Just when you think GTA V sales are starting to fade, or hit a ceiling in other words, the game comes back again to surprise.

The Top Three is dominated by the biggest gaming brands in the UK, with GTA V returning to No.3.

Top 10 this week (ending 6th Jan) in UK

1 FIFA 18
2 Call of Duty: WWII
3 GTA V
4 Assassin's Creed Origins
5 Star Wars Battlefront
6 The Sims 4
7 PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds
8 Super Mario Odyssey
9 The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
10 Forza Motorsport 7

http://www.gamesindu...ek-stay-at-no-1

The Doomsday Heist was probably one catalyst that drove the game's sales higher again. Oh man, the world and Online infrastructure that R* built have given them access to a high potential for a continued success of GTA Online, RDR2 Online and GTA VI Online later. The monopoly, the nonexisting competitors and the GTA brand. That leverage. I will just shut up.

Go TTWO! $15 Billion in market cap a week after earning, $18 Billion after RDR2 release, $20-21 Billion end of 2018. And possibly $30-50 Billion run up by 2020. Long Live TTWO!

Note: Nice new profile pic Efreet :D let keep it up, onward to $300.00!

The Top three are owned by the "Big 3" Greatness!

we really need good news right now.

RDR2 release date like planned would be the barrier braker to go beyond the all time high.

it is getting close: today in one week Im sure they will postpone the game to late August 2018 if there are no news till then

Worst part is that the new heist is made out of single player dlc gutted and made to work in gta online

It's not TTWO making moves alone, but instead the whole market and tech stocks in particular. These moves are normal after the bull run that we've seen during the past week. Profits being booked, stocks get pinned by market makers for call/put options to lose value and so on. In another topic, we should see NPD report for December sales next week. I can see NBA 2K18 to make it in the top 5 again, WWE 2K18 in the top 15 and GTA V in the top 10. The industry's YOY sales growth will be positive given the strong holiday season of 2017.

This is so ridiculous
https://finance.goog...YBdiAsAGF_b6QBQ

Kodak announced to release their own crypto currency and their shares jumped by 120%

After Long Island Ice Tea this is the second time this happens.
This behavior is really dangerous. I’m going so far that the next big international finance crisis will be started by crypto currencies crashing

T2 needs to announce that they've created an exchange system in Grand Theft Auto Online by which players can use their digital coins to buy shark cards. We could see +50% in one day, but nah, only beaten-up companies look for cheap methods to increase their market cap, and Kodak is one.

Exactly. In few months time Take-Two will be over-valued for a company that does $1-2 Billion annually. If they cross $20 Billion in market cap this year then that for sure, they well deserve it nonetheless.Onward to $300.00, TTWO!

Amazing. Expect the game to keep performing over the next year or two with more PS4s and X1s being sold. It's the must-to-have title for this generation of consoles so far, thanks to growing world of Grand Theft Auto Online. R* brand has evolved to new levels with this title and more causal players are now exposed to the brand, so this will work for the interest of Redemption 2.

50 million social media followers heck Nintendo is not even near. This is one of the reason I always see TTWO renaming to Rockstar(s) Interactive Inc. or Rockstar Company (ROCK also a cool ticker) with or without acquiring Zenimax or Capcom or THQ Nordic or others in the future (Plus both share HQs).

Note: I think it close to that number but nonetheless Rockstar have the largest social media following for a gaming company in the World.

Activision Blizzard is now the largest gaming company in history with a market cap of $52 Billion (that could become $120-150 Billion in 2028; imagine them buying EA or Take-Two: definitely becoming Disney of (Gaming) 21st Century).

I think Take Two will announce RDR2 delay in the first week of February.
They won’t do it like the last time.

New release probably August 2018. Also this is still in their Q2 of the FY I believe this will create negative momentum for Take Two. Rockstar is not able to release a new game in time which hints to other problems within the company than the actual „we want to make a perfect game“ story

A postponed release to Fall would create an 'irrational' dip that will be bought quickly before earnings. This chart shows the GTA V case when it was postponed to September. It dipped around 7% and rebounded the next day, and it broke out to a new ATH after earnings report on 4th Feb.

GTA ONLINE BREAKS ITS PLAYER RECORD, 4 YEARS AFTER RELEASE

Rockstar Games has announced that Grand Theft Auto Online has broken its player record, four years after the release of the game.

Where did R* talk about this? IGN making up claims? Anyway, it's true that Steam numbers have peaked to new ATH since the game launch, and the more popular console versions should've seen similar peaks.

Here: https://www.rockstar...Contact-Mission

''2017 was the biggest year of GTA Online yet, capped off by an epic December that saw more players in the game than ever before.''

''Thank you to all dedicated GTA Online players worldwide – and we’ve got more treats in store for you all in the weeks ahead including new modes to experience, and vehicles to collect and race – starting with a new beast unleashed today…''

So another RDR2 delay will not even affect Take-Two (TTWO) stock price. And SP Mobile ARPU (Average Revenue Per User) coupled with GTA Online, NBA 2K, Civilization VI will send the stock to a new ATH.

Oh, thanks Blood. If Red Dead is to be delayed, there could be another big update in work for the fourth quarter of the current fiscal year, but not on the scale of Doomsday Heist. I still dream of a new-city expansion, and if not for the current Online offering, hopefully it'd something to be realized for the next one, especially when building these detailed cities with their rich stories and gameplay mechanics now take so many years and thus leaving longer gaps between sequential releases. Grand Theft Auto Online is definitely a learning experience for R* to expand upon the concept and refine its mechanics.

Great times ahead for Rockstar, Take2 and the industry as a whole with video games have grown in popularity as a must-to-have entertainment outlet in every household.

Anytime brother. And Great comment(s) as always. Onward to $300.00, Take-Two (TTWO)

Note: OMG Take-Two or Take 2 or TTWO will be 25 this year, Rockstar will be their longest running game publishing label at 20, GTA IV also turns 10. What A Year.

It's mental that GTA V is 3rd tbh. I know digital distribution has grown massively on console and is like 50/50 at least these days but damn, 3rd. Though, it probably benefited from the fact that a bunch of the big multi plat games (Destiny 2, Battlefront) fell flat on their faces. Really impressive numbers for the Crash remake as well, bodes well for (good) future remakes of classics.

Rockstar buying the game using their UK-based studios? Hahah. I love this. It's undeniable that Grand Theft Auto Online is a success and the driver behind the strong sales that the game keeps seeing, and it's a testament to the leverage that R* has with this title as proven by their out-of-no-where Doomsday Heist update. I don't see a reason to end the support for the game, even after the release of Redemption 2. They have to keep both titles supported and lure players back and forth between the two, all the way until Grand Theft Auto VI announcement. One should suspect that Take2 commenting about ending the support for the game, or putting it to sleep to avoid franchise fatigue, was more of a tactic to moderate the expectations of shareholders, only then to surprise them with more.

Salute to Strauss and his team.

Holy Sh*t! Social Point just launch this

https://play.google....wDuLKgAaV-4vIDg

Note:Take-Two spent $250 million ($175 million cash) buying Social Point given them a leading mobile game developer/publisher and hit IPs in Dragon City and Monster Legends however if this new game become a massive hit then TTWO will have a victory lap at end of 2018. And League of Dragons already a hit in Spain and South America. And parent company will expand SP into Asia (China to be specific) and some acquisitions down the line.

FlatFX, Efreet: #1 in UK..I have an headache so I will not scream :D
