire from the west with two  extra goons because he had other guys in on the plot . they shoot down all the ballas at the b ball court but in the confusion stretch slips away and runs into the appartments during the shootout.  then a foot chase shootout sequence ensues with  franklin and lamar  chasing stretch while he turns and shoots at them while running they chase him and shoot him until he's sutained enough damage and collapses.they corner him and exchange dialogue with injured stretch then a prompt comes up allowing franklin to performe a point blank execution shot to stretches dome.

I would go down to one protagonist from the three to start with. And get rid of all the sh*tty countryside om exchange for making the city bigger. And that's about it.

I was not the one who said I want GTA IV style driving, I want simulation mode driving which is not the same. I always liked the vehicle physics in Mafia series, and I always play in simulation mode. In-fact when Mafia II came out I thought it has the best driving of any open-world game and is vastly superior to GTA IV's driving(and I still do). What next GTA needs is a toggle between simulation mode and a more tone-down arcady mode so everyone can be happy.

 the rockstar app and chopp. in hindsight the rockstar app is  unnecessary and  more could've been done with chop. chop was a big let down. when i first saw him in the trailer i imagined taking him to dog fights or being there at franklins side through most of the game only to find that he's only in 3 missions and he  is useless in one mission so franklin sends him home. he was only good for finding letter scraps and spaceship parts(whoopteedoo!)

although i'm greatful for finding weapons(here boy have a steak). what should've been done with chop was to have all of those minigames from the app implemented in the game itself.  you take chop for a walk and theres 3 coronas one in front near franklins house for the baller car protect minigame. one at the beach for the bikini snatch(ooh la la!) wouldn't be fun to see chop catching those frisbees in 3-d and last the courting the poodle mini game at the dog park in vinewood hills. all of those would've been more fun in 3d and we should've also had the ability to feed and train chop in the game instead of the app. speaking of the rockstar app we should've been able to buy custom plates at ls customs instead of having to use an app. the rockstar app was just pure laziness.

* Way more actual crime-based side activities. Drug dealing, weapons smuggling, robberies beyond just convenience stores and armored trucks, vehicle thefts, basically pretty much everything that was already available in GTA IV. Trevor has several, but they're way too few, and Michael and especially Franklin need to be able to do some, too.

 

* Open up those interiors, and bring back the restaurants dammit!

 

* Give us more strip clubs and bars. It's so weird to me that LS only has one strip club you can go in. 

 

* The property management. This needs major help. One, let us go inside the buildings we buy. Two, let us do the missions at our own pace rather than introducing this game's version of "HEY NIKO IT'S ROMAN LET'S SHOOT SOME POOL" that's so much worse, because you can't even put your phone on sleep mode to avoid them, at least when I tried to (it's like they decided to include a feature that's exactly as annoying as everybody makes the friends system in IV out to be!). And three, fix the whole income system so that our investments feel worth it. 

 

* More safe houses. I know M, T and F each have their own homes, and I actually like that a lot, but come on, let us buy other houses that we may prefer over their default homes for one reason or another, or just to have places to crash all over the map. And on Trevor's side, let us keep the beach condo after "Hang Ten". I really liked having a place for him to crash on the beach, and didn't like the Vanilla Unicorn half as much. And how twisted would it be for him to keep that place for his own after, uh, evicting the previous residents? 

 

* Let us get any hair style at any barber shop. I think Trevor looks best with the Big Mustache and like to get it for him ASAP, and it's annoying to have to drive all the way to LS just to get it. I can understand clothing shops selling some clothes and not selling others, but hair styles are hair styles. I hated this in San Andreas, and now I hate it here.

 

* Bring back character perks for doing hangouts, that makes it well worth doing them. And make them available more often. It seems like half the time I try to hang out with someone, they say "No, we've got sh*t to do". But yeah, I can think of Franklin having gang member backup and out-of-the-trunk weapons sales from Lamar, Trevor getting maybe the locations of all collectibles on the map from Ron, and Michael... I dunno, getting a discount at Burger Shot from Jimmy? I'm working on it :p

 

* This one's minor, but let Michael hang out with Tracey. It's so weird to me that she's the only De Santa you can't hang out with as him, and yeah she'd be limited by the activities he'd be willing to take her to, but no more than Jimmy already is, and I think it'd make for some conversations that develop more of their relationship (Tracey is the only one to contact him when they move out, after all). I guess you could make the case that she doesn't want anything to do with him, but neither does Jimmy, and you can hang out with him. It's just weird to me.

they really could've done more with the sea . it was used mainly for exploration and finding easter eggs. there were missions that used the seas and waterways like hood safari and derailed with the water chase rail shooting sequence and daddies little girl etc but online has so many missions with action taking place on the seas and water ways that its a shame that  the story didn't pit us against bad guys in boats and dinghys so much. also I don't recall any missions that took us to the sewers like a lot of online missions except for  the vangelico heist.

The cops in this game are pretty realistic. I live in Southern California and not only do the LSPD look just like the LAPD, they use the same tactics. Two men to a squad car, one with his sidearm and the other with the cruiser's shotgun. They take cover behind the doors as that's the only "cover" afforded in that situation. When more are on scene, they will attempt to encircle you and look for vantage points. They even repeatedly shout "Drop your weapon!" just like the real deal. Of course they also shout insults but that's R*'s touch. The only things the LSPD and County Sheriff need are stun guns at 1-star wanted levels and rifles. Stun guns are in this game. Why not use em? When you kill enough LSPD and LSSD, they should start showing up with rifles like they do at the airport. Regular cops have access to rifles just like SWAT. 

NOOSE needs fixing. Three men to an SUV? Really? If sh*t got real enough for SWAT to get called out, there would be four men to an SUV, all with carbines, SMGs and shotguns, and maybe two-four extras hanging off the sides. It would be a lot more brutal that way. 

Bring back the FBI/FIB. Seeing the men in bad leisurewear with aviator shades pulling up in their all-black cars was badass in the most unlikely way in the previous games. 

Huge off-mission rampages and havoc should make the news and have stingers during commercials. Why would anyone ignore the maniac with the rocket launcher who just blew up 50 cop cars and civilians?

There should be a wanted system for when you've lost your wanted level that hangs over your head just like Red Dead Redemption had, where until you paid it off or collected a Bribe, you'd be randomly ambushed by FIB agents, Marshals, undercover cops and maybe even spec ops guys like Navy SEALs if you caused enough mayhem.

And finally, the military need to get called out on a SIX STAR wanted level. Maybe not with tanks. That would be too unrealistic. But in Barracks OLs loaded with troops and Crusaders out the ass. If a situation ever arose where the cops and even SWAT couldn't handle the fighting, the National Guard and even the military really would get called in. It's not unrealistic. It's either laziness or trying to baby the player.

Nope. It's crazy they never bothered to fix these things even though they were well documented before the game even released on CG.
