Along with the partnership announcement between Rockstar and Sony for Red Dead Redemption 2, they also announced today that Red Dead Redemption is coming "soon" to Playstation Now.

Playstation Now is the streaming service which allows you to play PS3 games on your PS4 or PC. It's not quite the same as a remaster or backwards compatibility, but I guess that's all we're getting...

" In addition, the PS3 classic Red Dead Redemption will be coming to PlayStation Now soon. Relive the epic story of former outlaw John Marston as he hunts down the gang members he once called friends through the harsh and punishing landscape of America’s dying West. "

Thanks for posting. Must confess I'd never heard of this service! I have a PS3 with RDR as well as a PC, but keen to find out what else is on there.

I wish PS4/PC players could get a native port instead. Streaming games need a hell of a connection. Without an internet or a slow one, you're out of luck.

Will this be upscaled to 1080p? Otherwise, I may just as well replay this on my Xbox 360.

It was a fairly new concept for me too, from their website;

"PS Now is the subscription service that lets you stream hundreds of PS3 games to your PS4 and Windows PC."

I wonder if we have to re-buy the game to stream it on Playstation Now?  If so, I will just back to my PS3.

Perhaps because PS3 games cannot be played on PS4, Sony didnt make the emulation possible as far as I know.

PSnow is a streaming service, the game is played on a PS3 in some warehouse and then the gameplay is streamed to your PS4 or PC, which is bullsh*t in my opinion. If you have a bad connection, resolution and sound can get downgraded and you get even worse graphics and experience than on the original console, a lot of people reported this.

Who ever wants to play this masterpiece, I recommend the Xbox 360 version on Xbox One, it runs the best : :)

Bullsh*t, R* should be against these practices and stated a general release like the xbox. Im not a PS owner, but I feel for you people that own a system.  Having to pay for a service that technically makes that you can't own that game. I CALL BULLsh*t...  I know of all bullsh*t emulation is farse. Just like the xbox all it needed is to unlock a program within the system and bam you got BC. f*ck YOU SONY.

Oh f*ck that...I'd rather buy a used PS3 + RDR (again) before I support that streaming rip-off! Last time I checked rip-off NOW hasn't even been available in Germany. And the 50 I pay to be online every year is more than enough up Sony's ass!

Really sad/mad to see a masterpiece like RDR getting such a shady treatment by Sony

Edit: lel, pathetic, still not available in Germany. Who cares though...

PSNow sucks ass, but this the only way R* can put RDR on PS4 right now, unless they decide to remaster the game (unlikely given the re-releases on both systems), or Sony have a change of heart and give us proper PS3 emulation (again, unlikely - PSNow is a money spinner for them).

Considering that i have both PS4 and Xbox One. I think i'd rather getting the Xbox One version instead. Our average internet in our region is too awful.

This game did not hold up well, at least on PS3. Everything looks like a blurry mess and the controls feel really outdated after GTAV. Can only recommend if you haven't played it before... otherwise don't ruin your sweet memories of it.

That's probably because you're streaming it and not playing with a disc/copy on HD. PSNow sucks the big one, so much I'm going to buy a ps3 again to play RDR, GTA IV, LA Noire, ect.. Eff Sony yo.
