I just watched whatever that was last night.

Yes. Obama was a wonderful President and I desperately want him back.

This is really my opinion but he was a ok president he had some good points and did a lot of great things. But that whole Obama Care sh*t was awlful every person I met who had it said that they would be better off without it becuase it cost more than the hospital.

Uh, you haven't met many people then. The ACA was far more beneficial than whatever was in place before it, and will be in place after it. Get informed, frendo.

Obamacare was pretty awful, objectively, but is still better than what Trump is trying to replace it with. Let's not forget the whole reason Obamacare is a ridiculous farcical compromise is because the Republicans pulled a massive hissy fit at the notion of public medicine, deeming it "socialist". Let's ignore the fact that pretty much any European country you care to name has better standards of care than the US and better survival rates for almost all major aliments, cancers aside, than the US whilst sending on average half as much per capita on healthcare.

By that measure, Lincoln should be the worst President, since the two Presidents he is juxtapositioned by are consistently ranked as the two worst Presidents. Indeed, they seem to compete among historians for being the worst.

Buchanan for so obliviously missing the civil war was happening and doing nothing to prevent it. Johnson for completely mishandling the Reconstruction policy and being impeached.

Obama never campaigned on it, and many Democrats joined in destroying it (I think it was the senate finance committee that dumped the plan). I'd say Obama didn't make big enough of an effort to make it happen. He should've made it a central issue of his campaign, and used much more pressure to make it happen. But he was to an extent in the pockets of the insurance companies, so it isn't very surprising.

By that logic, then King Idrees I is sh*t because Qaddafi (the very reason why Libya's ongoing through a civil war, mind you) later caused a coup and took over the country. Even though, y'know, comparing the King to Qaddafi is like comparing GTA to Skyrim.

Nice straw man. Anyway, them's your words. If you don't want people read "Obama is a bad president because of who followed him" as an endorsement of Trump, you should probably choose your words better.

I read that to mean Obama set the stage for Trump's brand of right-wing populism with his lacklustre performance, not as an endorsement of Trump. Thought TheFrank has never bothered to give a detailed explanation of what he believes on any issue (or make a post longer than one sentence) and I have no idea where he stands, so who knows.

Without getting into a HUGE ordeal, I feel that Obama was more or less a C grade president. I do not see him as the best, especially after the Snowden stuff and how the ACA turned out ultimately, even if he was not 100% responsible. After Bush he was a godsend since that man was a tool, but I still feel he could have done more to get over his obstacles, even if those stubborn Republicans that made it hard for him were a big one.

Though I will say as a person, man was oozing charisma, he was just one cool dude. Say what you will about his politics, but you have to admit, a leader that openly admits that after a big political event to go see the new Star Wars is awesome and adorable.
