After rereading The Blood Meridian I'd love to see an antagonist inspired by Judge Holden. If you don't know who Holden is, he is basically the Strange Man from RDR combined with Colonel Kurtz, Ted Bundy and Satan. They would probably have to tone down the brutality somewhat though, because it gets pretty damn disturbing at times to say the least. He knows he's an evil sumbitch and he makes no effort to hide it behind a moral compass. He's seemingly supernatural, appearing in places he has no business in being. He is an absolute monster one second, and studying new plant species the next. This quote pretty much sums him up: “Whatever in creation exists without my knowledge exists without my consent.”

I really hope we can crouch and go prone whilst shooting. Perhaps even go supine, which was a fairly common marksman position in the 19th and early 20th century.

Here's hoping I can play and dress as a native . . . maybe add in some tomahawks or bows.

I'd love to see a Django Unchained easter egg, maybe a carriage with a tooth on top of it like Schultz's.

Dual wielding is a must, not just two revolvers but a revolver and a melee weapon too, so if you miss an enemy you have that as a backup.

Wide range of guns, from the most modern (for the time) to ones that are outdated. Both single and double action revolvers. Have some muskets available too, hey if they're in Gta they can be in RDR too.

Bow and arrow, similar to the one in GUN, regular, flaming, and dynamite arrows available.

More clothing options, not just outfits but be able to combine different articles of clothing.

A wild and diverse map where you can really feel alone with only nature for company if you so wish.

The ability to build a homestead wherever you want, your own little slice of the wild west to go and relax in.

Improved melee combat.

1.long campaign with emotional depth.

2.if there are indeed 3 protags then atleast give us 1 real ending opposed the different ones from v.

3.when roaming around at night have npc gather at campfires telling creepy stories, some of them might even add a point of intrest to the minimap for the player to check out with a side mission attached to it.

4.the return of the myserious stranger.

5.more focus on sp then there was on v.

6.more in depth readable newspapers.

7.when you are far away from your safehouse, give us the option to rent a room in a local saloon/brothel.

8.some sort of barber but only in the "rich" parts of the map.

9.bring back the abbility to hogtie/kidnap npc's but now allow them to be fed to wild animals.

10.add swiming but make it a risky feature by jamming the character's guns for a 2 minutes after doing so.

11.while doing a gambling minigame, have the price not only be money but also food, drink, bullets etc.

I'm going to have to say the ability to shoot from the side of the horse, jumping from mounts would be a great in my opinion. I would like to finally see some kind of 'combat system' (not just kick & punch) but where you can slam enemies on interactive environments and unarmed executions (i.e.Snap necks, eyes gouge, strangling etc) struggles & pleads during armed executions.

As much as I want to see the Story focused on heavy and extensively, I would like to also see online get the same love. Imo GTAO got dull after a while with the focus on cars so heavy and billions lol. But with RDR2 it's very exciting to think what Rockstargames will implement as free updates and paid DLC but I'm ecstatic and with good faith know they wont let fans down. The ability to take on roles such as sheriff, farmer, bounty hunter etc. With each having it's pro's & con's, missions and duties I think would be cool too.

As for the world, I'm pretty sure rockstargames are going to go above and beyond anything we can imagine off hand. But I would like to see Organic life. bears hunting, hibernating, even protecting they're young even, wolves attacking deer strategically etc. And that also goes for every other animal from snake to owl. Just a few things I would like to see. But knowing rockstargames, jaws will drop come fall...hopefully

I agree. We should be able to just ride through the forest and see nature take it's place. It would be cool to see animals actually doing things instead of just roaming around or attacking us while we're close enough. Based of the little details that the trailer shows, it seems like there's gonna be a lot more conscientiousness when animals of different species are around each other. It's the first time I've seen one animal attack another in a Rockstar game so that is a good sign.

Absolutely, Its definitely going to be interesting to see how R* brings this world to life. I think it's going to be very innovative in many aspects that we as fans haven't seen before.

I would love to see horses & Hunting built on as well. Horses could have abilities like Attacks where you can rear a horse and clobber enemies from the front or brutal horse kicks from behind.

Hunting shouldn't be as easy as galloping up to a animal and shooting it. A in depth hunting system of some sort would be great imo. Where you can set bear traps, stealthy deer kills, The way you kill a animal matters, things of that nature.

The ability to have you and your posse run a town, gang hideout, train company etc.
Maybe hire Npc's to manage your saloon oil farm, Blacksmith or moonshine smugglers, hideout lookouts,Spies etc.

I hope the horses are even more realistic than rdr, you could probably upgrade your saddle to store weapons, goods and even deposit gold that you don't want to carry around. I online you could team up with you friends and form a posse and attack outlaw camps or native camps to get territory the arrows of the natives or other people have to stick to your body until you pull them out by pressing a button to allow an animation of your character pulling the arrow out. Reply this to show me your wonderful opinions please!

I totally agree. The west was gritty and bloody. The gore has to be in depth and realistic. Rdr1 you could see the hole you put in whatever you shot. With rdr2 I would like to see that built on big time. More in depth options of killing.

Horse breeding or trade maybe could be cool, maybe you can buy a very rare horse and breed it with different kinds of horses.
A slew of different breeds of horse from different abilities, sizes & assorted colors.

>Multiple player characters.   The trailer hints at that with its "Magnificent Seven," and there's even more hints that this is Dutch's Gang:  The Early Years

>Horses with personalities.  They should be so much more than just transportation.  Veteran warhorses who aren't skittish around gunfire and wild animals; wild mustangs that would just as soon buck, bite or boot you as to let you throw a saddle on them; nimble ponies that can outrun any posse; even old nags you can't even kick into a trot.   Breaking broncs, trading horses, rodeos, horse racing, roping mustangs....all these are key elements in the Western genre, and would add so much variety and entertainment to gameplay

>Cowboy up.   This is one of the most integral parts of the Western milieu, and offers so much adventure and gameplay.   Cattle drives should be the epic events they historically were.  Trails that stretched hundreds of miles across multiple states and territories; riding herd, cutting strays, defending against attacks by Indians and rustlers; losing the herd in a stampede; roping steers, wild bull riding in rodeos....all that

>Escorting wagon trains.  Opening up the West to settlement is another key feature of the Western.   Great opportunities for gameplay in escorting wagon trains across the plains and mountains and guarding against raids by Indians and bandits.  Fording rivers should be an epic event unto itself.  And dysentery....obviously

>Prospecting.  From panning in streams to setting up major mining camps with hydraulic flumes blasting gold out of the rock, mining should be a detailed minigame that can make you rich or leave you busted and broke.  With the option, of course, of jumping claims and taking gold the old fashioned way

>Native Americans.  Goes without saying.  If this is a prequel, the West should be full of a wide variety of tribes, not just the handful of curiously misplaced Apache in the snow-capped mountains of Cochinay from RDR1.  Indian raids and all-out wars should be a major part of the story, and players can opt to go native themselves to help the tribes reclaim their land, or become Indian fighters and protect forts and settlements.   And of course broaden our weapon variety with native bows, war clubs, tomahawks, lances and the like.

>Heists.  The strategy required doesn't need to be nearly as elaborate as GTA5, but robbing banks, trains and even stagecoaches should be a little more detailed than just shooting up the joint.  The size of the bounty on your gang should be determined by just how skilled you manage to pull off the robbery.

>Expanded gambling.  Winning a few dollars off an old cowhand in a back room at the ranch or hotel in a game of five-card stud was a fun diversion in RDR1, but you should be able to make an actual living off being a riverboat gambler (like my avatar namesake).  Have different levels of play, ranging up to high-stakes tournaments worth thousands of $$$ on showboats and in the bigger towns.  Include a wide variety of cheating options (vs. NPCs, not players).  Expand gambling past just poker....have poker variants (7-card Omaha, draw poker, Texas hold'em, etc.), but also blackjack, roulette, craps and even those once popular games you've never heard of, like faro and chemin de fer.  Allow for betting on horse races, bare knuckle fistfighting, turkey shoots, horseshoes and other side games.

>Detailed train physics.  Again, make it more than transportation.  There should be actual game physics involving a steam locomotive struggling up a mountain grade, or a player trying to rein in a runaway barreling down the slope with failing brakes.  An actual train robbery should be a jaw-dropping sight to behold.  Even allow the option of stopping a train (for robbery or other) with barricades or ripping up the tracks.  Maybe even have the expansion of rail lines being entirely story-driven....i.e., you have to complete certain sidequests to open a rail line to a distant town, etc.

>Steampunk expansion.  Not as part of the main game; but just as RDR1 crossed over into the horror genre with zombies, RDR2 could have an expansion pack that goes all League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen/Wild Wild West with Jules Verne tech.

Absolutely 👌
