The fonts are alright. The options that are not selected should be darker though.

Yes and no.While I haven't tested it on the recent version of GTA IV yet,this mod is using 'ScriptHook',which hasn't been updated for 1.0.8.0 and probably will never be(considering its author hasn't been online for over a year).

So yeah,even though you could still play the mod,you won't be able to enjoy it at its fullest

Oh ok thanks. Forgive me if I sound like a noob but I managed to run GTA IV on my toaster Intel graphics laptop and GTA IV and EFLC runs fine on it if you could believe it. I tried downgrading from the patch to 1.0.7.0 and installed the files from a previous beta and my game keeps crashing. I must be doing something wrong? Could you or someone make a step by step video to install when this new beta gets released? I really love the vice city rage work and am tired of just watching videos and want to experience it for myself badly.

You probably tried to install Beta 1.That one can only be played on EFLC(1.1.2.0)

As for the version I will be releasing(it's not a beta btw),I will try to upload the whole game,so people won't have to bother with the installation of IV or EFLC first

I am tired of trying to get the old mod to work with GTA IV and Windows 10. I've tried for a whole week. I fully support your decision to upload the whole game so I don't have to install GTA IV again.

Now that I got what he meant - you're making a good point.In this case,I won't be able to upload the whole game,unless the community supports this kind of piracy,which I'm pretty sure it doesn't

 

If any of you guys will want to get the entire game so you don't have to deal with this otherwise annoying process you'll have to contact me on Skype or some other social media

IDEAS:

I don't really see why you think the HUD doesn't fit,and you should also know that it's not possible to make it look like it is in the original game

Those flag blips have a purpose - they indicate where the races are

The reflections can be reduced from the settings

 

I don't see how buying places makes the gameplay more fun,also a lot of the features from VC are too over-the-top for this engine

Sorry for the lack of progress in the past few weeks,but I've been busy with other things,not to mention the lack of people who are willing to help me with the project.

 

I've probably said it before too,but I am seriously looking for someone to help me make a trailer for the mod.Not necessarily something fancy,but I'm requesting people with actual skills.If anyone thinks they can handle it,kindly send me a PM or contact me on Skype so we may discuss it.You should also consider showing me a piece of your work(previously-made trailers/promos).

 

Another thing,I'm still looking for someone who can help me make the transition to EFLC,as I've tried it myself and failed for the most part.

 

The good news is,Frank.s may start working on more missions once he is back and I will also continue my work with the weapon models,either this week or the upcoming one.

 

As always,if you could contribute with ANYTHING to this mod,that'd be greatly appreciated.

You guys should see the video of how Majami was able to remaster the In the Beginning... cutscene.

At the beginning of the video he mentions that he used the original cutscene animation data from the game. So in order to natively run the cutscenes into the RAGE engine instead of using Bink video (which uses a lot of space, takes longer to encode to .bik and recording lag), why not extract the animation data from the original Vice City game and convert it to the RAGE engine? That would fix HD complaints and other stuff.

Well,it's not as easy as some people may think,let's wait for our .sco editor first :)

Thank you so much for your attempt,however I don't really see how a spanish translation could help a project like this.

Also the project isn't going that slow,especially if you look at the progress of other mods,some of them have been worked on for years and haven't had a release candidate until now.The progress has only been going slowly for like 2 months now because people aren't willing to help sadly,and those who wished to help(or so they implied) haven't shown themselves in months.

 

You can expect some weapon models pics to be released in the upcoming days.
