Don't get me wrong - I'm not particularly bothered by it (plenty of ways to circumvent it). But I really feel like it's kind of doing more harm than good.

So in the old days the argument was usually that it kept jet griefers in check. All the VIP/CEO work though, meant that you could easily blow up cars without any of it. Even before that, jets weren't exactly stopping - that they gave us an explosive sniper says all you need to know on how many jets were rampant.

Talking of that, well we now have a way to defend against them. An explosive cannon with more range than any aircraft or attack vehicle has.

Probably the biggest thing though, is that we now have all these armed and armoured vehicles as PVs. Back in the old days, a car simply having some armour on it was enough to make it universally hated (the Kuruma). Yet an APC, flying bike with missiles, etc. can have 20K insurance?

Like I said in the first sentence; don't get me wrong. I'm not starting any movement to get it gone or anything lol. It's easy enough to start CEO work to circumvent it. I just think ... You know, it's not that "unsporting" to use an RPG on an APC that's trying to kill you, or a bike that's floated up to you with missiles.

Vibes?

Get rid of it. I thought it was a flawed and stupid idea from day 1.

Now, it truly is a flawed and stupid idea. If you're attacking me, why in the utter f*ck should I pay for defending myself? More money schemes.

More importantly. Bad sport needs to be removed from the game. Getting bad sport for blowing up an APC is beyond stupid, I'm fine with paying insurance. But giving bad sport points for blowing up an armored, weaponized vehicle trying to kill you is dumb.

It use to have a purpose, but not anymore.

Seriously, you shouldn't have to pay for blowing up things like the APC or Oppressor bike.

Been gone on pc for ages, it's one of the very short list of things modders have been good for asides from money drops.

Man have you been living under a rock? you only pay for your own vehicle when you destroy it, you don't pay for destroying other people's vehicles since like 5 months now.

And yeah, i would also remove it from personal vehicles too, it's just a money drain.

That's only on PC. On console it's the same as ever.

I think yes, Hunter, insurance should go. On PC it's in even worse condition than on consoles and that's annoying as hell: blow up your PV and pay up, blow up entire lobby and walk away smiling.

I think the initial idea was sound as a way to deter griefers. But as stated in the OP, several players have found loopholes to avoid this and continue anyway.

Plus, there's always been those for whom their bank account is so high the costs are insignificant or those who do take the hit, but the sense of satisfaction is greater.

So ultimately it's been rather ineffective.

At this point it's just another drain on the bank like paying the operating costs for your various business, services and utilities.

It's just another bill, but far from a deterrent.

So yes, it's outlived it's purpose.

No need for it what-so-ever, especially now there's more out there to blow each other up and chase with... Killing players in cars that instigate fights is a pain in the arse, much like when idiots park in by the laptop in the Los Santos connection...

Daft, never cared if my cars get blown, needless BS points too... And more frustrating that friends trying my cars out have to pay potentially $30k for a crash...

KInda like it currently works on PC is actually great.

Only need to pay if you destroy it yourself.

I swear, pc might be sh*tty atm, but if there is one thing that is great about it it is the fact that you can blow up people their vehicles regardless.

The weaponized vehicles have f*cking insurance!?

They have an insurance, but if you destroy them (if they attack you for exemple, and you try to defend yourself.) You get some bad sport point because "it's bad to destroy a Personal Vehicle." (Even if it's an armored and weaponised one.) But if they destroy your buzzard, they just go and smile because it's a pegasus vehicle. Armored and weaponised vehicles (as the armored kuruma,  DoD, APC, Armored Tampa, etc) mustn't have an insurance if you bloww them.. and more of all, you mustn't have some bad sport point to defend yourself, that's beyond stupid..

Bounties by stealing cars are also outdated. I wish I could have Franklin's ability of stealing cars without smashing the window, maybe after a mission or completing a task.

I think it should still be on the standard vehicles but maybe at a lower rate so that it's more of a mild annoyance and it should always occour even if people are doing CEO/MC jobs. It should be part of the cost of doing business. When it comes to any military style vehicle it shouldn't be on them, it's not fair for people defending themselves

It used to be a good way to fight tanks before they got nerfed. You used to be able to drive your cars into the tanks on purpose and get blown up. The player in the tank had to pay insurance for destroying it. lol Back years ago that is.

Insurance doesn't stop me from destroying PV's either with a CEO mission or in general. It's pretty much pointless at this point.

For my part I've already be in bad sport many time and last time was .. like .. 2 month of bad sport lobby.. next will be 4 (the time double even time.) And I was only defending myself against Armored Kuruma.. so .. with all this new vehicles I can only try to run because I don't really want to be throw away for 4 month in bad sport lobby..
