Hi I'm trjack on here but known as jack9267 everywhere else.

 

I'm working on a multiplayer modification that allows lua scripting much like how MTA San Andreas did with Grand Theft Auto San Andreas.

 

My intentions are to support a wide variety of GTA elements that other people don't think to support such as

  • Cop peds
  • Civilian peds
  • Emergency peds
  • Pacman pickups
  • Phones
  • Missions

And a wide variety of internal GTA things.

i think i force window mode in that version anyway so you might be able to remove the ASI file.

 

What issues does the ASI file really fix though?

I updated the main server a lot ill post a new client in the future.

 

I added GTA San Andreas support to the client.

 

So the client supports gta3 vc and sa now.

Already made a suggestion pack

 

- Add a way to add custom vehicles, skins, weapons ( like in vcmp )

- Squirrel language support ( plz plz plz! )

- Add a chat box

- Add a normal server browser

- Nicknames

 

Events:

- onPlayerSpawn(player)

Erm most of that is already supported honesty!

 

One client for all 3 games and one server for all. Powered by lua though rather than squirrel.

 

It's layed out a lot like MTA SA exccept the difference is I support all 3 games and more functions than they would add.

Take a look at some of the resources I made (they are a bit messy which ill tidy up!)

 

I'm thinking of making the chatbox literally a resource, that way its customizable.

I'm creating a website there to document my lua functions, classes and events etc.

 

The public should be able to create their own scripts then with the aid of documentation.

I use the event OnKeyDown and OnKeyUp rather than a BindKey function.

They are client side only so if you want them serverside you would simply trigger up a network event and transmit something.

Vice City needs a bit more work but may or may not run (ain't tested VC)

I added in launcher settings which lets you customise the game.

i just found about this multiplayer mod and i dont think people will migrate from liberty city unleashed to this like the only thing i can see that this mod has that liberty city unleashed dont has is the co-op thing

I will add the server download but this is the first actual release i've done.

 

The client has an update checker built in so as daily updates happen it notifies when you open the launcher.

Hey awesome work man, i'm dying to know now though is there anyway to change map the server loads by default or play with the missions/pedestrians enabled at this point?, how do I at least spawn a car to use like the photo's shown?with an extra player or two in the game? That and the controls for the in-game menu don't seem to work anymore when I hit ESC using your launcher, therefore my siblings can't use the server browser.

I update it every few days at least.

Last question, can you give  examples of all the available commands in-game that i can use ON my server? I've added all those file resources to the end of my server.xml already but far all I know to use is "/connect" and "/setname".

Yes TCP and UDP as mentioned in server.xml
