Improved Vice City
This mod improves Vice City by adding new features and fixing game bugs.
* Fixed the Havana outfit glitch.
* Fixed the dark sky glitch in "Shakedown" and "Bar Brawl".
* Fixed the "Vice Squad" glitch.
* Fixed the widescreen glitch in "Four Iron".
* Fixed the blip glitch in "Two Bit Hit".
* Fixed the widescreen glitch at the end of the 4th Film Studio mission.
* Improved the Busted and Wasted help texts and removed the help pickups spawning at the hospital and at the police station in Vice Point.
* An extra cash pickup now spawns in The Bank in Little Havana, it is located behind the desk near the bank's entrance inside the bank.
* Cam's death now affects the reward given in "The Job".
(Fact: This feature is handled by a thread, and not by the mission.)
* The total amount of money you can steal from The Bank in Little Havana after "The Job" has been randomized.
* A Tec-9 can be bought for $800 from the grocery store near The North Point Mall in Vice Point, it gets replaced by a free MP5 after "Shakedown".
* Weapons buyable from Phil's Place after "Boomshine Saigon" are now the ones stolen from the dealers in "Gun Runner".
* The counter in "Distribution" now no longer resets back to 0 (only does after 1000 deals), it keeps adding up (no longer need to do 50 all at once).
* The buyable remote grenade has been re-added to Phil's Place and relocated near the entrance.
* Umberto Robina's first phone call has been replaced it's beta variant.
* The "come back when you have finished the Biker gang missions" message is now shown for 5 seconds.
* Tommy now wears the Soiree outfit in The Boatyard asset purchase cutscene, as he's being called a "suit dude".
* Lance will now look beaten up in "Death Row".
* Tommy's clothes are no longer reverted to his default ones when starting certain missions.
* A special reward is given for beating level 12 in "Vigilante", check Ocean View Hotel. Vercetti Estate and\or Hyman Condo after completing level 12!
* Tommy and Hilary now drive PCJ 600s in "The Driver".
* Changed the car revving sound to bike revving sound in "The Driver".
* Added palm plants which will spawn at Vercetti Estate as you progress through the game.
* The length of the cutscene where Tommy and Lance kill Diaz has been increased to 41 seconds to make an unused audio line hearable.
* Replaced the HMYRI ped in "Road Kill" with a food store worker.
* Removed the teargas effect in "The Job".
* The lock-up from "Cop Land" is now a bomb shop, the bomb is an ignition bomb.
(The garage still works as expected in "Cop Land", it will turn back into the bomb shop after failing or passing the mission.)
* Lance now no longer stops bleeding in "Death Row" when you untie him and his walkstyle in the mission has been changed so he looks wounded.
* Multiplied the ammo you get for the Ruger in "Naval Engagement" by 4, so 30 x 4 = 120.
* You now get to keep the camera after the 3rd Film Studio mission.
* The courier in "Mall Shootout" now drops Teargas when killed.
* In-game Maverick's color now matches the cut-scene Maverick's color in "Phnom Penh '86".
* Color of the Speeder given by Cortez now matches the one attached to the yacht.
* After "All Hands on Deck!" and "Rub Out", the speeder you earned will spawn at Vercetti Estate.
* Fixed mansion spawn point for Pizza bike, it now spawns there properly. But it only spawns after "Pizza Boy Mission" and "Rub Out".
* An Ambulance now spawns at the hospital in Little Havana.
* A Romero Hearse now spawns near the pizza place in Little Haiti.
* A Stretch now spawns in front of hotel in Washington Beach near the Pay 'n' Spray by Apartment 3C.
* A Spand Express van now spawns at Spand Express company after "Riot".
* A Skimmer now spawns inside large hangar at airport now spawns after the 2nd Film Studio mission.
* Hotring cars now spawn as a reward after completing the mission "Hotring", similarly to "Bloodring".
* A second Securicar now spawns at The Bank in Little Havana.
* Restored an unused "yt_gangplnk_tmp" prop at Cortez's yacht.
* Increased bike's health in the 4th Film Studio mission.
* Random possibility of "Vigilante" and "Paramedic" vehicles being either alarmed or locked.
* Lowered percentage of alarm triggering on Admiral at Vercetti's mansion. (25% instead of 50%)
* Moved Candy closer to the limo in the 3rd Flim Studio mission.
* Removed a misplaced pedestrian in the initial cutscene of "Messing With the Man" (only his head was visible).
* After buying Sunshine Autos, the northernmost garage will turn into a bomb shop. The bomb is a time bomb.
* Rico's boat is now removed after completing "Stunt Boat Challenge".
* Fixed the dark sky glitch after the cut-scene in "The Fastest Boat".
* Removed the trash and the shovel from Vercetti Estate because it doesn't fit with the added palm plants.
* Removed the blackmail photos and the posters from Vercetti Estate and Ocean View Hotel.
* The paintings in Vercetti Estate now no longer appear ruined after "Shakedown".
* Changed the text "New Contact Point opened at the marina in Ocean Beach" to "You can now take jobs from the Colonel".
* Hilary now survives in "The Job".
* Fixed the save game corruption bug which is usually caused by saving at the Ice Cream Factory.
(The solution was to rename the save pickup's handle name.)
Easy as 1-2-3, put the "data" folder next to gta-vc.exe.
