RDO was a mess.
RDR2O will be a mess, with micro transactions.

You won't be able to unlock new weapons without winning horse races. You won't be able to win horse races without stuffing your horse with horse pills. You won't be able to buy horse pills for anything less than 500k.

Trolls with explosive rifles will have you feeling all nostalgic as they OHK you from clear across the map.
For something entirely new they'll release Armored carriages with Gatling guns on them that only need a single 12 yr old to operate. Or a Wright brothers style plane that drops bombs, and includes a free animal mask and neon bodysuit.

It's going to be a humongous piece of sh*t.

More reason to worry: http://www.gamesindu...itle-every-year

"Obviously we know what Rockstar tends to do. And Rockstar's activities have been transformed by Grand Theft Auto Online."

Meh, if rumours are true that 25% of Rockstar North are working on GTA online it's always possible that team gets shifted to Red Dead Online while San Diego works on DLC.

Oh you mean like the rest of Rockstar North did the SP DLC for GTAV?

Keeping my head down 'till the smoke clears. Leave my judgments until we get some actual info on the game itself.

Anything that's lacking shouldn't be because they concentrated more on one side, but because they didn't allow for complete development of both sp & mp as separate living and breathing masterpieces.

At what developmental stage do you close the door between the two, so each can work on their creation? At what manpower count per side ensures the fine tuning process ends on both sides simultaneously? What changes do the mp side need to be informed of when the sp side decides to make changes?

I can only imagine the headaches and frustration this begets the team. It's probably like fusing together a cat and a dog. Into a cadog.

Only single player, not an option. Only multiplayer, I sincerely hope that's never an option. But I can certainly see the difficulties derived. But, by R*'s very nature, they've proven themselves to travel a road less travelled. To embrace the most difficult way up the mountain. And we can all likely agree on their ability to be brilliant tacticians. I just hope they refine this process and become outliers on this front, too. Masters of cadogs! :)

Or a Wright brothers style plane [...]

But then it wouldn't even fly.

Yeah it would. Wright Brothers > Dumont.

microtransactions only for cosmetical items are ok for me.  better than payable DLCs that split the community.

i dont want to be able to buy weapns and enhancments with microtransactions...   GTA:O with microtransactions for clothings/skins only would have been a better game!

The GTA:Online multiplayer model is quite good. The only problem with it is that R* got greedy and with each new update, the prices got bigger and bigger.

Considering shark cards success through GTAO, I'm not even surprised at this. Why would I be lmao.

Hopefully the gameplay is unique and different feeling enough in multiple scenarios to justify grinding that's all I'm hoping.
