Why is it winter in Liberty City during Saint Mark's Bistro mission while it's summer in San Andreas and while it was summer in Liberty City even during The Introduction movie? I've always been wondering it.

Probably to show the modders they can create a winter mod.

In the garage in Doherty, there is a calendar showing the month as January, so snowfall in Liberty wouldn't be unheard of at all. I'm not sure if it's visible during regular play or you have to use a trainer/glitch to access the interior, but it is there. There's no indication of what season the game takes place in, other than varied weather effects.

I don't think Rockstar just wanted to show they could create a winter atmosphere.

But what was Rockstar's point to make a summer atmosphere in San Andreas and even in Liberty City during The Introduction, but a winter atmosphere in Liberty City during Saint Mark's Bistro?

Well, it is visually different. It's not something we'd seen before. Plus, missions were planned to take place in Liberty City so to add snow would add a degree of variety. We wouldn't see snow during a mission until nearly 10 years later.

I'd say that it's a simple representation of Liberty City being in Northern Hemisphere or somewhere in the colder part of GTA Universe, compared to San Andreas which might be in the opposite part of the world.

LOL you do realise that the whole of North America is in the Northern Hemisphere, including Southern California ? That means that San Andreas and Liberty City are both in the Northern Hemisphere ha ha !!

But luckily I get what you were trying to say. On topic, who the f*ck cares why, that's just what the weather was like at the time.

So how many days have passed since Carl arrives in Los Santos, and later when he flies to Liberty City?

However fast you can technically reach that point, and how much you do in between. If you were literally going from mission to mission and not failing/dying, not very long at all.

The whole USA lies in Northern Hemisphere. Secondly, one can observe snowfalls in SFO, for sure. If there was snowfall in LC, it must snow in SFO too.

Because CJ is a very very slow flyer. It took him 6 months going to Liberty City and 6 months getting back.

No certain reason. For the same reason it's deserted in LV and green in Red County.

Because CJ is a very very slow flyer. It took him 6 months going to Liberty City and 6 months getting back.

In 1992 when Claude helped CJ in the
Marco's Bistro Mission of cap'n
the Forelli's.
CJ had to stay in Liberty city to
wait for Joey Leone order to eliminate the Forelli's with Claude Speed drawing out the plans,it took
Claude several months to stage the
turf war.
The CJ Liberty city mission became
immortalize as a GTA3 mash up.

The events of San Andreas takes place in winter, that's why there's snow in Liberty City and in San Andreas (California) it's always sunny (no winter there).

GTA SA takes place in Winter (January, according to a calendar). San Andreas is supposed to be the gta counterpart of California, meaning its a very hot place and it almost never snows. Liberty City on the other hand, is supposed to be New York. New York is a very cold place, especially in the winter. New York can snow even during March at times. So even if it was a few months passed from the first mission to CJ going to Saint Marks,it would still make sense for it to snow. As for it not snowing in the Introduction movie, that was probably just one of those days where it wasn't snowing in Liberty City.
