I feel there needs to be a bitch and moan topic solely in relation to vehicles because there are a lot of vehicle related quirks that piss you and I off I'm sure. Credit for the banner: Franceska.

Bitch away!

Personally I hate how Rockstar feels the need to jack up the rear axle of classic muscle cars. The Dukes, Sabre Turbo, etc. It's so tacky. I don't want that look. You could give me the option to have that look but I don't want it stock. I love classic muscle cars to be 100% factory looking, even if they're restored. I'm very picky when it comes to that. I am a factory car nut, all of my cars look as factory as possible. Which brings me to another qualm. Forced kits. The Feltzer. And then exaggerated body parts like flared arches on the Windsor. Little things like that can really piss me off.

Since we're ranting on the Dukes, I'll add a few more annoyances. They all prevent me from owning it for longer than a day.

1. Skinny rear tyres. They make the car look like a meth addict. This ain't respectable.

2. No Superbird-esque modifications like the ones on a Phoenix. It needs a monstrous spoiler badly.

3. Talking about mods, I'd really love it to have an option for a front ram bar, like a police car/Duke O'Death/Dukes of Hazzard's Charger.

3. A lack of Polish flag among the flags we can choose from. I know R* shouldn't include every flag of the world because it'd be an overkill, but there should be least the flags of those countries whose languages GTA V supports. Polish is one of them.

Indeed.

1. There are too many high-end vehicles.

2. Where are the Admiral and TLaD version of Regina?

2. Where are the Admiral and TLaD version of Regina?

There goes a list of vehicle design changes between IV and V that nobody asked for.

1. Comet and its forced spoiler.

2. Feltzer and Buffalo and their forced bodykits.

3. Oracle XS and Ingot have their tuning parts from IV removed.

4. Regina and its forced front fascia change to a more boring variant.

5. Ruiner and its boring generic muscle fugly interior instead of cool 80s digital dashboard.

6. Virgo (Classic) and the removal of its rear light decal.

It's always been a pet peeve of mine when they don't make convertibles of all of their coupes. The Rapid GT, Sentinel, 9F, Zion, etc all have hardtop and drop top versions. Why can't the Massacro, Lynx, etc?

And this seems to be the Rockstar tradition. Show that they've got major potential and creative ideas. Introduce working rooftops and retractable spoilers and then never use them again on any new vehicles. And then interiors. Why do the X80 and FMJ get new interiors but the overpriced Lynx gets a reused 9F interior? if anything the Lynx should've been the one with the unique interior.

The pricing is so off too. I remember when I thought the Furore GT was overpriced. The Lynx, even at $735000 it would still be overpriced. If feel like they just tack extra 0's on sometimes.

The f*cking rear wheel arches that sink too low on the Schafter, they were on the first generation but somehow R* didn't fix them on the V12. It's a pretty big design oversight in my opinion, and sometimes makes me consider selling it, I probably won't however.

Ah good, bitchin' time.

Drift Tampa. Now, why the hell would you want to put in your game a car with the word "drift" in it if that's not even something you can do properly in game?

And let me modify it by myself starting from a stock Tampa, you added Benny's for a reason, use it dumb Rockstar since you like people to buy you Shark Cards!

Why lazy ass Rockstar don't use the components they made for cars (Oracle, Ingot, Cavalcade, Shafter (if it was there...)) those cars have no modifications and they are already there clean and finished!

Since you love so much using old models from IV, was it that difficult to bring ALL CARS with EVERY COMPONENT for us to use?

Probally CP is some kind of magician since he already did that, pity his it's a mod, someone had to create a mod to finish Rockstar's work.

Rockstar, convertibles also have hard tops, not only soft tops, only Carbonizzare with it (and something else I probally don't remember about), seriously? The Surano is basically crap with that ugly thing on it. Same for Rapid GT and many others.

When making new cars, please, put new interiors on them, don't reuse crappy interiors and put a Baller 2 interior in a Panto (no logic for both, a van interior in a luxury SUV and in a sub compact). I know people that can create from scratch a whole car in less than two weeks and in your super hot fire company which earn sh*tload of millions you can't find someone with taste or minimum knowledge in cars that can make something at least average looking?

I probally have much more but I'll throw this for now.

The tray full of cigarettes in some cars; I think the Felon GT and a few others. I'm not against smokers but I'm against people who leave used cigs in their car, my prick friend trashed his BMW One-Series doing that, disgusting.

I honestly can't stand any of that extra bullsh*t they add to the interiors for "realism" it looks terrible, unrealistic and trashy. Especially when you buy a car and it has it and you can't remove it. I bought a Coquette and it came with an air freshener. Sold the thing. I wish all of that would be patched out or something. I just want the car.

The Turismo R. It looks nothing like a Laferrari (which is what it's supposed to be based on). TBH the Osiris looks more like the Laferrari from the front then the whole Turismo R. We need a true Laferrari-like supercar that can compete with the best supers in the game, like the X80, 811, T20 etc. Here's my idea from The Vehicle Wishlist and Speculation Thread.

Grotti Scorpion X (Based on 2015 Ferrari LaFerrari/2017 Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta)
Kqyh0yd.jpg
Price: $2,590,000
Vehicle Specs: 7.3L V12 Engine + Electric Motor (920hp), AWD Layout
Features: Butterfly Doors like the T20 and Tyrus, Mechanical Airbrake like LaFerrari, Removable Hard Top like 811, Interior of Turismo R + FMJ Seats + Bestia GTS

I know people will b***h at me for posting this again, but idc as this is a b***h and moan thread.

It'd be entertaining to scroll through :p . Max is 100 options anyway, so unless R* raises the limits 200-or-so flags of the world will be impossible even with mods.
qMAJ5Bu.png

Anyway, the naming is what really irks me. Half the time it's just plain retarded. Not talking about the actual names, but the unnecessary and dumb "Custom"/"Classic" suffixes.

Coquettes being the first example. Why not name give them the generation suffixes like the real Corvettes have (C1, C3, C7, etc)? eg. Coquette G7, Coquette G3, Coquette G1, etc

r5TMpTP.png

Not only this barely makes sense, but also makes the text size smaller, thus a pain to read, because... reasons, I guess?

"Invetero Coquette Classic, Sports Classics" - one would have thought it's a classic car, no? If not by the design, the class should be a dead giveaway. I don't think people are THAT stupid not to realize this is a classic car. And because of this dumb naming, the actual classic Coquette (BlackFin) needed a new name - which is somewhat creative, I'll give them that, but still would be better off with a generation or nothing at all - since it was taken up already. If they will ever get their sh*t together and add the IV Coquette, what will they name it? "Coquette Modern Classic"?

That leaves this utterly f*cking moronic example of vehicle names. It's as if R* are afraid to re-use existing name strings.

0DTdSwd.png

In what way does Virgo Classic make sense if there is no modern Virgo to begin with (by manufacturers)? And the Virgo "Modern" is, IRL, an older car than the Virgo Classic? As if it wasn't enough that some genius badged it as Albany, they added a "Classic" variant that is badged correctly as Dundreary. They couldn't be bothered to come up with an explanation for that manufacturer change, either. It'd be simpler to just suck it up and leave two "Virgo"s with different manufacturers instead of making this an even bigger failure. Same names from different manufacturers can happen, and it'll make it less of a clusterf*ck than it already is.

As with the Coquette Classic, Virgo Classic Custom = waste of space. Anyone with a double and triple digit IQ knows it's a custom variant of the Classic. The point? Same goes for other Custom vehicles.

Final examples are the Armored vehicles. Well-f*cking-duh. I thought the bullet-resistant/covered-up windows and door armor padding were just aerodynamic ornaments or some sh*t. Had no idea those were armored cars! That extra "(Armored)" bit really helped me figure out the vehicle's design, after I had to place myself 5 inches in front of the monitor to be able to actually read the car's name!

I really admire Rockstar's creativity when it comes to vehicle designs, one of the - if not THE - best I've seen. When it comes to naming them they have A LOT of work to do, though.

I don't get it. The T20 and The Osiris are based on P1 and Huayra. Both Rear-Wheel drive cars. Then why the hell is the T20 and Osiris All-Wheel Drive?! If it was to make them faster, that reason is gone. Look at the FMJ. Look at the top 3 supers now. All RWD. Just why R*? It really pisses me off seeing all four wheels spin on these two beauties and please don't get me started on the Vehicle classification. Does the f*ckin Moonbeam look like a Muscle car to you? Does the Bison look like a Van to you? How about the God Damn Blista Compact. Oh and lets not forget, There are so many mistakes in Vehicle Classifications, This is only just a few of them.

I already love this thread.

As for naming issues: there is a distinction between an 811 and an 811 cabrio on the mechanic list. Same goes to Mamba, Coquette BlackFin and many other cars. This is all made without actual changes to the name we're reading in the bottom right corner of the screen. So, "811 cabrio" on the list = "Pfister 811, Supers." If this system was introduced to distinguish between normal and armoured cars [Benefactor Schafter V12 (armoured) on the list, Benefactor Schafter V12 when sitting in the car], the naming issues mentioned by WildBrick would be a bit diminished.

I want ENGINE SWAPS!!!

I always hated how we don't get much lower end/base model versions of cars, it would add to the variety and imo make it more fun.

I also always hated how the Jester went from being based mainly on a Supra to being based mainly on the new NSX.

I want dyno charts (don't know how it would really work though with how GTA's handling works).

I HATE, absolutely HATE the vanilla handling.

I want adjustable offset and camber.

The Surano would really benefit from having a big badge grille as an option.

The Surano would've benefited if Rockstar didn't get stupid, trying to make it look like an F-Type with an SLS AMG body. They should've kept it strictly Mercedes, mixing the SL63 AMG with the SLS AMG Roadster.

Quite possibly one of the dumbest designs. The F-Type is a car that looks very beautiful but part of why is it's proportions. They're 100% perfect. It's also a car that looks best small. The SLS AMG is a huge car, long and super wide. So taking the body of one and slapping on some F-Type design cues - including that hideous very poorly done rear end with the halogen taillights which look super dated compared to LED strips - was just wrong. And then topping it off with tacky Maserati looking fender vents.

There seems to be a huge fanbase for the car. I genuinely can't stand the thing, it's atrocious. I can't even drive it without wanting to fly it off a cliff, rolling until it hits a tree and blows up. Now I would like a hardtop Surano with a facelift (and buttlift) and gullwing doors and, of course, the removal of those ghastly side vents.

Why is the Imponte Nightshade slower than a Imponte Phoenix?  acceleration and top speed is horrible

Declasse Tampa isn't any better

Why is there no Gen 4 or Gen 5 Camaro?

Vigero GEN 1,Nightshade Gen 2 & Ruiner Gen 3

I wonder why acceleration and top speed of all vehicles is increased with the Slidey Cars cheat?

Well I guess it doesn't matter now, because it's broken WTF? R* need to fix it

I hate how most muscle cars are lower than stock suspension height should be example Dukes and Buccaneer front end to low & back end jacked up

suspension of Faction broken

Faction Turbo hood only available on lowrider ver but the turbo hood is on a stock Faction in races WTF!

Why R* keep adding so many Supers and Sports cars? but no new Muscle cars?

Blackfin & Nightshade are the only new Muscle cars only 2 WTF!

Nightshade isn't worth $500,000 every muscle car found on the street is faster!

the Faction and Tampa are from GTA IV

I agree entirely; some of the classes are beyond a joke at this point.  Why R* felt the need to place the upgraded Sultan into the Super category is simply beyond me.  How in the name of f*ck is that a Super car in any regard?  Not to mention the fact that it simply cannot compete with much of anything there.

That's something else that bothers me (and I'm sure many others); the fact that so many classes are terribly unbalanced and that only a select few can properly compete in races.  I get that GTA is not a dedicated racing game, but just a bit of effort and thought could go a long way here.  Many people who play are indeed into racing, and most of those people aren't going to spend a fortune on cars that cannot properly compete.  Then you have the fact that new cars are constantly released that render the former dominant cars useless in races.  It's quite maddening! :p

I also think it's ridiculous that most Super cars can perform better off-road than actual off-road vehicles, but I won't get into that since I'm sure this perplexes us all.  Not to mention the ridiculous concept of pavement surfing as well.

Ah, so many bitches and moans, but it's great to have a place to vent these frustrations.

We need more cars for Bennys. We don´t even need a themed update. Just give us more vehicles for Benny´s like R* did with the Sultan and the Banshee.

Bennys has so much potential and it would be a lost opportunity if we don't get more cars for Bennys.

It is strange there wasn´t one car with the Stunt update to be upgradable at Bennys.

There is a minimum of cars that need to be upgraded in my opinion. The Comet, the Elegy, Kuruma and the Sentinal. More are welcome.

I used to love driving around with my Benefactor Glendale but the view of the camera has ruined it for me. The car is very low and it feels like the camera is a bit too high. Also, I hate it how when I buy a pair of rims at Los Santos Customs because they look good in the garage but when I take the vehicle outside it just looks like trash. Then I just waisted eighty thousand dollars on some crappy rims that aren't even good.

I could talk all day on this thread but for now I'll just agree about the interior rubbish in cars being unwelcome. No way should you be buying a new car for a fortune that comes with an ashtray stuffed with cigs. I'd be straight on the phone to whoever I bought it from and I sure as hell wouldn't be selling it and buying a new one from the same person.

It's a ridiculous situation when you get a car with a coffee cup in it and rather than picking the damn thing up and chucking it away you have to replace the whole car, it's a farce.

Not repeating same stuff, like clases, names etc...

1.I find lack of some less high-end cars among traffic.

How come cars like: Blade, Slamvan, Moonbeam, Faction, Virgo Classic, Tampa, Virgo, Chino, normal Kuruma, Warraner or Buffalo S NEVER appear as traffic while few high-end ones often do (Bullet, Infernus!!)

Adding them to traffic would be nice to have more varienty, looking more natural and lively.

2.Some traffic cars valued under $100 000 can't be stored.

Why I can keep $95 000 worth stolen Felon GT/Sentinel Convertible, but can't keep a half-price worth Kalahari or under-$100 000 Panto and Kuruma (normal one, from CEO-mission)

Nonsene saying about high-end vehicles being too hot when trying to store hardly found Panto, but more worth vehicles (Felon GT etc) go ingarage with no problem right off street.

3. Dumb, minimal price diffrences between SP and MP.

For example: Banshee in SP costs bit over $90 000, but in MP they valued it $105 000. Reason?

4. Lack of spoilers for some vehicles. Seriously, why Gauntlet can't have this:

dodge-challenger-spoiler-2015-factory-st

So it could keep up in corners with more grippier, spoiler ones muscle.

5. Inability to sell/store street-stolen vehicle tuned/customised by other player, even tho he DID NOT put tracker/insurance on it, while keeping NPC-customised ones is no problem.

6. Kinda lacks of 80s-90s styled vehicles.

We either have totoall 50s-70s classics or fully modern ones. Nearly nothing from 80s-90s era (Banshee, Infernus-kinda, Tyrus, Sultan, Blista Compact, Futo, Omnis, Tropos, Primo, Stainer, Stratum) 10-11 out of around 250 cars.
