Just wondering if these textures are normal or bugged. GTA Vice City v1.0 + Widescreen Fix + SilentPatch, Win 10 Pro, 4xSGSSAA

Notice how the textures of the entrance look bugged:

And how at 05:00 they go from bad to even worse:

Some more:

I even tried official patch v1.1, disabling SGSSAA and other settings in Nvidia Control Panel/Inspector, with and without Widescreen Fix and SilentPatch but the result is still the same. Has it always been like that?

IMO that's a widescreen fix bug...

Well, as I posted below the last screenshot, it is not Widescreen Fix related. I did a complete uninstall and re-install of Vice City, ran the game without Widescreen Fix or any sort of modification/hack/fix/... etc. and the problem is still there in both original untouched v1.0 and v1.1. It must be something else.

I even tried looking up some older Vice City clips on YouTube -even from the PS2 version- to see if it already occured at that time, but it's quite hard to find the exact location in those clips and the video quality isn't great either.

Still looking for a confirmation or even better, a solution.

They look exactly the same here with a setup similar to yours.

Thanks for the comparison shots, monq! I appreciate that.

@ Neo: very interesting, thanks. Unfortunately the download link has expired. The link below your post with some other fixes by TJGM and Inadequate has also expired. Is there perhaps a 'complete pack' available with fixes?

Ive been playing ViceCity on and off for years and strange graphics and odd stuff happening seems to be normal.

I play it on PC and im playing it at the moment, mine has a bug where i can walk into cars and push them, i cant reverse either. I can use reverse but the car crawls very slowly backwards.

I also found one time the cars where all too low down and scrapped themselves on the floor so you couldnt move very fast.

Ive never had an issue with widescreen but right now im using a 17inch crt.

Go to display settings and enable the frame limiter.

Something is interfering with your game then. The framerate should be locked at 30 fps, otherwise the game starts acting funny. At 1000 fps the game looks completely retarded.

If enabling the "frame limiter" option doesn't do it, you might want to make sure there's nothing wrong in your GPU settings. As a last resort, you could use an external application to lock the game at that framerate.

Is there any working link/download available with these and perhaps even more fixes?

Of course... in this first post:

It's a bitch to install, but if you have 2 free hours, you'll enjoy better textures, I guess 8-)
