Bought GTA V to my PS3 recently. When inserting the disc and starting the game it begins installing. But it only reaches about 237 MB of 8486 MB... anyone know what to do?

I had this exact issue
If Space on your hard drive is not the issue, or cleaning the disk does not correct the problem...
Check to see if the disk is scratched.
If that is not the problem then hold the disc up to A bright light Look for very tiny pinholes or even Minoot scratches that the light is coming through...
If you see any, this means that the game data on the disk Is damaged and will not install
I especially recommend you do so if you bought your game used
This tends to happens when buying used games, hence the reason why I rarely do so
Companies that resell games hardly ever teach employees to check for such small defects such as these Basically they only look for major damage done to the desk like deep scratches or gouges

If none of these appear to be the issue then you may have A disk read problem on your PlayStation If that is the case you will have to get in touch with Sony or an authorized repair dealer

...Hope this helps and best of luck to you

Being banned would have nothing to do with installing
...And considering the fact that he didn't come back and reply I'm assuming that one of the things that were mentioned as advised by the members Of this forum address the issue
