Come to think of it, I was much more excited waiting for IV to come out than I was with V. With IV, I'd never been so excited in my life for a video game to be released, I can still remember buying every video game magazine going with any updated IV news, and I was checking online literally every day for latest IV news there too.

Watching that "GTA IV is better than GTA V" video always puts me in the right mood.

Did GTA V ever recover from that?
Someone tried to make a rebuttal video, but it just couldn't compare. The fact that the "GTA V is better than GTA IV" video is about half the length of the original, and has nearly the same amount of likes and dislikes, kinda says a lot. 😂

When IV came out my PC was not able to run it properly (It still isn't (kinda)), so I remember watching BenBuja's "Bloopers, Glitches & Silly Stuff" and "Stunt Montage" series, by the time he was still in Machinima (I don't think if he still is) and some of Yeardley Diamond's older videos.

The "GTA V is better than GTA IV" video was only made for damage control because the original exposed everything where GTA V went backwards.

It was never going to have the same sting.

I think everyone saw that already, but in case you're lazy and wants to see it or remember:

(Detail: Look at the views and like-dislike ratio)

Edit: That GTA IV kick at 1:06 on the first video looks awfully painful...

Sometimes just playing GTA V does it. I really don't care about the characters only a bit for M because his family is awful, you should be able to "kill" Jimmy without paying for the hospital.

It's a shame the game is unplayable now ...games for windows live :sigh:

I really miss the airport shenanigans in free roam...and cars that don't quite 'grip' the road

Almost 10 years later and this music still gets me the chills and reminds me of the sad way this epic game ended no matter what you choose.

The atmosphere of this game was also great.
It was always refreshing to have a break from the very gritty and mostly depressing tone of GTA 4 and TLAD.
