Since there was no discussion thread for this underrated video game series, I'd thought I should make one myself.

Yo-kai Watch is a monster-collecting series, developed by Level-5 who are known for Fantasy Life, Inazuma Eleven and Professor Layton. The game revolves around Nate, an average kid who discovers the power to communicate Yo-kai based off of Japanese culture by the power of his Yo-kai Watch.

The first game was released in Japan back in 2013, but it didn't reach western shores until November 6, 2015 which was the release date in North America. The game is a big hit in Japan and Europe, and their love for Yo-kai Watch goes leaps and bounds.

The series is also known for it's catchy songs, such as the infectious Gera Gera Po or the Yo-kai Excercise song, that usually plays at the credits. Those songs also became so popular in Japan, they even made a Just Dance game because of it.
