Xbox, never owning a PS rather become part of the mustard race than do that. Already pay for Live on the 360 so it's technically "free" on the One.
RDR2: What platform will you play on?

PS5, more chance Sony getting this ready on time than R*. But seriously/sadly (delete as appropriate) will invest in a PS4 just to play this

I might start saving up for an Xbox One Scorpio to get some more juicy sexiness out of this game.

If it comes to PC then it ofc but if not then I might purchase XB1 just for RDR 2

Of course PC.. But since we all know R* they won't release a PC version. I might buy a XBOX One. I don't like the childish UI on the PS4 with those useless sound effects like on Nintendo consoles.

I would've said Xbox One (only current gen console I have), but I've just heard that they've gutted it of DLC on that platform, and all this talk of it being "handcrafted" for the PS4 makes it sound like the Xbox will just have some sloppy port.
Disclaimer: The above writing is a little biased by me being angry right now. Better to look into it yourself if you haven't already seen.
But yeah, I don't even know if I'm going to get ti at all now to be honest. I mean, how much are they cutting? How much worse is it going to look? Not happy at all with that news.

Xbox One most likely, but i might get a new PS4 down the line. Also PC if it ever comes to it.

It depends on what they plan to do with the PC version. I'm expecting them to release it eventually, but if it takes them too long to release then I'll probably get it on PS4. Then buy it again for PC.

I don't own a new gen console. I don't play many games, so they were too expensive for me to justify buying. By the date of release, both systems will likely be a little bit cheaper, and I'll go with whatever I can get cheapest at the time.

If R* and Sony decide to tro lol lol I may suck it up and get it on the PS4 and it'll finally stop collecting dust. 'Cause you know, Sony all "muh partnership".

I will be playing on PS4, and most likely will NOT buy on PC unless there is a very very good reason to, and it can't be graphics, I won't care much.
I didn't have a PS4 when PC version of GTA V released, so I joined newgen on PC, but I did get a PS4 later, and I won't buy a game twice.
IF a miracle occurs and PC version is confirmed for same day release and/or weeks/month or two after, sure, I will wait (not just for release, but for confirmation it runs good).
But as it stands now, I will buy once on PS4, play story, and be done with it, back to my PC games (done with gta v at this point), and whatever else might be out by then.
I am not interested in the online mode, and would prefer GTA Online, regardless of what this game offers for Online, I won't be interested in the themes/genre and exploring outside of single player. I will just prefer cars and planes and modern music, not wild west horses and empty spaces, though I will enjoy the game in single player, I will not care about online.

I'll be playing on PS4. I want to play the game on release, not over a year and a half later. If it comes out on PC, great. I'll buy it there too, but I'm not putting any eggs in that particular basket. Not with Rockstar behind the wheel. With any other company I'd agree a PC release is inevitable, but Rockstar are different. It's not only possible, but quite likely that it won't get released on PC, ever.
And inb4 people pointing to GTA V getting a PC release. Yeah, doesn't mean they're commited to PC. Don't forget that GTA IV also got a PC release, and Red Dead Redemption was released in between these two, and they skipped PC. I don't think it has anything to do with Rockstar finally starting to care about PC gamers. I think GTA is just a special case.

After having been completely mesmerized and absorbed by a glimpse of what Red Dead Redemption: 2 can muster via the Current-Gen era of consoles / hardware, I hereby inscribe my affirmation to atone the notion within the last sentence of the previous paragraph.
I will be commandeering John Marston, preferably via stagecoach, horseback and maybe locomotive, whilst surveying the surreal landscapes of Rockstar's epic histological depictions of America in its infancy. Maybe perhaps with some oversight, allusion or dialogue pertaining to the 1902 Anthracite coal strike, depending upon Rockstar's designated setting for the game.
I simply cannot and will not dismiss the epic ventures that will be had within this beautifully crafted showcase of the West, vintage and gilded. The verdict is a buy for me and a sell of $60.00 in projected voluminous profits for Rockstar.
It is epic recidivism all over again. The masterful cinematography in collaboration with the suble piano introduction to the trailer, pays homage to that feeling. The feeling predicated by Grand Theft Auto: V.
I am contemplating transitioning to the PlayStation Pro because I simply want to have the absolute best, riveting experience with the power and effects that the revamped R.A.G.E. engine will generate.
Red Dead Redemption: 2 will be the perfect way to preoccupy myself, and in turn conclude my gaming hiatus.
Irrespective of this topic, thereafter, it will be Grand Theft Auto: VI as an early preorder and day one purchase for either PlayStation Pro or PlayStation 5. The time is beckoning for a new, revolutionary Grand Theft Auto blockbuster that spans multiple distinguished cities. You are conquistadors, Rockstar; perfect Red Dead Redemption: 2 and then proceed to orchestrate another masterpiece.
