GTA IV On GTX 1060 3gb...

So i got my new computer with a great i5 processor and asus gtx 1060 dual oc 3gb and GTA IV lags on max settings...

I think that iv is supposed to work on 1060 so does anyone know fixes?

GTA IV is a poorly optimised game. There isn't much you can do..

Try searching for a commandline and make one for your specs. It's not that hard and it allows the game to use your system to the max.

Damn Rockstar messed up their one of the best games!

 

Nvm tried one and nothing :(


And btw update to everyone... My gta 5 works at ultra settings so i don't get this sh*t!!!

Playing with patch 8 should be fine. But it won't fix sh*tty optimization nor LOD flickering.

GTAIV is a notoriously unoptimized game. You need a very powerful CPU to run it at max settings, since the game relies much more on the CPU than the GPU. The settings that affect FPS the most are the slider options (draw distance, etc). Reduce those to about 50 and you should be okay.
