I do, and I made a video expressing my thoughts on the subject:

Thoughts?

I found them a fun side mission if nothing else, but the novelty did wear thin after a few nights. Couple the lack of variety in goods with the lack of unique events (disturbed residents being the only one I recall) and you're left with something that's more Metal Gear Soft than Metal Gear Solid.

It's nostalgic though, because it's one of the first things I did in the game.

It is something to do, to get the Infinite Sprint.  Before starting any missions. Along with the Fire Fighting missions.

I would not do it after the first though. Although I have read that in the "Richer" homes guns and mix masters can be found.

I'll be honest, I didn't really take it too far from spawn. I found it easier and more efficient to hit several homes in a row quickly starting on Grove Street and working my way towards the gym and back again. I'm basing that on personal experience, so maybe if some numbers were crunched a more profitable route could be calculated.

No, not really. I did finish the mission where you need to rob someone's house for weapons, but I don't like the burglary missions in general.

It's not disagreeable to do but I haven't played it again for a long time.

I kinda agree.

It is quite enjoyable and fun for the first few that you complete, but after a while the novelty quickly wears off. What didn't help was the lack of decent rewards. There should be instance where you could find large amounts of cash stashes, jewellery etc, the kind of stuff to make it worth more of your time in the game. Most of what you steal to sell later on only brings in very petty amounts of cash, it doesn't leave much desire to keep doing them.

But its great to do at the start of the game to give CJ that feel of his daily grind, working right at the bottom in the lowly depths of the LS criminal food chain on his way to the top.

i shoplifted my first copy of san andreas lmao, burglary missions were great fun at the start of the game when you had low cash and a cool thing to do when you first unlocked a new city imo, a way to see the sights and that

It's a nice side mission to pass some time but nothing worth Mission. It gets boring over the time as well. For a long time I couldn't figure out where the Boxville was parked though.

The big houses in Las Venturas were the most fun to rob. I really think this could have made a fantastic stand-alone idea. When Rockstar was all about repping "AGENT", I thought maybe that would have similar aspects. But we all remember how that went.

Home Invasion Boxville getaway, the item rewards sucks .
I hate. burglary missions , Beat the Cock seems better option, cos u get $20000 reward.

The train-driving and pimp missions are funnier.

Back in the day... was a funny side mission and it is nostalgic for me because was one of the first things that I did in the game with "Home Invasion". Was a pain in the ass to find the burglar Boxville in San Fierro and Las Venturas though.

When it comes about robbing people I largely prefer doing it the Vice City way.

They were alright, but got repetitive and tedious after a while. Agree with Evil empire. Much prefer the store robberies in Vice City.

The idea of burglary in the beginning was cool as I needed money, but as more lucrative options were available, the burglary missions, quite naturally, became the least preferred choice for me.
I think it was fine the way it was. It worked as a side mission for Ryder, and an interesting experience into the past, when gang members were heavily involved in property crimes like burglaries in LA. Since CJ moves on, owning properties, and businesses, I couldn't imagine him stealing houses later. To remedy this problem, Rockstar could have turned burglary into property related tasks on a weekly basis, after the story is complete, where you could appoint homies based on various districts, and type of houses to steal. Though I don't know how CJ could be actively involved?
I don't find burglary missions to have that potential for further expansion, because by their very nature they are primarily aimed towards stealing stuff, and its more relevant in the beginning than later parts, and after you complete the story, when the whole purpose of making money, and partake in crimes, are replaced by much more interesting, and better options.
Good thing though, after you complete the story, you can still do burglaries whenever you like.

But, like I said, I don't see the point in expanding the feature further than it deserved to be.
