Having a nice meal, last night I had burgers washed down with beer. Tasted so good.

Fiction....

Man, really just escaping from things.  Star Trek, the movies, shows, especially Star Trek Online... and yes, weed.

Music used to be great, but lately it just helps me to remember how sad I am missing my ability to create it any more.    Oy... nothing makes me happy except pretending the real world doesn't exist.

I'm almost in the same boat as Alien. Fiction. Well, more like Fantasy, but still - its still fiction.

Digimon, dragons, phoenixes, fancy ol' weaponry (i.e swords, axes etc), fan-fiction (depends tho)..... the list is long. But dragons CERTAINLY win. The whole reason why I bought Skyrim was "rumor has it this game contains dragons....".

Boxing, Fitness and working to have a great body.
Getting a hair cut that compliments my face.
Taking my shirt off and pose in the mirror then get my Darth Maul Light sabre (battle damaged) and feel the power of the dark side.
Flavoured Teas such as smoky suchong lapsang, spicy chai, love twinmings tea bags.

Yeah, it's all fantasy for me too, not so much elves and hobbits (i love GoT) but any fantasy to take me away from this nightmare hellscape in which my corporeal body now exists.

a thing that works 100% of the time here, it's organic vegetables homemade soup. the one your grandma, your mother, or you would do (not the industrial stuff). when there are big pieces, with a few of olive oil inside. doing 125cc scooter without T-shirt in summer or spring in south of France, or in Corsica works pretty well too (careful with this though, careful with skin cancer ;))

- Doing something simple like holding a door open(I am Canadian, we do it all the time ) for someone and them saying thanks

- Sourcing a vehicle and having it not blown up by other players(both in-game and irl)

When I walk my dog, I get closer to him as if I was about to jump on him like a predator and he looks at me with shining eyes then starts running everywhere to play with me.

My dicc

I second this.

Deadite's dicc makes me happy too.

On a serious note, just the usual stuff like music, food, videogames and being lazy. Completing a chore like mowing the lawn and then having still half a day left to sit in my room undisturbed to game. Peanut butter toast and nesquik chocolate milk. You can't beat that - pair it up with Youtube fail compilations and you're set. Also, compliments. Don't matter who you are, we all love compliments. Want to make someone's day? Compliment them. Say they look great or talk about something they did in positive light. That can really cheer someone up so being complimented really does it for me.

Awesome thread! I love this. Such a simple idea that everyone can pitch in and contribute to.

Compliment done. Man, I'm good.

-This song, and Turbonegro in general.
Spoiler

A big hug to OCDee for dedicating the song to me a while back. :) I wonder how she knew that's my favorite song by them.

-Reading through the replies on my last two milestone threads. My favorite is this gif by Payne on my 3k. He's nodding his head in approval as if he's thinking: "Well done, Achlys, I'm so proud of you." Yeah, I'm proud of myself, too.

-Speaking of threads that I'm proud of, it makes me happy when people agree with my top or bottom list of GTA protagonists. Although that's no longer an option since a certain sassy staff member deleted it. But I've also made top/bottom lists of characters from whatever other games, movies, tv shows, forums, etc, that people can agree on. :)

-Piña Coladas.

-Having an I love haters mentality, it makes life easier.

-When I come up with clever bad jokes, like this one.

When I play a flash game on the arcade section on a forums site I oftenly go to, become the new champion and can't remember anyone having made a so high score. When what's more making a decent score in the game looked like something impossible not too long ago I feel as proud as happy which is a wonderful sensation.

In no particular order...

Listening to music.

Drinking coffee.

Watch videos of my all-time favorite YouTuber, Robbaz.

Look at funny pictures.

Watch PBS. Shows that I watch on there are NOVA, Nature, Independent Lens, Frontline, Charlie Rose, Antiques Roadshow, and This Old House. A few others too but those are the main PBS shows that I enjoy most.

Watch Stephen Colbert's Late Show.

Fishing

Going on roadtrips

Making others laugh.

Talking to my father and grandparents either through text, a phone call, and or in person.

Watching stand-up comedy on tv or in person.

  • Gin and a good mixer drink to go with it.
  • Reading a good book.
  • discovering a good rock band that I didn't know existed.
  • spending an hour alone, no phone, no lights, just sitting in my chair at the end of my bed in darkness, think about life so far, reflect on the good and the bad and think of the future, with all the distractions of being with friends, family or even electronics (social Media and TV) its harder to reflect and to move forward.

Lol, this reminds me so much of a Jak X flash game I must've played about ten years ago. There was no official leaderboard or anything in sight, just a mention of a community member getting a so-and-so high score... and after some thorough trial-and-error gameplay, I finally beat it by about 7,000 points. Never received any acknowledgement for it IIRC, at least on the game page, but it felt good.

Maybe the game was so old and barren that nobody but me checked up on it anymore.

@jpm1, I go to the lakes here in my state and I mostly catch Bass and Sunfish (most commonly referred to as Perch in my state) and sometimes Crappie. Though the last time I went fishing was back in 2011. I plan on getting back into it though.

- Drinking nice coffee

- Stepping outside in the evening after it has been windy for most of the day and the wind has stopped. The sun is setting and everything is calm and warm enough to wear a t-shirt.

- Noticing the leaves on all the trees at the begging of summer

- Remembering a beloved item you have purchased the morning after, when you just woke up.

- Finishing your jobs for the day and knowing that you have nothing to do but relax to max, maybe with a film or a good game.

- Returning to a game you haven't played in a good while and experiencing the excitement of sitting down to play it again.

- Going to bed with fresh clean sheets after a nice showing at night.

- Being by the sea and smelling the fresh sea air.

- Coming home after not even that long and my dog acts like he hasn't seen me in ages. His ears go back, his tail wags like mad and he gets very excited.

- Waking up on your back, very calmly, giving the feeling that you woke up in the same position as you fell asleep.

Yes. This feels amazing. I also love waking up without any aching bones (from sleeping awkwardly) and feeling like I've been sleeping on a cloud.

You know that feeling waking up feeling loose and relaxed? :)

Playing Streets of rage remake 5 with Adam, Rudra or Shiva with the gore mode and a katana. When I'm surrounded by something like 8 enemies at the same time and I kill them in a 2 times 3 movements flawless victory.

I'm a bit late to this, but sleeping with a fan. Our a/c went out for good this past week and we got a new one. But in between I had to use a fan. Way better than sleeping without one. I fall asleep best when cold and a breeze is even better. It also helps that it's basically white noise which blocks out outside noises.

Pretty much this, whiling away the evening with headphones and a blank wall is really nice. Downloaded the trial for ableton live and been having fun messing around in that, before that it was fl studio and before that sibelius on the school computers, and opening up the music theory side of youtube, hooboy

Being alone in home, either drawing cartoons or making car textures for AC while listening to Pink Floyd or similar sh*t.

I wish I could enjoy thunderstorms, but here the constant concern of a power cut when it's raining kills all the enjoyment.

Oy... nothing makes me happy except pretending the real world doesn't exist.

The son, my Son:

I've found being in the sun can bring some happiness, it's true and it works.  Also watching my son create with legos, minecraft and his words... it's amazing.  Best thing out there.
