It looks phenomenal. I have not had the opportunity to test it yet, but I take it you haven't quite done up the front to the same extent?

Do we actually know what the front of the mansion looked like at that point in development?

Thank you! The front hasn't received that big of a change, just colour scheme and a few edits to match the new scaling (roof was made shorter, middle was made higher).

No idea how it was originally, only that from the interior there was a middle pillar in front of the entrance, so I added that back in.

 

The back was pretty much a complete copy/paste of the front in the final, just with the entrance removed and filled in with a bare wall.

Perhaps it shared a similar design before it was remade? The front and back being the same, minus entrance for the back? Who knows. :p

If you ever feel like taking it a step further, I think you should do something cardinally different for the front. Perhaps, a layout similar to the back, eliminating the arches altogether, or making them rectangular and applying the new window textures.

Can't help but imagine how this would be an amazing addition to Shine o'Vice, if you'd be interested?

Can't help but imagine how this would be an amazing addition to Shine o'Vice, if you'd be interested?

It seems like a bit of a drastic change in cosmetics for a year's time, but I'll gladly let it be used. :)

looks great. I'm very impressed with the end result and appreciate you letting us use it!

Anyone who last played VC several years ago will be blown away coming across this in the mod.

Given that Vice City has accomplished 10 years worth of development in just under 1 year (all constructions completed, new constructions initiated, new district formed in Downtown and an entire island spawned), the change in the cosmetics of the Mansion is only relative :)

Thanks, and no problem! With that amount of development in such small time, yeah, I can see how this wouldn't stick out too much, haha.

New download up on GTAG, named "Mansion [alt]", kept the original in case some people prefer the old front in beta style. :)

Original download ("Mansion") was also updated, to include bug fixes I did whilst making the new front.

Just out of curiosity does it conflict with any missions around that area ie Diaz clipping a wall or something? Looks dope, gonna stick it onto VC once I get back on Windows.

I don't see why, the Sparrow is a water-based helicopter, for it to be in a pool of water doesn't really sound wrong to me. It's not real water anyway, so it doesn't affect you entering it.
