After joining these forums earlier today, I recently found out that IE users apparently cannot quote other members' posts on here without having to install another browser like Firefox or Chrome. For me, I don't feel obligated enough to do it just so I can quote people (along with other potential issues that I may come across while trying to do more in my post than just type).

I don't know whether mods or whoever plan to rectify this issue, but if so, hopefully it's soon. If not, however, then I suppose I'll install either browser eventually.

This is a pretty common issue, if it's like past ones then the problem is on IE's end since it's a pretty faulty browser, and the admins don't plan to support IE. You're best off using another one, which are better in general.

If you're using a version of IE so old you're experiencing issues with quote system (IE pre 9.0 so before they actually started confirming to the IETF RFC standards), you've probably got bigger problems. Another browser is strongly advisable.

The site works fine on Edge, IE11 and AFAIk IE10.

I actually have Internet Explorer 11. I even have the checkbox set to 'install new versions automatically' in the 'about Internet Explorer' popup. I guess it's something I'm missing whenever I try to quote someone, because when I click 'quote' on a post, the site automatically brings me down to the blank text box in a discussion with no quoted post inside.

EDIT: Yeah, even trying to post image url's seem to be a problem for me - both the popup and the image coding included. I'll just try installing Firefox now, lol.

Hmm, that's strange. I know we've had problems with older versions of IE but later versions should work at least in theory. Never mind, if you've got Firefox up and running then all is fine and dandy.
