Looks pretty neat. I really enjoyed the 2014 Godzilla film, this one kinda looks similar with how it's trying to make the monster really intimidating and not showing it too much on screen. Also really cool to see Samuel L. Jackson and John Goodman here.

I'm definitely getting more of a Jurassic Park-esque vibe from the teaser. It feels like they're going to focus on making Kong as intimidating as possible, which I think is a good thing.

Looks pretty good, I hope they make Kong look like the monster he is, and not soft like in 2005 movie...

I've heard this will be the biggest Kong yet. Hopefully big enough to set up a Kong vs. Godzilla film in the future.

Have they acknowledged whether this in the same universe as Godzilla 2014 ?

Sounded like Goodman's character was slightly referencing it.

Yeah Legendary is doing a monsters cinematic universe apparently. The Kong vs Godzilla movie is scheduled for 2020 I believe.

I'm surprised by this trailer. I would normally rate a modern film about a giant gorilla a bit vacuous but this looks like it has a bit of soul to it and a sense of adventure about it. Also, John Goodman is boss.

I loved the 2005 movie, if this movie is even half good it will still be awesome.

Kong looks ferocious, i can't wait til King Kong and Godzilla forget his differences because their moms have the same name.

i was going to say this movie looks like its set in the 70s/80s. so i guess this would have to be a prequel of Godzilla?

^^Liked the 2014 movie but that moment was a massive cockblocker.

I don't know if that moment was cinematic genius or pure douchebaggery.

maybe? it'd be weird to classify it as that, but I guess it could be so? I'm curious if there will be any hint towards Godzilla in the film, but at the same time there wasn't any indication of Kong in Godzilla.

I'm pumped that we will get another Godzilla, and if this flick does well then there will be no doubt be another movie for Kong... The only two Kong movies I have watched end with the famous Empire State Building scene, so I'm curious how the crossover will work.

If the rumors about Mothra, Rodan & King-Ghidora appearing in Godzilla 2 are true, that will be just as epic as Godzilla v Kong.

I haven't watched a lot of the old japanese Godzilla films, but I'm excited to see how they adapt a f*cking 3 headed golden dragon and a giant colorful moth into a Hollywood film. Hopefully they won't make them any less awesome.

Ghidorah looked decent in Final Wars, he was kinda like a Dragon Cerberus looking thing with more of a dark bronze color.

Well i guess at the time Godzilla was made, they probably wasn't sure if they were going to incorporate both franchises into one.  Also the 40yrs difference in time is a lot. it is very possible for them too end this movie with the characters thinking they "killed" king kong at the end of the movie. 40 years later no one is thinking about king kong or the ones that were there are probably dead or dying by now and im sure the gov would've blacklisted everything about the mission and island.

I wonder how they're gonna make Kong seem vulnerable now, he's f*cking huge. I hope they just make him a straight up monster with no sympathy.

I hope he's not, i loved the 2005 version of him, he was actually likeable and his rage was justified, he wasn't just a horny monster looking for a fight.

Wonder what's gonna happen in the movie, i mean, Kong is way too big to fight T-rexes and climbing the Empire State seems redundant. Who will challenge him?
The Kraken? Mazinger Z? Cthulhu? The final boss from War of the Monsters?

Kong will be nearly Godzilla's size, so I doubt you'll see the sympathetic version. At that height, humans are barely noticeable.

Peter Jackson blessed us with a good Kong,

hopefully this one will be good too.

Looks like he will serve as the antagonist at the start and will probably end as the protagonist... I think it will will just be evil men v him with a few other monsters on the island that can't lay claim to him.

You obviously didn't watch the classic king kong,it is much better than the sh*t remake by the sh*tty director peter jackson.
