Hey.I am finally getting a copy of Grand Theft Auto 5 (for free from a friend) which is to be honest my dream game.I'll be getting it in a month but I have concerns.Minor,since I can't complain since I got the game for free.

I don't really know if my PC will be able to catch up with the game's requirements.

I currently play GTA 4 at minimal graphics without any specific editing in the game's files and it runs fairly great at 27-40 fps.

I have also Family Shared the game a time or two and it has a few difficulties in running.

I will list my specs below.Also,i will not be willing to download any mods because accidents happen and i may just forget to remove them before playing Online,if i am even able to play it,so therefore OpenIV is out of the question.

I'd really like suggestions on how to be able to play the game at around 29-35 or even 40 fps and i do not mind the frames being so low as my PC is very much used to running games at its minimum.I do not really know much about what to modify inside the game files,apart from a few tricks as commandline or editing specific lines in the settings.xml file,though i am scared to do so as a fear of a ban,even though I am not sure if it'll ban me or not.

SUGGESTIONS IN THE COMMENTS,HERE COME THE SPECS:

------------------General Specifications-----------------------

AMD Athlon™ II X2 245 Processor

Video Card

gta 4 and 5 run approximately same fps and need actually about same specs but gta 5 will be smoother due to being better port!

though gta 5 needs more memory and system this low can cause various malfunctions and phenomenons (have seen enough videos of gta 5 running on low systems) and modding is out of question for you it could simply crash when doing so!

Also will lag keep me from playing Online?
Because if lag was detected in GTA 4 you were kicked

it will get you killed more than others (you can't often see random attacker) and annoy crap out of everyone in session...nothing stropping you though if you can handle -10 fps lower than singleplayer.

well what can be said? just turn all option to the minimum and then keep making them higher, one by one. when you find the game unplayable you will know the limit. i would stay away from any AA

Oh,wait,I got an important question.

What would help more,the game being windowed or fullscreen?

As i have seen in some of my games that windowed helps but the opposite in others.

@OP

I had similar system. The only thing you need is a better video card (gtx 1060 ti 6gb) and a powersupply for a start then you can start saving up for the rest of the components you'll buy. That's what I did at least.

This is how my game ran with a GTX-750 TI 2GB. The fps was reduced on the video because I used fraps to record not shadowplay!

@Tengerecki

Yes,indeed I am getting a computer that may have the gtx 1060 and I'm planning to waste around 750 euros on the PC.

But while I am still waiting to get a new pc,I'm looking for a current solution :D

ALSO:

In GTA 4 multiplayer there was a thing where if you lagged too hard you'd be kicked from the session.

Does that exist in GTA Online?

(i already asked but didn't get it cleared out well)

Those specs should be fine if you can run IV well I suppose.

There's nothing stopping a performance lag from disconnecting you IIRC in V (unlike IV/TBoGT).

Also, if you end up lagging really bad (network wise) you will end up being split from the rest of the players. In certain cases like races and deathmatches such this means you will "win" by default (but you will not get the full reward because everyone else left).
