INFORMATION

 
Purpose of this mod is remodelling all buildings in Angel Pine using only original GTA SA textures and saving the spirit of Grand Theft Auto universe. Possible opening cozy RP server in future. Town will be based on Angel Pine itself and Google Maps pictures of Lone Pine, California

Damn, this sounds like a good project. I always loved Angel Pine and Whetstone was always my favorite county in San Andreas. The only thing I didn't care much for was how weird the town was laid out. But other than that, it always felt quite cozy and I always wanted to see an extended version of Angel Pine.

I'd be willing to help out on this project if you need it. I do know for the sawmill, you could probably see if you could get the sawmill interior from LCS and use that, since the Liberty City sawmill is identical to the Angel Pine one.

I'd be willing to help out on this project if you need it. I do know for the sawmill, you could probably see if you could get the sawmill interior from LCS and use that, since the Liberty City sawmill is identical to the Angel Pine one.

Didn't expect to find someone who wants to support so fast on this forum; really appreciated.

Regarding the sawmill, you read my minds dude, I've been trying to export this interior month ago, but gave up after failure with all export methods that i found. Maybe i did something wrong, but however, It would be much easier if rockstar ported LCS on PC. 

I will be glad if some decent modder will participate this project, so if you want to do so, just contact me via PM (i could send pm first, but f*cking limit of minimum 8 posts forces me to bump topic again)

Maybe you could ask and see if anyone else exported it? I know there's some around here. Anything else that needs help with I'd be up for doing, just so long as you really don't respect Hitler like your respect list claims.

Yeah, saw PC edition of LCS, but interior universe wasn't converted there.

Well damn. Maybe once you get enough posts, you can ask around and see if anyone else exported it because I'm pretty sure someone did at one point.

 

The only suggestion I can give at this point is to see if you can change the road layout to something more realistic. I dunno how much of the original you want to change, but I do know that if realism is your goal, it'd be better off to make the road layout look like this, where the roads highlighted in red are kept while the roads in the yellow circle are done away with. It always annoyed me how a lot of the San Andreas towns had that dumb layout where you drive in and it's just a spaghetti bowl of streets. At least this way, you've got a typical main street that's going through the town and connects to two other roads, which is pretty common in almost every small town. Just dot the buildings from inside the yellow circled area along the street going through the town and wham, you got good stuff with room to spare for more neighborhoods because how can a town that small house 6,412 people.

But again, that's ultimately up to you and how much of the original you want to change for the sake of realism. I'd totally be onboard for that.

Makes me feel like I am playing a very complicated version of SimCity. Honestly your advice turned my vision of how this mod can be completed - I was going to exchange original models without changing their coordinates in order to avoid troubles with LODs or draw distance and increase amount of dwelling houses by drawing additional streets at red area, but now i understand how absurdly it may look like (maybe because villages in my country look exactly like this). Now i will try to develop this mod closer to the real prototype https://en.wikipedia...ine,_California and save SA spirit withal. Maybe it will complicate my work by several times, but I do believe that this is the right choice.

Keep on sharing your ideas, I will necessarily take into account all of them and thanks a lot for this one.

The only other thing I can suggest at this point is to get rid of those weird shotgun looking houses and put some of these houses I made in that look like they actually belong in a proper suburb and not some backwoods rural town.

I can send it your way once you get your PM system working. But again, the house itself doesn't use SA textures or anything. I might also be able to give you a portion of suburban roads & culdesacs I made this house for that never really got used for it's intended purpose but nevertheless I can give it your way if need be once you get it working.

I don't remember all these places having interiors...or is that the whole point since from what I've read I can't work out if you've reskinned them or created them from scratch.  Sorry if it's a stupid question.

 

He either made some of them from scratch or added the interiors from the hidden interior universe and added them into the buildings themselves.

My vision of this mod completely changed during the last days. Changes will be more global and impressive than i expected

So it's quite a major expansion then compared to before!  Looks really good I've just reinstalled San Andreas after a number of years in the hopes this does make a release debut!

I just thought, if you have a way to get LCS interiors like you did for the sawmill, maybe you can use some other LCS interiors, like Vincenzo's warehouse/office for something?

I could probably do some new warehouse exteriors for them. Hell, it looks general enough to be repeated without any problems and a few changes inside depending on what's being stored in there, etc.

I wouldn't be half surprised if R* based it on that place.  Something along those lines would be nice, SA does have these little places dotted around, the issue is simply that, they're often too little!

I'd still be very careful with the GTA Wikia since it's a whole lot of hearsay. But either way, it's a good enough reference.
