In my opinion, Las Venturas/Las Vegas is a beautiful city and I'd love seeing it remade in HD in a future GTA, and Las Venturas is no Las Venturas with the desert area around it like Tierra Robada and Bone County. I'm also adding a poll because I can. Discuss, people.

It ought to look amazing in HD, but I'd rather have that desert area between large cities (not a boring yellow one covering 1/2 of the map).

Gambling in HD GTA would be dope as hell too. Although i don't know how to play any gambling game properly and in games with poker i just press random buttons and pretend i'm doing good. :whuh:

Totally. Always wanted to see the HD renditions of Venturas and Fierro, honestly. I think they would look simply amazing and staggering if done properly.

Definitely, I would rather have LV and SF for the next GTA instead of Vice City.

I like Las Venturas, it has its own atmosphere for such a small town. But I can't imagine it without the mafia ruling this place, I really liked the idea of different families running casinos with Rosie, Kent Paul and Salvatore's cameos but that's maybe because I love that part of San Andreas' story, So yeah I would love to see LV back along with a large desert area and some small towns like Fort Carson. I don't know about area 69, why not?

Actually, Area-51 exists, is a real secret base where they seemingly develop experimental aircrafts.

It should look amazing if done correctly. I would love to invade the base if there was a way, but in a realistic way. By that, I mean being stealthy and not detected when you go inside the base you wouldn't be wanted by anyone. Would be an interesting system, honestly.

Hell yeah, but I hope they bring back Los Santos too and connect them. Imagine the story they could do with Los Santos and LV, seeing as V might not get SP DLC it'd be nice if Los Santos at least got another game sort of.... assuming Online doesn't take priority again.

And several characters could actually show up. Obviously Omega, maybe Lester helps the new character rob a casino, and maybe even Trevor and Ron show up with a new base in LV. Trevor would be a perfect Boss.

I would love for Las Venturas and San Fierro to return. The only thing I don't want are GTA 5 characters returning, especially Trevor. People like him won't survive into old age.

Sure, with a huge Area 69 and good number of beautiful casinos, definitely, I'm interested to see Rockstar return to Las Venturas and the deserts!
Additionally, Jetpack, mysteries and Easter eggs will make the return all the more sweeter!
Though if it's all just window dressing with a soulless, empty game world like GTA IV then its not good enough reason to bring the LV back. I want a massive improvement to how the game feels outside the story, that uses more intelligent design across the board.

Look how nice can your posts be if you cut out the constant rambling about IV.

Says who..

R* has shown how much they care for GTA IV by 'introducing' Trevor in V. So no I don't expect squat from them.

Doesn't make sense for the topic you have chosen and looks more like ramble about Trevor/V, not mine which just makes a mere reference point required to address a concern about the potential of their pretty looking sandboxes that go to waste.

Many pro-IV posters tend to ramble about V as well, but you find only certain posters that mention IV to trigger your attention.
Way to preach yet maintain a typical anti-V/pro-IV bias. Dude, better if you mind your own business, that'd be great!
Doesn't mean I'm not open for discussion, if you wish to counter my opinions.

OT:
LV and deserts flying missions were superb in SA. I want Rockstar to maintain the same level of variety, surprises' in the quality of missions for the gameplay. Though I don't want to see any missions revolving around heists but something different and new.

Las Venturas was always my favourite city in San Andreas, but I don't think it would work too well if it was the only city because I can't see R* making endless desert.

1960s/70s Las Venturas during the golden era of the mafia would awesome though.

Not exactly the best example (all he was saying is that he disliked returning characters) in my opinion, but pretty true nonetheless.

Definitely, after watching Casino recently I could see Rockstar going for a mob focus with the Casinos, gambling, glitz and glamour, have it back in the mob's heyday in the 70's or have it set in the present, the mob trying to reclaim control in a different time, the mob is only one aspect though, it's just the one that comes to mind first.

Maybe the desert surroundings would be boring but maybe not, if done right they could have a great atmosphere, a lone tumbleweed passes by, seemingly no one around for miles, a feeling of isolation from the hustle and bustle of the city, who's to say Rockstar won't have multiple city's for the next game anyway so if the scenery gets boring jet down to Vice City.

I just think Las Venturas would be a great setting, seeing replicas of landmarks from the Gta Series there would be great, there could be a miniature Statue Of Happiness there, maybe you could have a safehouse in the head, why not, after all it is Las Vegas.... I mean Venturas.

Years ago I suggested Las Venturas 1977 based upon the the film Casino. The city would be surrounded by endless desert, with a Grand Canyon out there somewhere, featuring a huge Boulder Dam and endless lake beyond that. There'd be endless mountains up north with forest and even snowy regions higher up. All creating a realistic sense of scale, with towns and villages and of course Area 69 as the military base. Jackyfiend (now called Omnia sunt Communia) created a full thread which got some great feedback. Twin playable haracters would be a mafioso looking to forge a gambling empire and a corrupt cop (a woman) pursuing a two-faced agenda of her own, with neither storyline clashing with the other even when the two characters meet (you wouldn't want to grind away as one character only to destroy their progress with the other's missions).

The "engine" is the smallest of problems if you want every casino with an interior.
I would rather prefer focus on one or two Casinos which are modeled very good rather than quantity over quality.
With GTA V and partly GTA IV R* introduced a new standard when it comes to interior design, the interiors look all natural amd believeable and are immensly detailed on top of that.
I wish they would have more Free Roam interiors though and remove the stupid option of not being able to draw guns in some interiors.

The las venturas strip doesnt even have that many casinos. They could make at least 10 casinos and have full interiors for them with no problem. Im sure they can make some casinos smaller and some larger and grander. And not just casinos but also the other things in the hotels like the shops and the various attractions.

The city of las venturas itself doesnt even need to be that big, if it is the same size as broker/dukes that would be perfect. Then they could perfect the casino interiors and get the surrounding countryside to be large and detailed.

10 fully fledged interiors of more or less the same type of building are a waste of resources, as simple put.
2 Casinos are more than enough if the exterior of the city fits them.
They should rather focus on different interior types throughoit the city, like Strip Malls etc. instead of focusing on 10 Casino interiors...

I will definitely like a return to Las Venturas and see how it looks with an HD treatment. It might be a too ambitious project to accomplish, but having it alongside San Fierro in one map will be a dream coming true. The story scenarios will be varied and the gameplay options will almost be endless as both cities have their exclusive leisure experiences. Combined in a map that is twice the size of V's at least, we get the two cities with a plethora of wilderness and countryside separating them.

No, out of all the cities or places in the San Andreas map, I dislike Las Venturas the most. I drived through Las Venturas multiple times and it was just a boring place after a couple of time. The only interesting place is the strip which will take you five minutes to drive over and then you're just done. I think I would only like Las Venturas to return if it would be combined with the two other cities, San Fierro and Los Santos.
