If you're using version 1.0.4.0 then why are you posting this here?

Why couldn't you just start your own support topic for this? This has literally nothing to do with the patch.

So we can consider this patch to have better performance than 1.0.4.0.? In my PC it did a miracle *.*

Well, I thing I've got a problem. When I install some vehicle mods for police and police 2, taxi bug appear. It would be reasonable, if it wasn't because I installed vanilla non els mods... any clue?

I assume it's because of the file size of the vehicle mods. Get one of NTAuthority's fixes like RIL Budgeted or Taxi Fix or whatever it was called.

If you're using IV 1.0.8.0 or EfLC 1.1.3.0, use ThirteenAG's fork.

This was a weird one. Some people claim they're getting way more FPS than before and some claim it's lagging a lot. Mine runs a bit smoother, but I'm sticking with .7.0 because of mods.

Is the Vanilla IV patch cummulative for the 6th upgrade? Same question for EFLC v1.1.0.0.

So, what are the list of fixes with 1.0.8 patch?

I mean list of fixes that still need to be applied. Did someone fixed zooming in cutscenes ?

Limit to 50 FPS via NVIDIA Profile Inspector.

I see. So limiting to 30fps should also work right? Why 50 and not 60? R*....

So, not sure if this is the right place, but will it eventually possible get HD Mod of 1.0.8.0, and still play multiplayer? I personally can't stand the graphics in GTA 4, or at least the shading colour. I don't mind Vice City, Sand Andreas or even 3, but 4 looks kinda... too green grey and brown. To a point where I don't even want to play it that much without mods. I still prefer GTA 4 over 5, for story, rag doll physics, combat, and maybe even car physics, So I reaaaally want ENB or Icenhancer to work with current update. Will this ever happen? I don't wanna downgrade and lose the option to multiplayer.

I think only trainers and some edit dat data puts you in modded lobbies. And don't worry about getting banned. It's over GFWL so nothing bad can't really happen

Looks like some existing commands' behavior is altered too, e.g. -availablevidmem 500 = 500 MB total Resource Usage. Not sure how to use -memrestrict properly now, old method doesn't work anymore - results in huge stuttering and hangs after some time of playing, resulting number is too large I guess..

I recently learned while experimenting with a friend, that mod checks for all types of mods (.asi, .dll, data files, etc...) are removed (or no longer function) on versions 1080 and 1130.

Just a few posts above yours

Limit to 50 FPS, e.g. via NVIDIA Profile Inspector.

Sorry for bump, but I believe I must share my opinion with you guys.

So, I just installed IV once again. Getting bored and remembered about one of my favourite games.

Patch 1.0.8.0, of cource.

Game runs like a charm at high settings ))

40-60 fps at most time, with rare drops to 25-30, but only in heavy areas.

And check my specs:

Windows 7 SP1 x64

Intel Core2Quad Q8400 3.2 Ghz

6gb DDR2 RAM

AMD Radeon 7770 2gb

As you see I got really outdated PC, but I can play IV, and play it nice, with pleasure.

So, a little advice for guys with Core i7 and complaints about bad optimisation - reinstall your GTA IV. Delete all old files, registry entries and settings. You SHOULD have good performance, even I have it.

That is it.

Enjoy your life ))

P.S. IV looks amazing, only lacks of AA ...

Cannot install mods with the latest update though, so I gotta stick with v.1.0.7.0
