A great thing about the EXE is that it acts as both an installer and a compressed archive. If you choose to not run the EXE, you can extract it using 7-Zip.


I don't like Mods specially 4.0
EXE zip are no longer acceptable auto-installers?
This Mod 4.0 ruins the grandest game of the GTA series,
Liberty City or Vice City all Mods suck!

Can we all act against Mods, as responsible gamers!

Tried to launch game with this mod, and it crashes when the intro ends...

 

EDIT: Deleted the widescreen fix, and it got through the crash, like it didn't crash when the intro starts, then again, it still crashes in loadscreen, when I'm trying to start the game.

I'm kind of sad that many of you quoted his post. It's best to ignore nonsense posts like that.

If your game crashes, please provide a crash log if it is generated.

The Northern Lights mod doesn't seem to work unfortunately. It seems like the mod exceeded the limit on the number of particle effects the game can add into the world.

I'm unsure why it's crashing at that location. Does the base VC game also crash? Did you try installing LC again? Are III's audio files transferred over? Did you add anything else that wasn't part of the mod?

But after doing the rest it works!  There
isn't as much traffic or as many peds as in "III" but it looks good!

What about putting a file gta3.ini inside the root folder with values

1.0
1.0

it may increase the density.

vc_traffic.asi messes with the traffic density a lot so gta3.ini might not work. In the base game, the file doesn't seem to increase the traffic to the extent of III even if you use the maximum value of 3.0.

I believe the handling is same as the regular cheetah. However the vehicle entry for Police Cheetah is vicechee unless it was changed in recent versions.

  Update:
  The data > handling.cfg line for the Vice Cheetah, which appears at three
wanted stars, is CHEETAH.  If you give it a -1 for percent submerged (column I)
you can use the gimmick of driving it off one side of the broken Callahan Bridge
and it will go through blue hell and appear on the other side of the bridge.
The Emergency Vehicle Crane takes it for the emergency vehicle collection.

 

  Is the FBI Washington in the LC mod?

 

  When I tried using the "Arms Shortage" gimmick of having Claude push the locked

Rhino to his Staunton garage it caused a vehicle it hit to explode--then the

Rhino exploded!?  I finally used handling.cfg to lighten the weight and had Claude

push it, mainly on sidewalks, to the Staunton garage and saved it. I worried about

him driving it to the EV crane--what if it blew up and wasted him?  I had him carefully

take it to the EV crane and the Rhino from the pickup there reacts normally to vehicle

explosions.

 

  I briefly gave it a 0.00 for (Y) fCollisionDamageMultiplier.  Could that cause the

Rhino to explode when hit?

 

  Also, I now get a game freeze once Claude gets back to land in "A Drop in the

Ocean."  Update: I completed it without the freeze.

@NOskillx, thanks for sharing your gameplay video of the mod.

@glenster, the FBI Rancher doesn't make a physical appearance so it's not required for the EV crane. The Caddy also doesn't make a physical appearance. The FBI Washington is replaced by the FBI Car. The Rhino in general is not collision-proof. Lowering the damage multiplier will cause it to get damaged more easily when colliding.

If you want, you can spawn Caddy or FBI Rancher in traffic by changing their "Class" value in default.ide from "Ignore" to "Executive" for example. BTW, Spaceenstein, how about parking VC cars somewhere as a reward for 100% completion?

I thought the lower the damage multiplier in III or VC the less the chance of damage (?).

 

Has anything besides "Airport Aggression" been added to the missions you need to complete for 100%?

My mistake, you're right about the damage multiplier. I don't know why your Rhino blew up so easily. The extra missions are "Alleys and Angels" (Angel at 8-Ball's), "College Tour" (Sanchez in construction pipe), and "Airport Aggression" (PCJ 600 at the airport).
