I don't see anything wrong with getting inspired by other gaming franchises and movies, as long as it isn't exact copypaste. We haven't gotten a true "new era" Fast and Furious inspired game and this seems to scratch that action itch. Not the biggest fan of the lastest movies but as a game, the concept is going to work well.

The obvious copypaste is The Crew's car system. I hope it isn't just lame copypaste but a strong inspiration at most. Gaming evolves, just like everything else so if Crew set a stone and NFS wants to step on that stone to reach higher, be my guest.

Hell, people used to call The Crew a NFS copy. When I tried the game myself a few months back, I said that it's the best NFS I've played in years :D

I'm still sceptical myself and not sure whether to buy or not. If the game is well executed, it shouldn't matter if it got inspired by other franchises as long as it still brings enough of it's own to the table. Almost every game on the market got inspired somewhere else.

NFS copy? Do you even TDU2 bro?

Anyways, the map does look very detailed and the gameplay seems to have improved since the last game, but I'd recommend at least waiting for a few final version gameplays since you can't really trust the graphics shown at a gaming convention. Just remember that 2015 was pretty incomplete in release, not even shipping with a sequential gearbox option, and its physics angered many many people. Now it's a case of seeing if EA has learned anything.

Supra's an ugly car anyway. It's rear is awful to look at.

Preordering games is a mistake nowadays. I'm surprised most people didn't learn their lession after No Man'll Buy. I'd at least wait until a few gameplays or reviews after the game's release, from actual players, not from some IGN journalist playing it from EA's headquarters being watched by a CEO.

I agree. The Supra has always been an iconic car to the series and it's certainly a tough pill to swallow for old time fans.

Blame Toyota, not EA/Ghost.

They don't want you having their cars in video games.

If you payed any attention Ghost has said repeatedly that there is an OFFLINE mode and you don't need an active internet connection to play. They have said this at least 30 times now.

By "Offline mode" I think something that can be played at 0 KBPS, and I just think a game that can be trully played with no connection wouldn't bother to put "Online connection requirements" on the system requirements... Scratched anyways.

It can be played at 0kbps... read this my friend https://www.google.c...-always-online. What they meant by online connection requirements is if you so choose to play online, those are the requirements needed to do so. You can throw your router at the wall and still play the game. :)

This is not nfs, this is Burnout 6

Burnout turned into a generic cheap/tacky free roam racer on PS3 so what even is Burnout anymore? Shame cuz Burnout was one of the best franchises on PS2.

I've said it before somewhere, Burnout and NFS should've been two seperate franchises. Not every NFS fan likes the crashes and Burnout fans would rather see a new Burnout game. Merging the franchises wasn't the best idea.
