I know is hard to develop a mobile app but how about a GTA F App ?
I'm sure GTA F Mobile users would enjoy + it could expand GTA F community a bit
GTA F Mobile App

Why the need to develop a dedicated app that isn't necessary, when a book mark in your mobile browser is more than sufficient? Any app would be little more than a link to the mobile site anyway.

I think an app would be more comfortable rather than going to your browser

Sorry I didn't know that
We had a thread for this, they said no.
Well sometimes the browser give you some strange errors and in my opinion having an app for GTA F would make the Mobile users experience more enjoyable
I think the Mobile Theme is fairly good for browsing the forum. Having a separate app would be a hassle. What extra functionality would that provide over the current Mobile Theme?
Also on browser you have to chose between 2 options
1 Normal Version which is kindoff outdated
2 Full veersion which is good but sometimes seems a bit off let's say

Are you offering to code the mobile app for both Android and IOS?

There already is a mobile version of this forum.
We used to have the same thread as this.
I don't think it's necessary, mobile version is good enough. Making an app would just waste additional time from.... Oh, who would create it BTW?

I'm fine if you don't wana make an app
I just give a suggestion
But let's say that someone not from GTA F want to make an app , would you guys support him ?

Thanks for the suggestion It's probably not going to happen, just because we have other things on our priority list right now. The mobile skin works good enough, and once we upgrade to IPB4 (we will eventually) then that'll bring even more improvements for mobile browsing. An app might be cool but it's not something anyone has time to dedicate to, especially when it's not really needed in the first place.

Considering that mobile users are on top 2 on "Browsing GTA Forums Devices" an app might not be so bad for mobile users
But yeah maybe for now a browser would be enough although the experince is pretty bad

There's no difference between using the mobile theme or an app as a user. The worse side of the deal is actually for the staff who browses on mobile.

You can still use it on your broswer, so there is no need for this.

That said, none of the problems I've encountered can be fixed by the staff, short of coding their own mobile os, their own browser, their own board software, or possibly all of the above.
Correct me if I'm wrong here, because maybe this isn't ALWAYS the case, but aren't most apps of the type describe just basically wrappers for an existing browser (or part of one) anyway? For all intents and purposes a browser, dressed up as if it weren't one, limited to just one site, with all the problems (and possibly more) of whatever browser you currently use, as well as having less functionality? Because that seems like an exercise in stupidity to me.
That said, stupid seems to be what lots of people (especially mobile users) seem to want nowadays. Something you already have, only worse, and dressed up like it's somehow different. Maybe there's some kind of easy, open source, idiot proof tool you can use to make one of these horrible things, then slap some ads in there and let them pay for their stupidity.
Step 4: profit?
